  • 무선 인터넷의 활성화와 더불어, 사용자 인중(Authentication), 권한 부여(Accounting) 그리고 자원사용(Accounting)의 세가지 AAA 서비스를 효율적으로 제공하기 위해 RADIUS와 같은 AAA프로토콜들이 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Casper와 CSP를 이용하여 RADIUS 프로토콜을 수행동작을 명세하고, 모델 체킹 도구인 FDR을 사용하여 RADIUS 프로토콜의 안전성을 분석하고자 하였다.

  • The whole design process drawing outputs from design planning is based on designers' intuitive ideas and differences in technical ability. However, every design professional agrees to the fact that such design process is filled with individuals' implicit acts or inherent intuition rather than following directions in a certain defined frame. If the design process based on such intuition and experience can start from the rational and scientific process, it would be possible to move more systematic design process to the next step. This study aims to examine what system of thinking are used by designers to conduct the design information process, by using the protocol analysis which is the representative qualitative study method of cognitive science, on designers' cognitive behaviors like the contents of the design sketch process which is the initial step of the kitchenware development process, in order to understand professionals' and non-professionals' design application direction. Thus, the scope of this paper would be limited to "the initial protocol analysis on kitchenware" and "encoding of the analysis on thinking" in the qualitative study that can be the most basic to understand the design cognitive science. As a procedure to solve this study question, it aimed to seek for the product development flow and the educational effect by considering the preceding researches and also re-interpreting cognitive thinking in systematic methods.

  • A real-time network in a distributed control system plays an important role for the reliable data transmission. Compared to the field-buses used in the past, TCP/IP protocol on the top of Ethered provides a compatibility between applications as well as an economical method to develop softwares. This paper proposes a modified TCP/IP structure for IEEE-1394 network, with which asynchronous and isochronous data transmission is selectively used for the real-time data transmission in a distributed control system. This paper also shows the performance of the proposed protocol by experiments.

  • Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) has been considered as an key infrastructure for the ubiquitous society. However, due to the inherent drawbacks, RFID causes var- ious security threats like privacy problems, tag cloning, etc. This paper analyses the security risk analysis process from the perspective of the RFID tag life cycle, identify the tag usage process, identify the associated vulnerability and threat to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information assets and its implications for privacy, and the mitigate the risks.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate the 'state of the art' of the interdomain routing protocol BGP. First, BGP is critically reviewed focusing on the BGP policy and decision making process. And then the problems which still remain as open questions are investigated in the areas of 1) protocol stability, 2) traffic engineering and 3) quality of service. The recent research trend to answer the open questions is discussed.

  • It is well known that if usage parameter control/network parameter control (UPC/NPC) functions are used together with a cell loss priority control scheme in ATM networks, the measurement phasing problem can occur. This makes it difficult for a network provider to define and commit the cell loss ratio as a QoS parameter. To solve the problem, we propose a new UPC/NPC algorithm. By using the proposed UPC/NPC algorithm, we can define the cell loss ratios for CLP = 0 and CLP = 0+1 cell streams without the measurement phasing problem under any conditions. We analyzed the performance of the proposed UPC/NPC algorithm. Using a discrete time model for the UPC/NPC architecture with a discrete-time semi-Markov process (DSMP) input model, we obtained the cell discarding probabilities of CLP = 0 and CLP = 0+1 cells streams and showed that more CLP = 0 cells are accepted compared to what was proposed in ITU-T.
