Recent changes in landscape architectural field, such as keen attention on central and local government, checks of other related fields, circumstances both inside and outside the construction industry, assume hostile attitude towards qualification system in landscape architecture. By securing the original function of qualification meets the environmental changes and accords to the technical development, practicality and serviceability of qualification as well as credit rating and professional status can be enforced. Framework redesign on landscape architecture National Technical Qualifications(NTQ) is required in order to meet the demand in the industrial fields and to reflect the technical changes. National Competency Standards(NCS) was selected as a precedent study to enhance the practicality and serviceability of NTQ as well as to avoid duplication on qualified requirements. It would provide a model to redesign the framework of landscape architecture NTQ. In this study, questions in NCS and in landscape architecture certification are compared and analyzed to review the suitability of the present landscape architecture certification items. In conclusion, the creation of master landscape architect under the present system, and the subdivision of the technician's license level to planting technician and the facility are recommended. The ability units to be qualified for each level, which would be used for future NTQ standards and university curriculums in relevant fields, are also suggested in this study.
This study analyzed the effects of TLO's organization size, expertise, and economic compensation on technology transfer performance using the panel data of Government-Funded Research Institutes in 2013-2016. First, the size of TLO personnel and budget have a positive effect on the technology transfer performance. However, in the case of TLO manpower, the statistical significance of the effect on the number of technology transfers was only 90%, and it did not affect royalty. Second, TLO expertise has a strong impact on technology transfer performance. It shows that the number of professional license holders, such as patent attorney or a technology valuer, has a statistically significant effect on the increase of the technology transfer number and the royalty under the 99% confidence level. However, unlike expected, the size of the Ph.D. did not seem to have any effect on technology transfer performance. Finally, the economic compensation for TLO does not affect both the number of technology transfers and the royalty. It does not seem to work as an appropriate incentive system, because the absolute size of the compensation is too small. The results of the above analysis suggest that it is important to secure expertise in order for the TLO organization to play a substantial role, and it is necessary to improve the economic compensation system to attract TLOs to technology transfer.
Hospitals in Korea have been increasingly using physician assistants (PA) as an alternative way of dealing with the shortage of residents. However, some incidents of a Physician's Assistant practicing beyond their legal scope require closer examination of the current PA's roles and functions. This study is a web-based survey designed towards targeting physician assistants in Korea (KPA) who practice delegated tasks under a physician's license. Currently, there are 2,125 KPAs working in 141 general hospitals and medical centers. Data from 704 nurses from who responded to the questionnaire were analyzed with descriptive statistics using the SPSS 12.0 program. Their mean age is 32.5 years with 8-10 years of clinical experiences, with males being more likely to be a PA. Despite of KPAs providing medical services and performing invasive procedures, only 13% of KPAs are licensed APNs (advanced practice nurse). KPAs have a low job satisfaction due to a lack of rewards and the necessity for providing illegal practices, and are experiencing identity confusion. The current KPA system is a transitional product of the change from the hierarchial structure to a more collaborative relationship between the medical and nursing departments. Providing adequate education and training, establishing protocols with legal protection, and developing professional independent scope of care are recommended to deliver safe and efficient medical services.
Purpose: This preliminary study is aimed at developing standardized tools for psycho-social assessment of patients in needs for hospice/palliative care. To accomplish the purpose, investigators examined effects of perceptions of social workers on the importance of psycho-social domains of assessment in hospice/palliative care settings. Moreover, investigators paid attention to variances of perceptions of social workers' along with types of institution and credentials of those family settings. Methods: A form of questionnaire was first explored from an initial interview assessment of 10 government-certified hospice care providers and a literature review, second constructed with eight domains and 80 items, and sent by e-mail to 55 institutions and hospitals providing hospice/palliative cares in Korea. Lastly, a total of 31 agencies returned with a completed responses and consent form (56% response rate). SPSS program (version 18.0) was used for data analysis. Results: Study found that social workers perceived patients' family background (m=4.53, 5-point scale) as the most important assessment domain, whereas economic conditions (4.06 point) the least important. Social workers' perception varied by credentials (i.e., license types, training, full-time position, types of care facility). Conclusion: Based upon study findings, investigators can conclude strong needs for developing a assessment tool that measures multiple domains (i.e., psychological, social and ecological aspects) of patients. A standardized assessment tool should be structured with 2 axis (center/core and expanded/peripheral) and tailored for institution type. Second, professional trainings must be provided by strengthening legal institutionalization and fostering qualified social workers with full responsibilities of hospice and palliative care patients.
The object of this study is to propose a study on the Private Investigator usage for Cyber Crime. The latest trend of cyber crime is being evolve in sophisticated and complex way over the global, like internet fraud, cyber gambling, hacking and etc. Hence national investigative authority mobilize high specialized skills and method of criminal investigation by each nation. But it is hard to respond in rapid and effective way because of propoor, distribution of group and insufficient of related legal system. Already in other countries, not considerable amount of services are given to private investigators in detection and tracking part which is inefficient by nation. So it has significantly meaningful to compensate the defect and study about private investigator usage as companion of cooperation policing for effectively respond to cyber-crime. The way to effectively deal with the cyber-crime is reevaluate meaning of partnership policing and need of private investigator usage. Also it is to analyze the main issue about introduction of a system and suggest the effective way of introduction. First, legislation of private investigator usage which is based upon partnership policing should be made up. Moreover, to establish the range of private investigator's business and enhance the reliability, it is to propose introduction of leading professional global certificate and license system with sufficient education and test. We are expecting introduction of private investigator usage can improve efficiency of investigation and promote effective countermeasures of cyber-crime.
