  • In this work, we successfully extended dimensional differential transform method (DTM), by presenting and proving some new theorems, to solve the non-linear matrix differential Riccati equations(first and second kind of Riccati matrix differential equations). This technique provides a sequence of matrix functions which converges to the exact solution of the problem. Examples show that the method is effective.

  • The notion of a Dirichlet set has been studied for several decades. Such sets are named in honour of Dirichlet's Theorem [4, pp.235] which, in modern terminology, simply says that every finite set in R is a dirichlet set. In this paper, we present a structure theorem which characterizes all D-sets on the real line. We also use our structure theorem to give a new proof of a known criterion for proving that a set fails to be a D-set.

  • We introduce a new norm, called the $N^p$-norm (1 $\leq$ p < ${\infty}$ on the space $N^p$(V,W) where V and W are abstract operator spaces. By proving some fundamental properties of the space $N^p$(V,W), we also discover that if W is complete, then the space $N^p$(V,W) is also a Banach space with respect to this norm for 1 $\leq$ p < ${\infty}$.

  • We first aim at proving an interesting easily derivable summation formula. Then it is easily seen that this formula immediately yields a hypergeometric summation theorem recently added to the literature by Qureshi et al. Moreover we apply the main formulas to present some interesting summation formulas, whose special cases are also seen to yield the earlier known results.

  • In this paper, we prove a general uniqueness theorem which is useful for proving the uniqueness of the relevant additive mapping, quadratic mapping, cubic mapping, quartic mapping, or the additive-quadratic-cubic-quartic mapping when we investigate the (generalized) Hyers-Ulam stability.

  • This work proposes a new distributed and self-organized authentication scheme for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). Apart from describing all its components, special emphasis is placed on proving that the proposal fulfils most requirements derived from the special characteristics of MANETs, including limited physical protection of broadcast medium, frequent route changes caused by mobility, and lack of structured hierarchy. Interesting conclusions are obtained from an analysis of simulation experiments in different scenarios.

  • This paper deals with the study of solutions for the elliptic system with jumping nonlineartity and growth nonlinearity and Dirichlet boundary condition. We apply the two critical point theorem when proving the existence of nontrivial solutions for the elliptic system. We define the energy functional associated to the elliptic system and prove that the functional has two critical values.

  • In this study, the algorithm which can estimate displacements from the acceleration data is developed. For proving the validity of this study, the calculated displacements are compared with the measured displacements through the forced vibration tests in the laboratory. So the sampling frequency and filtering range for the estimation of the displacements are proposed. Finally, these results are applied to estimate displacements from the acceleration data obtained from the real bridge.

  • In 3rd-generation mobile communication systems providing packet service, optimal scheduling algorithms we needed to increase service efficiency. In this paper, three scheduling algorithms (SP, EDF, and RPQ) which have been studied in the field of computer networks are applied with transmit power constraint to an interference-limited CDMA system, proving to be efficient.
