편익귀속을 고려한 철도사업의 평가방법론에 대한 고찰 (Review of Railway Projects Evaluation Methodologies considering the Benefit Incidence)

  • In this paper, we reviewed the evaluation methodologies of railway project considering the benefit incidence. Generally railway projects are much more reduced tile energy consumption, traffic accident and environmental pollution than road projects. But conventional B/C analysis of railway project does not measured including those benefits. Also there is a few attention to an incidence of benefits producing from railway construction. So we developed the evaluation method of railway project contained the railway oriented benefits and also considered of the benefit incidence producing from railway construction.

  • To maintain the stability during the operation of railway vehicle, the perfect installation of rail, namely the orbit as well as the performance of the railway vehicle itself is required. The orbit of railway needs the intensity and elasticity that stands the shock and vibration due to the weight of the railway vehicle enough, Also, the driving safety during the operation of vehicle should be guaranteed, comfortable feeling of the passenger should be maintained, and the influence of the noise and vibration to the environs should be minimized. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that calculates the change of construction cost according to the selection of railway orbit. This study introduces the orbit design automation program according to the selection of railway orbit, and discuss the principle and the way to use of the program.

건설시설물 공정정보 시각화를 위한 4D CAD시스템의 개발 및 적용사례 분석 (Development and Case Study of 4D CAD System for Visualizing Schedule Data of Construction Project)

  • Recently, various 4D CAD systems for visualizing construction schedule data are being developed. Specially, in case of railway project, the numerical information of progress data should be changed with visualized data by long construction section because the railway project consists of long length in construction site. This study suggests a case study of development of 4D CAD system for visualizing schedule information and the major functions of developed system are verified by railway project. The detailed application procedure of 4D CAD system including input data for a railway project is described in the study. The practical application of 4D CAD system can be improved in railway project by these demonstration researches.

Probabilistic Approach on Railway Infrastructure Stability and Settlement Analysis

  • Railway construction needs vast soil investigation for its infrastructure foundation designs along the planned railway path to identify the design parameters for stability and serviceability checks. The soil investigation data are usually classified and grouped to decide design input parameters per each construction section and budget estimates. Deterministic design method which most civil engineer and practitioner are familiar with has a clear limitation in construction/maintenance budget control, and occasionally produced overdesigned or unsafe design problems. Instead of using a batch type analysis with predetermined input parameters, data population collected from site soil investigation and design load condition can be statistically estimated for the mean and variance to present the feature of data distribution and optimized with a best fitting probability function. Probabilistic approach using entire feature of design input data enables to predict the worst, best and most probable cases based on identified ranges of soil and load data, which will help railway designer select construction method to save the time and cost. This paper introduces two Monte Carlo simulations actually applied on estimation of retaining wall external stability and long term settlement of organic soil in soil investigation area for a recent high speed railway project.

  • While a year and a half has been passed since the launch of KTX service, traffic volume of Gyung-bu High Speed Railway is still much lower than the forecasted value. This situation has been badly affecting not only Korail's financial status but also KRNA's general railway construction projects as general public responds negatively to such projects as New Ho-nam Line Construction. This paper outlines traffic volume forecasting methodologies applied to construction of Gyung-bu High Speed Railway, identifies major causes of forecasting deviations. and finally extracts problems through comparison between the forecasted results and actual traffic volume.

도시철도 건설공사의 공종별 위험도에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Risk Level of Work Types in Urban Railway Construction)

  • The goals of this study were to investigate some significant factors to judge level of safety at urban railway construction field and to analyze degree of risk by work classification. Currently, there are lots of construction fields for the urban railway for national transportation, and our government also planned constructing more urban railway in near future. However, most of the researches on safety neglected the degree of risk factors on the urban railway construction field. Safety managers participated in the brainstorming session for deriving decision criteria of the degree of risk (i.e., significant factors). Then, they were asked to answer a structured questionnaire which was developed for deriving most important factors. Finally, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to analyze level of risk by work classification. The following results were obtained. First, total twelve factors judging degree of risk were found in the brainstorming session. Second, the questionnaire showed four significant factors, including adjacency of obstacle, intensity of work, unsafe condition and work space. Third, the results of AHP showed civil work is the most dangerous work among 6 work types. The results could be used to give the safety management priority on accident prevention efforts among several hazards and to reduce degree of risk in construction field of the urban railway.

