  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of concept understanding on the stratum for elementary school students. For this objective, questions on the stratum concept were developed, and concept survey was conducted for random sampling of $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ grade 536 students. As a result, students chosen correct answers of the average 57.4% for 16 questions. Below the average rate of correct answers in each domain were 1 question in the definition of the stratum, 3 questions in formation of the stratum, and 4 questions in features of the stratum. Especially, the percentage of correct answers were appeared in lowly that the difference between the visible side and non visible side on the stratum, the definition and formation process of a fault and the main cause of the stratum's exposure. Also, between the residence, grade, and gender of students, there were significant differences in 2 questions, 7 questions, and 1 questions, respectively. Therefore, many elementary school students do not have high understanding about the stratum concept. Through the results of this study, it can be contributed to find an efficient ways as a basic data for modify misconceptions of the stratum to the scientific concept.

  • Deferred payment letter of credit is the L/C that makes the issuing bank to pay a beneficiary at maturity stipulated in the credit. In this deferred payment letter of credit transaction, is it possible that a confirming or nominating bank payor negotiate before maturity? and the confirming or nominating bank have legal protection when paid or negotiated before maturity? These problems are raised in argument. By the way, Korea, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy are positive on the above question, but France, United Kingdom, and Singapore are negative. Therefore, when using deferred payment letter of credit, it is required to keep in mind that the understanding of maturity stipulated in the credit is different among countries, legal principles of each nations, and researchers. And other problems are raised also as follows; the application of Fraud Rule and principle of independence and abstraction as nature of credit, when to pay credit amount to beneficiary, and refusal of payment due to poor quality. Finally, it is required to use deferred payment letter of credit, after full understanding of deferred payment letter of credit pointed out in this paper.

  • Objectives: It was aimed to investigate the basic action mechanism of the autoimmune diseases and common features of all diseases. Autoimmune disease are classified organ specific and systemic. Methods: These diseases are seen systemic and disease start locations, origins seem differently. This makes learning and understanding difficult. Autoimmune diseases investigated for easier understanding. It was noticed that, autoimmune diseases' starting places are specific and same all of them. This remarkable point is very important for acupuncture also. So; whole literatüre was researched and important point was found. Results: Whole autoimmune diseases are attack to mesodermal layers and mesodermal origin organs of the body's. The common property of all these disease are same; Diseases start from the mesoderm and mesodermal layer even though their organ origins' belongs to different germ layer. From this point of view, we were able to classify autoimmune diseases simply and it was planned how can we effect body in this context with acupuncture. Conclusion: And, when immunity comes into question, induction of adaptive immunity is depend on antigen presentation to T cells and this situation take place in the lymph node (LN) and also in the skin. When we sank the acupuncture needle into skin, signals create and start mesodermal contacts, during this time mesenchymal origin' autoimmune cells are regulated with this signals.

  • Productive human resources are important assets for companies in facing the global economic competition. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of economic attitudes toward employees' job satisfaction as well as understanding the impact of economic attitudes toward employee productive behavior at "Sentra Tenun Ikat" in East Java. The research method applied in this study is quantitative research with an explanatory design, which is intended to gain a better understanding of the relationship between variables. The population in this study amounted to 394 participants from SMEs and joint business groups. Meanwhile, the sample was 197 people and collected using a proportional random sampling technique. The variable measurement was carried out by a questionnaire distributed to respondents, which consisted of thirty-five closed questions. Each question item provides five alternative answers. Furthermore, it is calculated using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) undergoing the LISREL 8.80 program. The findings indicated that there was a positive influence of economic attitudes on employees' job satisfaction. Indeed, the positive value coefficient indicates that there is an effect that is directly proportional to economic attitudes toward employees' productive behavior through employee performance satisfaction, namely, the better the economic attitude taken, the higher the productive behavior of employees.

