통합 해석 모델을 활용한 사용성 평가 -모바일 인터페이스 디자인의 시선추적 분석을 중심으로- (Usability Test by Integrated Analysis Model - With Emphasis on Eyegaze Analysis of Mobile Interface Design)

  • 본 연구는 제품과 사용자의 관계를 직접 관찰할 수 있는 방법으로써 시선추적 장비를 활용하여 기존의 사용성 평가 기법들의 한계를 보완하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해, 시선추적 분석을 위한 이론을 기반으로 새로운 평가기법 '시선추적 사용검사와 휴리스틱 평가'를 제안하였다. 그리고, 모바일 폰에 대한 사용성 평가를 통해 시선의 경로와 고정점을 통해 사용자의 관심을 확인하고, 동공크기의 기록을 통해 사용자의 인지과정을 이해하기 위한 단서를 효과적으로 얻을 수 있었다. 그 결과, 디자인의 시각적인 속성을 활용하기 위해 시선추적 기록을 분석하고, 동공의 확대를 관찰하여 사용자의 감정상태를 유추함으로써 디자인의 사용성 분석을 효과적으로 평가할 수 있었다.

전문경력인사 초빙활용지원사업의 성과 평가 요소 개발 연구 (Development of the Factors for Evaluating Performance of the Professional Career Personnel Invitation Program)

  • 본 연구는 전문경력인사 초빙활용지원사업의 성과 관리 및 평가 체계 강화를 위해 전문경력인사의 과업 수행에 대한 체계적·포괄적 평가가 가능한 평가 요소를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 경계이론과 커크패트릭 4수준 평가 모델에 기반을 두고 사업 평가와 관련한 기존 연구를 분석하여 성과 평가 프레임워크를 개발하였다. 이후 2차에 걸친 델파이 조사 방법을 활용하여 전문경력인사의 개인 측면과 활용 기관 측면에서 성과를 측정할 수 있는 평가 요소를 도출하고, 구체적인 측정 문항을 개발하여 타당화 작업을 진행하였다. 이러한 절차를 거쳐 최종적으로 적용성, 연계성, 명확성, 적합성, 확장성 등 5가지 평가 요소를 선정하였으며, 각 요소별 구체적인 평가 목적을 수립하여 실제 전문경력인사 초빙활용지원사업의 성과 관리를 위해 적용 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구는 1994년부터 한국연구재단에서 운영하고 있는 전문경력인사 초빙활용지원사업의 성과 관리를 위해 정량적 정성평가가 가능한 성과 평가 체계와 요소를 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

  • 본 연구는 중고거래 온라인 플랫폼 중 국내 대표 서비스인 당근마켓과 번개장터를 중심으로 보안 관련 서비스에 관한 사용자 경험을 측정하는 데 목적이 있다. 모바일 애플리케이션을 이용한 태스크 실험과 설문조사 및 심층인터뷰를 진행하여 정성적, 정량적 연구를 진행했다. 연구 결과 현 중고거래 플랫폼 내의 안전성과 보안성 관련 서비스를 사용자들이 더욱더 쉽게 인지 할 수 있도록 적극적인 인터페이스가 필요하고, 판매자에게도 이익 실현이 이루어지는 거래방식이 필요하며, 보안성을 강화하기 위해 제공되고 있는 서비스 또한 지속해서 그래픽(Graphic) 요소의 시인성을 높여야 한다. 이 연구는 구매자가 판매자가 되는 C2C 형태의 플랫폼에서 보안성 측면을 고려한 안전한 중고거래 플랫폼의 지속적인 발전에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

연탄재 처리 환경미화원의 분진 및 호흡성 석영 노출 (Occupational exposure to dust and respirable quartz in coal briquettes ash handling worker)