철도 건설공사 현장의 안전사고에 관한 연구 (A Study on Safety Accidents at Construction Work Sites of Railway)

  • Railway is one of popular transportation systems. Due to the safety and in time, the transportation by train is preferred to the others for a long time. However, accidents under railway construction get more serious problems than in case of the other system, because it is the largest mass transportation system. Especially, the railway construction is composed of different kinds of construction works such as civil, architect, electric and mechanic. It is closely/complicatedly connected with various workers, large machines and facilities, regulations etc. In this study the data on safety accidents are corrected during 6 years(2004~2009) and analyzed by time(year, month, week, day, a.m or p.m), place, field, type etc. Results shows that there exists remakable trends on accidents, so efficient treatments should be prepared considering this trend.

  • 유라시아 이니셔티브의 일환으로 남북철도 연결사업을 실시하고 이를 통한 철도 물류망을 확보할 경우 대한민국은 또다른 경쟁력을 확보하고 이를 바탕으로 한 성장의 한 기틀이 마련될 수 있을 것이다. 남북철도 연결사업에서 철도노반분야의 가장 중요한 부분은 북한철도의 개량 또는 건설이다. 북한의 경우 지질학적으로는 대한민국과 큰 차이를 보이고 있지 않으나 특히 동절기 기후는 큰 차이를 보이고 있다. 동절기 기후에서 가장 철도 운행 안전에 피해를 주는 것은 동상이다. 동상은 선로구조물의 융기를 유발하여 철도차량의 운행안정성에 큰 위험요소로 작용한다. 하지만 대한민국은 북한에 비하여 상대적으로 온화한 기후로 인하여 극한의 조건에 대한 연구가 부족하며, 철도설계기준에도 구체적인 방안이 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 극한조건에서의 철도지하횡단구조물의 동상에 대하여 연구하였으며, 국외기준 분석 및 현장시공을 통한 철도설계기준 개정방안에 대하여 분석하였다.

저진동 궤도슬래브의 설계와 시공 (Design and Construction of Floating Slab Track)

  • Recently, railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. In the case of domestic situation, both rapid transit railway and existing railway have been operated in higher speed and the construction of railway near the city building has been increased as well. Because of the rapid transit system and heavy railway, the noise and vibration of railway has been increased so that the strong standards in terms of environmental matter should be required. Therefore, the solution to avoid environmental matters becomes one of the most important factor in constructing railway. In this study, floating slab system which is one of the solution to avoid noise and vibration in railway has been introduced, and the foreign technology and the trend of this business has been investigated. In addition, the method of conceptual design and construction of floating slab system according to the isolator has been introduced.

가상건설기법에 의한 철도역사 시설물 시공시뮬레이션 기능 구축 (Simulation Function of Railway Station Project by Virtual Construction Technology)

  • 가상건설기법은 공사대상 시설물을 설계부터 시공까지 3차원 가상공간에서 시행하여, 가상건설과정에서 실제 공사의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 철도연사 시설물을 가상건설기법으로 시공하는 방법론을 구축하였으며, 구축된 방법론에 근거하여 실제 시스템을 개발하여 호남고속철도의 역사 시공과정에 적용하여 실무 활용성을 검증하였다. 연구에서는 시퀀스다이어그램을 이용한 방법론을 통해 레이아웃 리뷰, 레이어 시뮬레이션 기능을 구축하였다. 이러한 기능은 건설프로젝트 정의의 이해를 돕고 3D 시뮬레이션의 효과를 증진시킬 수 있다. 이러한 가상건설기법은 철도역사 시설물의 시공단계 검증 도구로서 공정관리 시각화와 시공 적정성 판단 등의 도구로 활용될 수 있다.