This study attempts to examine the relationship between human resource management & financial resource management and service quality in social service organizations in Korea. This study utilizes '2012 Central Government Social Welfare Facilities Evaluation (CGSWFE)' data and employs multiple regression method to examine research model. The key findings of this study are as follows: (1) after controlling extraneous variables (organizational characteristics), among human resource management related variables, performance appraisal, fringe benefits, supervision, formal grievance procedure, the percentage of employees with certified professional license, and salary have statistically significant relationships with service quality in a positive direction; (2) among financial resource management related variables, the percentage of additional governmental funding beyond basic government subsidies, accounting management, and transparent use and management of donations have statistically significant relationships with service quality in a positive direction; and (3) human resource management related variables are stronger than financial resource management related variables in explaining service quality. The findings imply that more systematic human resource management and financial resource management would be very important in strengthening service quality in social service organizations. This study provides new knowledge foundation regarding the effect of human resource management and financial resource management on service quality in social service organizations.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the difference in perception of clinical nutrition service (CNS) between doctors and dietitians working in hospitals in Busan and the Gyeongnam area. Research was performed through questionnaires (from November to December 2011) at over 100 beds. 73.3% of dietitians were aware of the Nutrition Support Team (NST), while only 15.6% of doctors were aware of it. Due to heavy work and lack of medical staff, doctors didn't participate in NST, although most of them recognized the necessity of NST. 61.7% of dietitians screened and managed malnourished patients, whereas only 29.8% of doctors did. The main reason dietitians didn't treat malnourished patients was the absence of a treatment system in the hospital. Less than 50% of dietitians participated in the doctor's round to malnourished patients. As for why dietitians didn't participate in doctor's rounds, 71% of doctors chose understaffed dietitians and 38.1% of dietitians chose the doctors' unawareness of the importance of the dietitian in doctor's rounds. For the lower rate of nutrition counseling in provincial regions, compared to the capital region, 46.8% of doctors cited a lack of connection between doctors and clinical dietitians, while 43.3% of dietitians cited the lack of doctors' awareness on the importance of nutrition counseling. Although 87.3% of the doctors and 91.6% of the dietitians answered that CNS is important for treatment, the perception of onsite performance status on CNS was found to be low in both groups. 48.9% of doctors and 50.0% of dietitians regarded dietitians in the hospital as personnel in charge of food services, rather a member of the medical team. To improve the awareness of the importance of the CNS, and the image of clinical dietitians, 31.2% of doctors answered "to introduce a professional dietitian license for each disease" and 26.7% of dietitians answered "to change the system in the hospital". Most subjects found that a separation of clinical nutrition services from the food service part is needed. These results suggest that it is important to narrow the difference in perceptions of clinical nutrition services between doctors and dietitians for an organized clinical nutrition management of patients in hospitals in Busan and the Gyeongnam area.
The goal of this study was to analyze the degree of kindergarten teacher's understanding with respect to educational activities of social relationships area & art experience area in the Nuri-curriculum and to provide complementary materials and educational programs for enhancing kindergarten teacher's professional development. The tool for this study was a number of questionnaires on teacher's understanding in two area. The number of survey participants were 650 teachers and 78 preliminary teachers, 728 in total. Statistical analysis to this research responses was done by SPSS 23 at the significance level of .05, .01, .001 each. Research findings reached a conclusion of proposing differentiated complementary materials and educational programs based on the types of kindergarten, qualification of teachers and their demographics. That is, it should be adjusted to the differences in establishment-operation types of kindergarten, location/size/ages of class, careers/ages/license of teachers, and current-preliminary teacher's understanding. The educational activities of social relationships area should be focused on an attitude of valuing oneself and family by browsing and practicing what one can do for oneself and family. The educational activities of art experience area should be focused on integrated experience of artistic expression and appreciation activities by exploring musical, movement and artistic elements.

As open source can reduce costs and apply to various fields rapidly, many countries have actively adopted open source. However, geo-spatial open source in Korea is not actively promoted yet comparing to other countries having similar infra environments. In this study, we analyzed the perception of geo-spatial open source, utilization status, the development possibility and future direction using questionnaire survey completed by experts dealing with spatial information. The survey result shows that many experts have experiences of using geo-spatial open source but they got a lack of understanding about open source license or regulations and only a few people got professional training. Insufficient references, the difficulty of maintenance, lack of support and low technical reliability have hindered the adoption of geo-spatial open source. Only some part of geo-spatial open source software or libraries in some field have been used in the country. However, many researchers rate highly development potential and plan to use geo-spatial open source soon. If user's convenience, reference materials, technical trust and policy support are improved, open source field for spatial information will be developed greatly in the future.
The study analyzes the relationship between demand, satisfaction, and perception for non-face-to-face continuing medical education(CME) conducted in 2020 for 225 radiological technologist license holders working in the Busan area, and the factors that influence the positive perception of CME. T-test and one way ANOVA were used, and stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. As a result, there were high demands for mobile publicity, professional radiological technologist, educational expenses support from institution heads, and CME. Male radiological technologist, over 50 years of age, and the more experienced they had a job chance, the more they had a positive perception. In the correlation between variables, the perception of the education system and the need for education showed a positive correlation. The higher the satisfaction with the education system, the higher the perception of the need for education. About 53% of the content was satisfied. Therefore, in order to raise awareness of CME, it is considered that policy changes to the education system are necessary first of all. It is considered that the search for the development of education content and educational content is necessary above all.