  • The purpose of this study is to assess respirable crystalline silica (RCS) exposure levels in workers who collect and dispose used coal briquette ash (CBA) in sanitation companies that are subcontracted by one medium-sized local government on the collection of municipal household waste (MHW), and to analyze the quartz content in CBA. When the CBA powder that undergone specialized pretreatment in several steps were subjected to mineral identification and quantitative analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD), it was found that quartz represented 18%, and in addition, mullite, and plagioclase were included. For two CBA collectors, samples were collected by the personal sampling evaluation method. After respirable dust was collected in accordance with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health 7500 method, the concentration of quartz was analyzed using XRD. Meanwhile, a portable real-time dust monitor (Sidepak AM520, TSI Inc., USA) was also used to observe the dust exposure level for each time zone and job task. The RCS exposure level of one worker was as high as 0.024 mg/㎥, which was the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Threshold Limit Values (TLV) level. The other worker also exhibited a concentration of 0.013 mg/㎥, which was more than half of TLV. The Sidepak results revealed that the work of collecting CBA and loading it onto a vehicle was hardly exposed to the dust of a significant level. It was found, however, that the work of transferring the collected CBA to a container through a conveyor belt was exposed to a very high average respirable dust concentration of 2.238 mg/㎥. The results of this study confirmed that quartz, which is crystalline silica and a carcinogen, is contained in CBA, one of municipal household waste (MHW), in high concentration. It was also confirmed that workers are exposed to high RCS concentrations while transferring collected CBA into a container. Although each local government in South Korea handles CBA in different ways, it is imperative to investigate the CBA exposure level of sanitation workers and improve their working conditions.

  • COVID-19 대유행으로 급속히 침체하였던 국내외 항공업계는 바이러스 백신 접종을 시작으로 조심스럽게 경영 정상화를 준비하고 있으며, 국내 및 근거리 해외 시장을 공유하고 있는 대형항공사와 저비용항공사 간의 경쟁 역시 다시 치열해질 것으로 예상한다. 이러한 상황에서 지금까지 국가, 도시, 일부 기업을 대상으로 이루어지던 브랜드 자산에 관한 연구를 국내 항공사 대상으로 진행하였다. 본 연구는 대상의 인식, 가치, 태도, 신념과 같은 개념을 연구하기 위해 양적·질적 연구 방법의 한계를 보완하고자 제안된 Q 방법론을 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 항공사 브랜드 이용자들은 실속 추구형, 가치 지향형, 업무 관련형의 총 3가지 유형이 도출되었고, Q 표본으로부터 25개 진술문을 확보하고 20명으로 구성된 P 표본의 주관성을 관찰하여 유형별 특징을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 대형항공사와 저비용항공사의 브랜드 자산 유형을 탐색하고, 소비자의 인식을 비교함으로써 항공사 브랜드 자산의 효율적 관리에 전략적 방향을 제시하고, 후속 연구를 위한 가설을 제공한다는 측면에서 의의가 있다.

New Sources of Resistance and Identification of DNA Marker Loci for Sheath Blight Disease Caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn, in Rice

  • Sheath blight disease caused by the necrotrophic, soilborne pathogen Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn, is the global threat to rice production. Lack of reliable stable resistance sources in rice germplasm pool for sheath blight has made resistance breeding a very difficult task. In the current study, 101 rice landraces were screened against R. solani under artificial epiphytotics and identified six moderately resistant landraces, Jigguvaratiga, Honasu, Jeer Sali, Jeeraga-2, BiliKagga, and Medini Sannabatta with relative lesion height (RLH) range of 21-30%. Landrace Jigguvaratiga with consistent and better level of resistance (21% RLH) than resistant check Tetep (RLH 28%) was used to develop mapping population. DNA markers associated with ShB resistance were identified in F2 mapping population developed from Jigguvaratiga × BPT5204 (susceptible variety) using bulk segregant analysis. Among 56 parental polymorphic markers, RM5556, RM6208, and RM7 were polymorphic between the bulks. Single marker analysis indicated the significant association of ShB with RM5556 and RM6208 with phenotypic variance (R2) of 28.29 and 20.06%, respectively. Co-segregation analysis confirmed the strong association of RM5556 and RM6208 located on chromosome 8 for ShB trait. This is the first report on association of RM6208 marker for ShB resistance. In silico analysis revealed that RM6208 loci resides the stearoyl ACP desaturases protein, which is involved in defense mechanism against plant pathogens. RM5556 loci resides a protein, with unknown function. The putative candidate genes or quantitative trait locus harbouring at the marker interval of RM5556 and RM6208 can be further used to develop ShB resistant varieties using molecular breeding approaches.

