  • We propose an algorithm for augmenting a real video sequence with views of graphics ojbects without metric calibration of the video camera by representing the motion of the video camera in projective space. We define a virtual camera, through which views of graphics objects are generated. attached to the real camera by specifying image locations of the world coordinate system of the virtual world. The virtual camera is decomposed into calibration and motion components in order to make full use of graphics tools. The projective motion of the real camera recovered from image matches has a function of transferring the virtual camera and makes the virtual camera move according to the motion of the real camera. The virtual camera also follows the change of the internal parameters of the real camera. This paper shows theoretical and experimental results of our application of non-metric vision to augmented reality.

  • With the rapid growth of the Internet, the Internet-based robot has been realized by connecting off-line robot to the Internet. However, because the Internet is often irregular and unreliable, the varying time delay in data transmission is a significant problem for the construction of the Internet-based robot system. Thus, this paper is concerned with the development of an Internet-based robot system, which is insensitive to the Internet time delay. For this purpose, the PPS (Position Prediction Simulator) is suggested and implemented on the system. The PPS consists of two parts : the robot position prediction part and the projective virtual scene part. In the robot position prediction part, the robot position is predicted for more accurate operation of the mobile robot, based on the time at which the user's command reaches the robot system. The projective virtual scene part shows the 3D visual information of a remote site, which is obtained through image processing and position prediction. For the verification of this proposed PPS, the robot was moved to follow the planned path under the various network traffic conditions. The simulation and experimental results showed that the path error of the robot motion could be reduced using the developed PPS.

  • This paper proposes a local path-planning algorithm that enables a mobile robot with vision sensor in a local area. The proposed method based on projective geometry and a wavefront method finds local-paths to avoid collisions using 3-D walls or obstacles map generated using projective geometry. Simulation results show the feasibility of the proposed method

  • Let X be a smooth projective threefold whose anticanonical division $-K_X$ is ample, i.e., Fano threefold. In this paper, we studied the linear system $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ for a positive integer n. In Theorem 4, we studied the cases that $\-nK_X$\mid$$ has no base-points and the cases that $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ generate the birational map. In Proposition 5, we studied the possible exceptional cases given in Theorem 4. Some results in this paper are already known, but we have gave brief proofs for those results.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple and efficient algorithm for head pose estimation using a single camera. First, four subimages are obtained from the camera image for face feature extraction. These subimages are used as feature templates. The templates are then tracked by Kalman filtering, and camera projective matrix is computed by the projective mapping between the templates and their coordinate in the 3D coordinate system. And the user's face pose is estimated from the projective mapping between the user's face and image plane. The accuracy and the robustness of our technique is verified on the experimental results of several real video sequences.

  • The motion recognition system has been broadly studied in digital image and video processing fields. Recently, method using th depth image is used very useful. However, recognition accuracy of depth image based method will be loss caused by size and shape of object distorted for angle of the depth sensor. Therefore, distortion correction of depth sensor is positively necessary for distinguished performance of the recognition system. In this paper, we propose a pre-processing algorithm to improve the motion recognition system. Depth data from depth sensor converted to real world, performed the corrected angle, and then inverse converted to projective world. The proposed system make progress using the OpenCV and the window program, and we test a system using the Kinect in real time. In addition, designed using Verilog-HDL and verified through the Zynq-7000 FPGA Board of Xilinx.

  • This paper addresses a method of enabling objects in an image to have apparent 3D motion. Many researchers have solved this issue by reconstructing 3D model from several images using image-based modeling techniques, or building a cube-modeled scene from camera calibration using vanishing points. This paper, however, presents the possibility of image-based motion without exact 3D information of scene geometry and camera calibration. The proposed system considers the image plane as a projective plane with respect to a view point and models a 2D frame of a projected 3D object using only lines and points. And a modeled frame refers to its vanishing points as local coordinates when it is transformed.

  • In this paper, we introduce and consider a new system of relaxed cocoercive variational inequalities involving three different operators and the concept of projective nonexpansive mapping. Base on the projection technique, we suggest two kinds of new iterative methods for the approximate solvability of this system. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the main results of [S.S. Chang, H.W.J. Lee, C.K. Chan, Generalized system for relaxed co coercive variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces, Appl. Math. Lett. 20 (2007) 329-334] and [Z. Huang, M. • We say (W, {${\phi}_1,\;{\ldots}\;,{\phi}_t$}) is a polarizable dynamical system of several morphisms if ${\phi}_i$ are endomorphisms on a projective variety W such that ${\otimes}{\phi}_i^*L$ is linearly equivalent to $L^{{\otimes}q}$ for some ample line bundle L on W and for some q > t. If q is a rational number, then we have the equidistribution of small points of given dynamical system because of Yuan's work [13]. As its application, we can build a polarizable dynamical system of an automorphism and its inverse on a K3 surface and can show that its periodic points are equidistributed.
