한국어판 간호대학생의 그릿 측정도구 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증 (Validity and reliability of Korean version of the Grit Scale for Korean nursing students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Korean Version of the Grit (Grit-K) scale for nursing students in Korea. Methods: The participants in the study were 277 nursing students. Their grit was verified by using self-reports and the results of a questionnaire. Grit was translated into Korean and its content validity was verified by five experts. The validity of the instrument was verified through item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability verification was analyzed by using internal consistency reliability. Results: Two factors were identified through exploratory factor analysis and six items of the original instrument were found to be valid. In the confirmatory factor analysis, the validity of the instrument was verified as the model. The internal consistency reliability was also acceptable and Grit was found to be an applicable instrument. Conclusion: This study shows that the Korean Version of the Grit Questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument to assess nursing students in Korea.

젊은 성인의 영양정보이해력 평가도구 개발 및 타당성 검증 (Development and validation of a nutrition literacy assessment tool for young adults)

  • 본 연구는 젊은 성인을 대상으로 영양정보이해력을 평가할 수 있는 측정도구를 개발하기 위해 수행되었다. 영양정보이해력 평가를 위한 예비문항으로서 우선 7개 영역 65문항이 개발되었다. 작성된 예비문항을 영양전문가 5인에게 자문을 받아 불필요한 문항을 삭제하여 7개 영역 52문항으로 압축시켰다. 영양전문가 패널 20인을 대상으로 내용타당도 검증을 하였으며, Lawshe가 제안한 CVR값을 구하여 내용타당도 검증에 활용하였다. 평가도구 최종 항목으로서 총 6개 영역, 즉 식생활지침, 영양과 건강, 영양소, 다섯가지 식품군 (식품구성자전거), 영양표시, 질병 예방을 위한 영양관리를 포괄하는 30문항이 완성되었다. 이 평가도구를 이용하여 서울과 경인지역에 거주하는 성인 211명을 대상으로 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 2주 간격으로 검사-재검사 (test-retest)를 실시하였으며, ICC값 (0.64-0.86)과 Cronbach's α 계수(0.83-0.90)를 산출한 결과 모두 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 개발된 도구는 영양정보이해력을 평가할 수 있는 적합한 내용을 담고 있으며, 신뢰도 또한 매우 높은 것으로 검증되어, 젊은 성인의 다양한 수준의 영양정보이해력을 판별할 수 있을 것으로 본다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 개발된 평가도구는 지역사회 영양중재 프로그램 계획 시 그리고 만성질환의 예방관리를 위한 영양교육을 위해 대상자의 영양정보이해력을 파악하는 진단도구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

투사이미지 분석기반 고령자 주거우울 척도 타당화 연구 (Validation of a Dwelling Depression Scale Based on Analysis of Projective Images)

  • 주거환경이 고령자 삶의 질을 결정하는 중요한 요인으로 인식되면서 고령자우울 측정의 필요성이 부각된다. 특히, 고령자 인지특성, 생활환경 등 다양한 변수를 고려하여 측정 도구를 개발하는 것은 정확한 심리 진단에 매우 중요한 일이다. 본 연구에서는, 2018년도 1월 22일부터 2월 2일까지 7개 시 구에 거주하는 65세 이상 남 여 단독가구 고령자 301명을 대상으로 주거환경 속에서 나타나는 우울을 투사적 이미지를 적용하여 측정하였다. 이를 위해 주거우울과 투사이미지의 상관관계를 규명하였고, 요인분석을 통해 투사이미지 기반 측정도구를 보완하였다. 고령자주거우울지수(GDDI)와 '투사이미지 기반 고령자주거우울지수'의 상관관계를 규명하였으며, 척도의 정확도를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 투사이미지를 활용한 설문은 서술형 설문과 높은 상관관계를 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 주거우울을 측정할 수 있는 새로운 도구를 제안하여 투사기법을 이용한 심리 진단 연구의 발판을 제공한데 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

사상성격검사(SPQ)의 임상 타당화 연구 (Clinical Validation of the Sasang Personality Questionnaire)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to validate the Sasang Personality Questionnaire (SPQ), based on the diagnosis of Sasang constitutional medicine clinical specialist. Methods : We performed Sasang type differentiation of 103 college students by certified specialist, and analyzed biopsychological traits of each groups with SPQ, Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI), Positive and Negative Affection Schedule (PANAS) and Body Mass Index (BMI). Results : The SPQ score of So-Yang ($33.1{\pm}0.79$), Tae-Eum ($29.03{\pm}0.67$) and So-Eum ($25.76{\pm}0.98$) Sasang groups showed significant differences from each other. The SPQ showed significant correlation with TCI Novelty-Seeking (r=.346), TCI Harm-Avoidance (r=-.348) and TCI Persistence (r=.346). But the BMI and PANAS did not show significant correlation with SPQ, although the PANAS Positive Affection (r=.332) has significant correlation with SPQ-Behavior. Conclusions : We confirmed the clinical validity of SPQ with clinical specialist and established biopsychosocial instruments. This study would contribute to a more objective diagnosis and studies on biopsychosocial mechanism of Sasang constitutional medicine.