  • The map where so-called 'New Religion' of Korea in the Colonial Era is entangled with 'Religion (Christianity, Buddhism, Shindo)' recognized by the Japanese Government General of Korea and nationalism. Accordingly positive research on how religious ideal and ideology in 'New Religion' in Korea was practically applied and practiced in the society is a crucial task. Meanwhile there is survey data representing the status in the long term from 1860s to early 1930s in regard to 'New Religion' of Korea in the Colonial Era. In other words it is 'Pseudo Religion in Joseon' by Murayama Jijun published in 1935. Most part of them are shown through statistics data. In particular he took a look at the distribution of 'Pseudo Religion', ups and downs of religious influence, faith consciousness, its impact and religious ideological movement and social movement. Therefore, if this statistical data could be utilized through quellenkritik, it is thought to have value of significant reference in research on Korea's 'New Religion'. This paper utilizes many statistics included in the survey data among critical review on recognition in Murayama's 'New Religion in Korea' as basic texts. During the procedure this paper seeks to look at the geology of Korean 'New Religion' and attempts basic consideration in the quantitative term related to trend and ups and downs of the groups. Through this basic research I hope that 'public concern of New Religion' in modern Korea and research on re-establishment will move forward.

  • Weather forecasting has become a very popular topic nowadays among researchers because of its various effects on global lives. It is a technique to predict the future, what is going to happen in the atmosphere by analyzing various available datasets such as rain, snow, cloud cover, temperature, moisture in the air, and wind speed with the help of our gained scientific knowledge i.e., several approaches and set of rules or we can say them as algorithms that are being used to analyze and predict the weather. Weather analysis and prediction are required to prevent nature from natural losses before it happens by using a Deep Learning Approach. This analysis and prediction are the most challenging task because of having multidimensional and nonlinear data. Several Deep Learning Approaches are available: Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), needs a highly calculative mathematical equation to gain the present condition of the weather. Quantitative precipitation nowcasting (QPN), is also used for weather prediction. In this article, we have implemented and analyzed the various distinct techniques that are being used in data mining for weather prediction.

정상인에서 기능적 뇌 자기공명영상과 확산텐서영상 합성기법을 이용한 피질척수로의 위치에 따른 정량적 분석 (Quantitative Evaluation of the Corticospinal Tract Segmented by Using Co-registered Functional MRI and Diffusion Tensor Tractography)

  • 목적 : 기능적 뇌 자기공명영상 (fMRI)과 확산텐서영상(DTI) 합성기법을 이용하여 피질척수로의 여러 부위에서 정량적 특성을 연구하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 신경학적 이상이 없는 정상인 10명 (남: 8, 여: 2, 평균연령: 30세, 연령분포 : 22 -38세)을 대상으로 하였다. fMRI는 1.5T를 이용하였으며, 손의 쥐기 펴기를 수행하였다. fMRI와 확산텐서섬유로(DTT)의 합성이 가능한 DtiStudio 프로그램을 이용하여 피질척수로를 3차원 영상화하였다. 이때, 시작 관심영역은 2차원 분할 비등방성(fractional anisotropy, FA) 색지도(color map)에서 fMRI의 운동 수행 시 활성부위가 가장 많은 곳으로, 목표 관심영역은 하부 전방 뇌교의 피질척수 부위로 설정하였다. 정량적 분석을 위하여 관심영역을 부채살부터 연수까지 좌우 각각 5곳에 설정하여 분할 비등방성과 현성 확산계수(ADC)를 측정하였다. 결과 : 모든 대상자는 fMRI에서 일차 감각운동 영역이 주로 활성화되었다. 확산텐서 영상에서 피질척수로의 경로는 일차 감각운동 영역부터 연수까지 주행하였다. 피질척수로의 FA 값은 모든 대상자에서 중뇌와 내측 섬유띠의 후지가 타 부위보다 높았다. 결론 : fMRI와 DTT의 합성기법은 피질척수로 상태의 3차원 영상화 및 각 부위에서 FA와 ADC값을 이용한 정량적 분석이 가능하였다. 앞으로, fMRI와 DTT 합성기법은 뇌손상 환자에서 피질척수로의 명확한 상태를 연구하는 데 유용하게 이용될 것으로 사료된다.

