This paper describes the standard system for calibrating pulse generator of partial discharge(PD) and its uncertainty. The system is consisted of digital pulse generator, digital recorder and evaluation software. The uncertainty requirement of calibrator charge is less than $\pm$ (0.1pC + 0.03q) and that of pulse duration is less than $\pm$ 10 %. The system can generate various kind of calibration pulses such as single pulse, double pulses, oscillation pulse, long-duration pulse, random pulses and evaluate their uncertainty.

This paper describes an all solid-state switch pulse generator for various applications where square pulse voltage is required. The pulse generator produces various voltage pulses: voltage $5{\sim}100kV$. current $10{\sim}200A$, pulse width $1{\sim}10{\mu}sec$, repetition rate up to 500Hz. The output power is the combination of these parameters up to 10kW. It consists of a DC-DC converter and several pulse generating modules which are connected in series to obtain higher pulse voltage. Each module contains semiconductor switches (IGBT's), energy storage capacitors and control units to trigger switches. The structure and operational principle are described and the protection circuit for reliable operation is suggested. Experimental results show that the pulse generator can be used for applications with nonlinear loads.

High voltage pulse generator with fast rise time has been studied theoretically and experimentally. The complexity and stray inductance of a pulse generator components can be very difficult to reduce. As a result, a compact size and stable Pulse can be obtained by using a rotary air-hole. Parametric studies showed that the rise time of the output pulse was depended little on the change of the revolutions per minute(RPM) while the pulse width of the output pulse was depended greatly upon the change of the revolutions per minute (RPM).

A pulse generator of one stage magnetic pulse compression modulator was simulated by electromagnetic transients program (EMTP). The pulse generator was expected to generate ${\sim}80kV$ peak voltage, ${\sim}140ns$ pulse width and about $70{\sim}75%$ energy delivery efficiency from initial charge capacitor $(0.2{\mu}F)$ to dummy load $(25{\Omega})$. From this simulation, the scheme of pulse circuit could be estimated as a practically reasonable design.

In pulsed-power techniques. Marx generator is generally used for the high-power device. but this generator has insulation and spatial problems. So we will suggest a pulse transformer that has a small size to generate the high voltage pulse instead of Marx generator. In this paper, Pulse duration is 4 [${\mu}s$] and the ratio of input and output voltage is 40[kV]/200[kV](step-up ratio=5). The output voltage and the process of pulse compression for pulse circuit are simulated by EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transient Program). The secondary voltage of pulse transformer is about 200[kV] and pulse width is 4[t/s]. When the secondary winding of the pulse transformer is saturated. the pulse width is 1.25[${\mu}s$]. We selected dummy load 50[$\Omega$] for impedance matching. The pulse voltage of dummy load is 100[kV] and pulse width is 500[ns].

항공기나 위성에 탑재되어 지표면의 영상을 획득하기 위한 합성 개구 레이더의 영상 분해능은 거리 방향 분해능(Range Resolution)과 이에 수직한 방향의 분해능(Azimuth Resolution)으로 구분할 수 있다. 레이더 센서를 이용한 영상의 해상도를 향상시키기 위해서는 신호처리를 위한 첩 펄스를 광대역화 할 필요가 있으며, 본 논문에서는 고해상도의 영상을 획득 할 수 있는 디지털 첩 펄스 발생기를 설계하였다. 디지털 첩 펄스 발생기는 크게 AWG방식과 DDS방식으로 구분할 수 있으며 본 연구에서는 DDS방식의 첩 펄스 발생기로 선형 주파수 변조(LFM) 파를 발생시키는 300MHz 대역의 광대역 디지털 첩 펄스 발생기를 개발하였다. 개발된 첩 펄스 발생기는 거리 방향 분해능이 50cm 이상 되는 고해상도 영상 레이더 시스템을 구현할 수 있는 성능을 가진다.

A high-voltage generator is used to program the anti-fuse of the semiconductor chip. A new high-voltage generator consists of PN diodes and new stack type capacitors. An oscillator supply pulses to the high-voltage generator. The pulse period of the oscillator is delayed by controlling gate-voltage of the MOS. The pulse period is about 27ns, therefore the pulse frequency is about 37MHz. The threshold voltage of PN diode is about 0.8V. The capacitance of new stack type capacitor is about 4pF. The output voltage of the new high-voltage generator is about 7.9V and its current capacity is about $488{\mu}$A.

High-capacity high-voltage pulse generator that can be used for environmental clean-up was developed using transformers. High-voltage pulse is consists of the primary wave and the harmonic wave which are increased as a series circuit using transformers to make pulses. Each transformer has a band-pass characteristics. The output voltage of the pulse width 50[%] was decided. The output voltage of high-voltage pulse generator device was measured as 1.4[kV] (Peak-to-Peak).

This paper proposes a compact pulse generator fur NOx removal application for diesel automotive. The rising time is important factor to increase NOx removal efficiency in pulsed corona discharge method. Manufacturing cost and compactness of the pulse power generator should be satisfied for automotive application. The proposed pulse power uses a low voltage thyristor, a pulse transformer with the function of saturated magnetic switch, and series connected general diodes as opening switch to satisfy that requirements. With 200 resistor load, the experiment results show that the output voltage is 21kV, the rising time is about 21ns, and the pulse width (FWHM) is about 42ns.

Using power semiconductor switches such as IGBTs diodes and L-C circuits novel repetitive impulse voltage generator is developed. In the presented circuits high voltage pulse is generated by series-connection of capacitors and IGBTs. The charging of capacitors and voltage balance of IGBTs is done automatically. To verify the proposed circuit 20kV, 300A pulse generator is manufactured and tested.