  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to understand the Korean Medical understanding of the principles and physiology of breathing. Methods : Contents related to breathing were searched in the Korean Medical texts, after which they were categorized according to theme, then analyzed. Results : Breathing is a manifestation of life force originating from the 'innate original qi [先天一氣]'. Humans connect to the Heavenly qi-the origin of life- through breathing, through which the rhythm and consistency of yin/yang movement that enables maintenance of life qi could be embodied. The specific result of breathing is the circulation of qi and blood and the brightness of spirit. In addition, breathing is the process that connects human to heaven, allowing for the pulse or its rhythm to be maintained. Hence, breathing is alternately called 'the head of pulses'. Conclusions : Breathing in Korean Medicine goes beyond the scope of its biomedical understanding as a metabolic process of oxygen and carbon dioixde exchange, as it is concerned with the question of the origin of life. As such, the principle and effect of breathing is broadly connected to both innate and acquired life phenomena, wherein jing(精,) qi(氣,) shen(神) are all associated.

  • This research is how students and teacher apprehend mathematics education, pointing out problem areas as a basis on how to improve students understanding of mathematics through improved guidance by teachers in the future. 1107 high school students and 105 teachers from around Daejeon and Choongnam province were surveyed and the results were as follows. 1. 77 %( 852) of students viewed the "application of problem solving methods" as understanding mathematic problems. 2. Replies to the question on understanding the study of mathematics resulted in 85.7% of teachers saying "it is the understanding of the basic concept to which you solve the problems" 3. For questions relating to the large difference in-class mathematics achievements and mock University entrance exam achievements, students' response that "for in-class tests you only have to learn problems with similar form but the mock tests are not like that" pointed out the problem in the area of mathematics education. 4. For future mathematic education teachers will have to "explain better and more completely the basic principles and concepts before solving problems" , and make an effort to stimulate students by "creating a more fun atmosphere" . There will also be the need to prevent as much as possible, the use of "formula or memory driven problems" and encourage students to initiate problem solving for themselves.; and encourage students to initiate problem solving for themselves.

  • Purpose: The present study confirms the content validity and understanding level of the questions of the Korean version of caries management by risk assessment (CAMBRA). Methods: To develop the Korean version of CAMBRA for children aged 0-5 years, a series of steps were followed: first, translation and reverse-translation processes were conducted by an expert committee. To establish content validity, CAMBRA was modified to adapt to the conditions in Korea by 17 dental hygiene professionals with a master's or a higher degree. The responses were analyzed using analysis of frequency and descriptive statistics. Content validity was verified by calculating the content validity index (CVI). The survey was administered to 64 mothers and caregivers to assess the understanding level of questions of the Korean version of CAMBRA. Results: Content validity of each of the items showed an S-CVI/AVE value of 0.79, but the content validities varied from 0.63 to 1.0. The understanding level of each question was between 3.56 and 4.46, thus showing favorable results. Conclusion: It was concluded that the test items verified for content validity were suitable for assessing caries risk for children of ages 0-5 years. This study would contribute to improving children's oral health and disease prevention by providing timely intervention.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the Science Writing Heuristic (SWH) teaching strategy on cognitive levels, science concept understanding, argumentation and writing skills. 131 students attending to co-ed middle school were selected for the study and assigned to the experimental and comparative group. The teaching strategy using SWH was applied to the experimental group, while the traditional one led by teacher's lecturing was applied to the comparative group. The cognitive level test (SRT II) and baseline test were administered before the instruction period. The summary writing test and SRT II test were administered after instruction. The results showed that there was a significant difference between two groups in cognitive levels and science concept understanding, whole argumentation and writing skills. However, there was no significant difference in some argumentation components, including warrant, backing, qualifier, rebuttal, metacongnitive question. The results of this study showed the possibility of implementation of SWH in science classroom teaching.

  • As the use of signatures for identification purposes is pervasive in society and has a long history in business, dynamic signature verification (DSV) could be an answer to authenticating a document signed electronically and establishing the identity of that document in a dispute. DSV has the advantage in that traits of the signature can be collected on a digitizer. The research question of this paper is to understand how the individual variables vary across devices. In applied applications, this is important because if the signature variables change across the digitizers this will impact performance and the ability to use those variable. Understanding which traits are consistent across devices will aid dynamic signature algorithm designers to create more robust algorithms.