Hardware Approach to Fuzzy Inference―ASIC and RISC―

  • This talk presents the overview of the author's research and development activities on fuzzy inference hardware. We involved it with two distinct approaches. The first approach is to use application specific integrated circuits (ASIC) technology. The fuzzy inference method is directly implemented in silicon. The second approach, which is in its preliminary stage, is to use more conventional microprocessor architecture. Here, we use a quantitative technique used by designer of reduced instruction set computer (RISC) to modify an architecture of a microprocessor. In the ASIC approach, we implemented the most widely used fuzzy inference mechanism directly on silicon. The mechanism is beaded on a max-min compositional rule of inference, and Mandami's method of fuzzy implication. The two VLSI fuzzy inference chips are designed, fabricated, and fully tested. Both used a full-custom CMOS technology. The second and more claborate chip was designed at the University of North Carolina(U C) in cooperation with MCNC. Both VLSI chips had muliple datapaths for rule digital fuzzy inference chips had multiple datapaths for rule evaluation, and they executed multiple fuzzy if-then rules in parallel. The AT & T chip is the first digital fuzzy inference chip in the world. It ran with a 20 MHz clock cycle and achieved an approximately 80.000 Fuzzy Logical inferences Per Second (FLIPS). It stored and executed 16 fuzzy if-then rules. Since it was designed as a proof of concept prototype chip, it had minimal amount of peripheral logic for system integration. UNC/MCNC chip consists of 688,131 transistors of which 476,160 are used for RAM memory. It ran with a 10 MHz clock cycle. The chip has a 3-staged pipeline and initiates a computation of new inference every 64 cycle. This chip achieved an approximately 160,000 FLIPS. The new architecture have the following important improvements from the AT & T chip: Programmable rule set memory (RAM). On-chip fuzzification operation by a table lookup method. On-chip defuzzification operation by a centroid method. Reconfigurable architecture for processing two rule formats. RAM/datapath redundancy for higher yield It can store and execute 51 if-then rule of the following format: IF A and B and C and D Then Do E, and Then Do F. With this format, the chip takes four inputs and produces two outputs. By software reconfiguration, it can store and execute 102 if-then rules of the following simpler format using the same datapath: IF A and B Then Do E. With this format the chip takes two inputs and produces one outputs. We have built two VME-bus board systems based on this chip for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The board is now installed in a robot at ORNL. Researchers uses this board for experiment in autonomous robot navigation. The Fuzzy Logic system board places the Fuzzy chip into a VMEbus environment. High level C language functions hide the operational details of the board from the applications programme . The programmer treats rule memories and fuzzification function memories as local structures passed as parameters to the C functions. ASIC fuzzy inference hardware is extremely fast, but they are limited in generality. Many aspects of the design are limited or fixed. We have proposed to designing a are limited or fixed. We have proposed to designing a fuzzy information processor as an application specific processor using a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach was developed by RISC designers. In effect, we are interested in evaluating the effectiveness of a specialized RISC processor for fuzzy information processing. As the first step, we measured the possible speed-up of a fuzzy inference program based on if-then rules by an introduction of specialized instructions, i.e., min and max instructions. The minimum and maximum operations are heavily used in fuzzy logic applications as fuzzy intersection and union. We performed measurements using a MIPS R3000 as a base micropro essor. The initial result is encouraging. We can achieve as high as a 2.5 increase in inference speed if the R3000 had min and max instructions. Also, they are useful for speeding up other fuzzy operations such as bounded product and bounded sum. The embedded processor's main task is to control some device or process. It usually runs a single or a embedded processer to create an embedded processor for fuzzy control is very effective. Table I shows the measured speed of the inference by a MIPS R3000 microprocessor, a fictitious MIPS R3000 microprocessor with min and max instructions, and a UNC/MCNC ASIC fuzzy inference chip. The software that used on microprocessors is a simulator of the ASIC chip. The first row is the computation time in seconds of 6000 inferences using 51 rules where each fuzzy set is represented by an array of 64 elements. The second row is the time required to perform a single inference. The last row is the fuzzy logical inferences per second (FLIPS) measured for ach device. There is a large gap in run time between the ASIC and software approaches even if we resort to a specialized fuzzy microprocessor. As for design time and cost, these two approaches represent two extremes. An ASIC approach is extremely expensive. It is, therefore, an important research topic to design a specialized computing architecture for fuzzy applications that falls between these two extremes both in run time and design time/cost.
