  • Bimatrix games are the two-person non-zero-sum non-cooperative games. These games were studied by Mills, Lemke, Howson, Millham, Winkels, and others. This paper is a systematic and synthetic survey relevant to bimatrix games. Among the many aspects of researches on bimatrix games, emphasis in this paper is placed on the relation of the equilibrium set to Nash subsets. Topics discussed are as follows: Properties of equilibrium point; The structure of equilibrium set; Relation of Nash subsets to equilibrium set; Algorithm for finding the equilibrium points; Concepts of solutions on bimatrix games.

  • Recently, Oussalah 〔Fuzzy Sets and Systems 128(2002) 247-260〕 investigated some theoretical results about some invariance properties concerning the relationships between the defuzzification outcomes and the arithmetic of fuzzy numbers. But, in this note we introduce some explicit calculations of the resulting fuzzy set or possibility distribution when the matter is the determination of the defuzzified value pertaining to the result of some manipulation of fuzzy quantities under t-norm based fuzzy arithmetic operations.

  • The object of this study is to construct a model for an optimal allocation of short surface to air missile defending our targets most efficiently from hostile aircraft´s attack. For the purpose of this, we analyze and establish facility allocation concept of existing models, apply set covering theory appropriate to problem´s properties, present the process of calculating the probability of target being protected, apply Sherali-Kim´s branching variable selection strategy, and then construct the model. As constructed model apply the reducing problem with application, we confirm that we can apply the large scale, real problem.

  • Park et al. introduced the concept of generalized intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets, which can be seen as an effective mathematical tool to deal with uncertainties. In this paper, we introduce new operations such as restricted union and restricted intersection and study their basic properties, and deal with the algebraic structure of generalized intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets. The lattice structures of generalized intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets are constructed.

  • In the existing deterministic network, the capacity of each arc has been assumed to have a determined property. In reality it may have a property which cannot be determined, and even if it is determined, it contains many errors. Fuzzy theory is efficient in dealing with these kinds of properties. The object of this study is to show that the capacity of each arc and the goal quantity have fuzziness and to develop a new method of determining the fuzzy maximal flow quantity.

  • We introduce the notion of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy sets as the another generalization of interval-valued fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets and hence fuzzy sets. Also we introduce some operations over intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy sets. And we study some fundamental properties of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy sets and operations.

  • The lack of consideration for statistical properties in Taguchi's threelevel linear graphs is rectified. We propose a new set of linear graphs for the threelevel orthogonal arrays according to the maximum resolution criterion. In the presence of twofactor interactions however, the serious bias of all the estimated effects as well as the estimated variance shows that these designs should not be employed. The various alternative designs are discussed.

  • This paper is concerned with developing a Multi-period Behavioral Model for the portfolio selection problem. The unique feature of the model is that it treats a number of factors and decision variables considered germane in decision making on an interrelated basis. The formulated problem has the structure of a Chance Constrained programming Model. Then empoloying arguments of Central Limit Theorem and normality assumption the stochastic model is reduced to that of a Non-Linear Programming Model. Finally, a number of interesting properties for the reduced model are established.

  • The Purpose of this paper is to automate the representation of manufacturing line using Petri net model. In the manufacturing cell, the line can be represented using workflow which is composed of Bill of Material (BOM) and Bill of Processes (BOP). BOP shows the precedence of processes and the relationship between assembly and disassembly. As a modeling scheme, generalized stochastic Petri net is adopted. For a problem domain with flexible manufacturing cell, Petri net model is made and behavioral properties are analyzed.

  • Production lot sizing problem for a system with exponentially decaying inventory is considered. From the exact cost function developed under conditions of constant demand and no shortages permitted, an approximate optimal solution is derived. The formula is compared with those of the exact solution obtained from numerical procedure and other existing approximate solution. Finally some notable properties of the formula are investigated and shown to be consistent.