Validity and reproducibility of a food frequency questionnaire to assess dietary nutrients for prevention and management of metabolic syndrome in Korea

  • Little data exists on metabolic syndrome (MetS) related with intake, especially for the South Korean. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) for nutritional assessment in the population with MetS in South Korea. Randomly selected female participants, mean age 21.9 years (n = 38) were invited to answer the FFQ twice (FFQ1 and FFQ2) over a nine-month interval and to complete twelve-day diet records (DR) during the months between in South Korea. The correlation coefficients for nutrient intake between FFQ1 and FFQ2 varied from 0.253 (niacin) to 0.573 (cholesterol), and the energy intake-adjusted correlation coefficients ranged from 0.187 for protein to 0.662 for iron. The energy intake-adjusted and de-attenuated correlation coefficients for comparison of FFQ1 and the DRs ranged between 0.277 (vitamin $B_1$) and 0.768 (fiber), and between 0.229 (zinc) and 0.859 (fat) for comparison of DRs with FFQ2. The percentages of study subjects classified into the same quartiles in both the DRs and FFQ1 ranged from 15.8% (vitamin $B_6$) to 47.4% (calcium), and for the same quartiles in DRs and FFQ2 from 13.2% (vitamin $B_1$) to 44.7% (potassium). The FFQ has reasonably good validity and reproducibility. Further research is needed for an assessment of reproducibility and validation of present FFQ in the subjects with MetS.

식사사진을 이용한 24시간 식사 회상 모바일 폰 앱의 나트륨 섭취 추정 타당성 연구 (Validity of Estimating Sodium Intake using a Mobile Phone Application of 24-hour Dietary Recall with Meal Photos)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to verify the validity of a mobile phone application (app) that applies a 24-hour dietary recall with meal photos, as a means of being a more accurate method of estimating dietary sodium intake. Methods: Of the 203 subjects enrolled, 172 subjects (84 males and 88 females) were selected for the final analysis, excluding those with an intake less than 500 kcal and urine output less than 500 ml. Dietary sodium assessment methods used for comparing with the 24-hour urinary sodium excretion are as follows: 1) face-to-face 24-hour dietary recall, 2) 24-hour dietary recall using the mobile app, 3) face-to-face 24-hour dietary recall considering liquid intakes from soup, stew, water kimchi and noodle, etc (liquid-based dishes), 4) 24-hour dietary recall using the mobile app considering liquid intakes from liquid-based dishes, and 5) food frequency questionnaire. Repeated ANOVA with Bonferroni method was used for comparing the average sodium intake, and Pearson's correlation was applied to correlate the methods used. Results: In women, no significant difference was observed in the average sodium intake between all methods. Moreover, analysis in men and total adults revealed no significant difference between the 24-hour urinary sodium secretion, and 24-hour dietary recall using the app and 24-hour dietary recall using the app considering liquid intakes. Sodium intake by food frequency questionnaire was significantly different when compared with the intake determined from 24-hour urinary sodium excretion. Sodium intake from all methods (except food frequency questionnaire) significantly correlated with values obtained from 24-hour urine sodium excretion. Conclusions: Results of this study validated a mobile phone app using a 24-hour dietary recall with meal photos to better estimate dietary sodium intakes. It is believed that further studies in the future will enable the application as a tool to more accurately determine sodium intake.

한국형 MHBT 영재판별 검사의 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of Korean MHBT for Identification of Giftedness)

  • 본 연구는 독일 MHBT 영재판별검사를 한국형으로 개발하여 타당화하는 데 목적이있다. 우선 MHBT 모델의 구성요소와 이를 활용한 다단계 영재판별과정 및 활용방법을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 MHBT는 인지능력검사인 KFT-HB와 중등용 영재판별 도구인 MHBT-S로 나뉘며, MHBT-S는 1) 공간표상능력, 공간지각 및 사고, 물리 및 기술문제해결 능력 2) 창의적 재능, 기본 동기 및 인식욕구, 성취욕구, 사회적 능력을 포함한 정의적 영역, 3) 작업태도 4) 흥미선호도로 구성되어 있다. 한국형 MHBT를 중학교 1, 2학년 영재교육원 학생과 일반학급 학생들에게 적용하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 그 결과 일부 하위영역에서 내적일관성 합치도가 낮은 것을 제외하면 전체 신뢰도는 매우 양호하였다. 대비집단을 이용한 타당도 검증 결과 인지능력검사와 공간 및 물리 관련 영역과 정의적 영역은 영재집단이 전체 점수와 모든 하위검사에서 유의하게 높았으며, 작업태도와 흥미선호도는 일부 영역에서 영재집단이 유의하게 높았다. KFT-HB와 MHBT-S 모두를 판별변인으로 했을 때 두 집단에 대한 판별률도 매우 높아 MHBT의 한국적 적용가능성은 자은 것으로 전망된다.

