Purpose: The objective of this study is to provide a methodology that can facilitate efficient development of a product portfolio by utilizing Korean Standards(KS) networks. Methods: A case study on a steel manufacturing company is provided. Social network analysis h as been conducted on KS network and KS certification information of the company. Core test standards of a company have been identified. The core standards, then, used to construct a product-standard network of a corresponding industry. Results: As a result of analyzing product-standard networks, a product portfolio of a company has been developed. It has been shown that the candidate product portfolio is a cost-effective alternative in terms of standard maintenance cost. Conclusion: By using social network analysis, standards information can be used to support new product development process.

In this study, 543 samples of press hams, sausages, processed ground meat and processed cheese acquired from retail markets in Seoul and Gyeonggi province in Korea from 2005 to 2010 were monitored using a one-step multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method that involves the amplification of specific soya or maize endogenous genes and the amplification of 35S promoter (p35S) and nopaline synthase terminator (tNOS) for GMO detection. Among the 543 samples, 477 samples were amplified for maize and/or soybean endogenous genes. Although one sausage sample collected in 2008 showed amplification of tNOS, the result was assumed to be false positive based on the results from further tests of other sausage samples of the same brand. Our results demonstrate the absence of GM soya and/or maze of livestock products in the Korean market during 2005-2010. In addition, the one-step multiplex PCR using previously constructed primer sets appears to be useful as a screening method for the detection of GMOs in processed livestock products. However, more specific methods should be established and employed to detect the event-specific GM gene for positive reaction samples by screening tests in processed livestock products.

CALS is a strategy to share integrated product data through a set of standards to achieve efficiencies in business and operational mission areas. In this research, we first studied current status for CALS standard and then analyzed the case of US DoD. The results can be summarized as implementing for two major standard in defense CALS system. They are STEP and XML. Our recommendations can be used to set direction for CALS standard implementation and standard selection process.

제조물 책임은 자동차 산업에서 매우 중요한 규제 요소로 작용하고 있으며, 이에 대한 면책 수단으로 제정된 것이 ISO 26262 국제 표준이다. 자율주행자동차에서는 제조물 책임의 중요성이 더욱 높아지기 때문에 추가로 ISO/PAS 21448이 제정되었으나, 이 역시 주로 센싱 단계에만 적용이 가능하기 때문에 제조물 책임을 어느 정도 면책시킬 수 있으나 완전한 면책은 어렵다. 이에 따라 자율주행자동차의 상용화를 위해서는 완전한 면책수단으로서 새로운 국제 표준이 개발될 때까지 한시적으로 법체계의 개선이 반드시 필요하다.

The purpose of this study was to find purchase appraisal standard and post-purchase satisfaction for natural dyeing products. The data used for this study were collected from the women in their from 20's to 50's who are living in the regions of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam in Korea. The questionnaire of 537 copies was used for a statistical analysis. To analyze data, 2-test, t-test, Cronbach's a test, factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, regression analysis, etc. were carried out. A used statistical package was SPSS 14.0. The analysis results were as follows. The purchase appraisal standards for natural dyeing products were identified as practicality and reliability, suitability of use, symbolic property of status, design property, and convenience of buying. As the analysis result for purchase appraisal standard according to the demographic characteristics, the purchase appraisal standard according to most demographic characteristics showed significant difference. The factors of post-purchase satisfaction for natural dyeing products were verified as product modification and durability, design and price, hygienic property and product quality. As the analysis results of post-purchase satisfaction for natural dyeing products according to demographic characteristics, the post-purchase satisfaction according to demographic characteristics showed significant difference. The factors affecting post-purchase satisfaction were verified as product quality, kinds of item, color change, product lifespan, color change, etc. Consequently, because the purchase appraisal standard of natural dyeing product is very various, it is necessary to enhance post-purchase satisfaction of natural dyeing products by reflecting these factors in advance at the product development stage.

Korean defense specifications are the technical criteria of military products and major factor of acquisition system. Weapon systems and acquisition technique have been advanced dramatically after 1990's, but Korean defense specification practice standard has stayed after early 1980's except embedded software. The current status of current Korean defense specification practice standard and trend of related design and acquisition techniques like M&S, SBA, and digital manufacturing have been reviewed. This paper suggests that transfer to product, IT oriented specification structure, adaptation of digital product model and reinforcement of engineering management systems to establish a development initiative of Korean defense specification practice standard.

In medium and small firm, the management system which is simple and where there is a practicality is required Ill)re than the management system which is complicated and minute of the centered around large company so that the introduction of the standard costs can be activated and it can be usefully used as a tool of management decisions. A difference between the standard costs introduction plan proposed in this paper and the preexistance study literature are as follows. In this paper, by breaking from the whole cost accounting aiming at all item, that is the traditional introduction method, and presenting the product cost accounting method by group the standards setting object was minimized and simplified. In this way, if the standards setting object is simplified, it is quick at the perimeter environment change as the little man power and flexibly it corresponds to and the cost information calculation which is exact with the setting up and maintenance of the efficient cost standard becomes available. As a result of applying for real through S corp., the usability of the method that the standard costs introduction method proposed in this paper produced the standard costs relatively short within period, it manages was verified. And the standard costs introduction method proposed in this paper went by the various cost information for each products, the management class did the management will decision which was objective and reasonable in the putting first.

It is the greatest task to prescribe accurately and concretely consumer's needs of qualities into the product standards in an enterprise manufacturing and sailing products, From this point of view, Quality Function Deployment system is introduced to inguire into the establishing method of product standards closely Above all, the decision of quality characteristic in the product standards and the estblishing method of product standard are introduced to satisty in this repord. Applying to the product standards in Qulity Function Deployment system, frst it is systematically brought quality function to consumer's needs of qualities into the products. Second the method is concerned with quality function assurance applied in induction of product quality. Also it is available to establish method of product quality level in almost every company.

Product liability is becoming a real issue to exporters, manufacturers world wide. The purpose of this study is to examine the product liability of Korean exporters, manufacturers, etc. under Product Liability Laws and Regulations of China. For this purpose, firstly we deal with the Product Liability Laws and Regulations of China. Secondly we analyze the case study concerning the Product Liability in China. From the analysis of case study, Korean exporters, manufacturers, etc. are required to pay close attention to the following : the correspondence of English with Chinese in the warning phrases, the possibility of application of strict global standard in case of existence of product liability, the proper treatment of evidence in the process of litigation, the application of strict liability and the shift of responsibility for evidence on to a defendant, the observance of procedures prescribed by the country in design and manufacture of the product, the manufacture of product to come up to country standard in quality, the consideration of diverse expression in the preparation of warning sign, the importance of quality control and inspection system in case of local procurement of parts and raw materials, Finally, this paper contributes to help the Korean Exporters, Manufacturers, etc. to build up the proper countermeasures regarding product liability under the product liability regulations of China.