한국인 50세 이상 성인과 노인을 위한 반정량 식품섭취빈도 조사지의 개발 및 타당도 검증 (Development and Validation of a Computerized Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire Program for Evaluating the Nutritional Status of the Korean Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) for subjects aged 50yr and over and to evaluate the validity of this SQ-FFQ. Dietary intake was assessed using SQ-FFQ that included 98 commonly consumed flood items selected from the results of the Korean Health and Nutritional Survey, 1998. Subjects (n = 2,660) aged 50yr and over were recruited from 7 metropolitan cities and 8 small cities. Each subject was interviewed using this SQ-FFQ developed in our laboratory and 24hr-recall method. Excluding incomplete data, Data from 1,149 subjects were used in this validity study. The nutrient intakes assessed by this SQ-FFQ were validated by comparing with the results from 1 day 24-hour recalls. Pearson's correlation coefficients between two methods were 0.71, 0.64, 0.53, and 0.43 for energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fat, respectively for all subjects. Spearman's correlation coefficients were higher than those of Pearson's correlation coefficients. Kappa values for energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fat were 0.79, 0.72, 0.70, and 0.64, respectively. The percentage for misclassification of the lowest quartile into the highest quartile or vice versa was 1.25-1.39% for all nutrients. Therefore, this SQ-FFQ seems to be useful in assessing the nutritional status of the middle-aged and elderly subjects in Korea.

체형, 성격, 소증 기반 단축형 사상체질 진단설문지(KS-15) 개발 및 타당도 연구 (Development and Validation of Brief KS-15 (Korea Sasang Constitutional Diagnostic Questionnaire) Based on Body Shape, Temperament and Symptoms)

  • Objectives The aim of this study is to develop a Korea Sasang Constitutional Diagnostic Questionnaire (KS-15) with practicality and validity. Methods The data of body shape, temperament and symptoms were collected from 11 nationwide multi-centers in Korean Medical Clinics between Nov. 2009 to Aug. 2012. KS-15 algorithm was developed through Multinomial Logistic Regression and was applied for test group to verify it's classificatory function. Results The weight value of variables of KS-15 were different between male and female. The concordance of KS-15 with the expert in training group was 58.34% (72.8% in Tae-eumin, 54.8% in Soeumin, and 44.1% in Soyangin). The concordance of KS-15 with the expert in test group was 63.1% (63% in Tae-eumin, 83.3% in Soeumin, and 51.9% in Soyangin). Conclusions KS-15 seems to have suitable implement with practicality and validity. Further study is necessary to verify it accuracy and cut-off.

Higher food literacy scores are associated with healthier diet quality in children and adolescents: the development and validation of a two-dimensional food literacy measurement tool for children and adolescents

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Most child and adolescent food literacy measurement tools focus on nutrition and food safety. However, the importance of aspects related to the food system such as food distribution and food waste and their effects on environmental sustainability is growing. We therefore developed and validated a two-dimensional tool for children (8-12 years old) and adolescents (13-18 years old) that can comprehensively measure food literacy. The association of food literacy with diet quality and self-reported health was assessed. SUBJECTS/METHODS: First, we developed a food literacy conceptual framework that contains food system and literacy dimensions through a literature review, focus group interviews, and expert review. After a face validity study, we conducted the main survey (n = 200) to validate the questionnaire. Construct validity and reliability were assessed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and Cronbach's alpha. RESULTS: As a result of the Delphi study, content validity was confirmed for the remaining 30 items after two items were excluded (content validity ratio = 0.86). Eleven items were excluded from the EFA results, while the CFA results indicated appropriate fit indices for the proposed model (comparative fit index = 0.904, root mean square error of approximation = 0.068). The final food literacy questionnaire consisted of 19 questions and comprised 5 factors: production, distribution, selection, preparation and cooking, and intake. Food literacy was positively associated with diet quality, as assessed by the Nutrition Quotient score, in both children and adolescents and with self-reported health in adolescents.
