전차용 엔진클러치 암플랜지 생산성 향상을 위한 연구 (Improvement in Productivity of Engine Clutch Female Flanges for Tank)

  • The tank engine clutch flange constitutes a tank on which the engine and transmission of the tank are mounted. The engine clutch flange is fabricated using a difficult-to-cut material that exhibits high strength and hardness. It is difficult to process and requires considerable processing expertise. In addition, the engine clutch flange for the tank requires high machining precision because it is a system in which the connection is detachable. Because it requires high processing precision, the measurement of products equally important as processing. However, productivity is low owing to the significant amount of time required to measure each product using a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine. Hence, this study is conducted to improve the productivity of the female tank engine clutch flange. Dedicated hobs and jigs are designed and manufactured to convert the existing end-mill cutting processing into hobbing cutting processing. An engine clutch for the tanks is manufactured using the manufactured dedicated hob and jig, and the shortening time is verified by measuring the processing time. In addition, a jig for inspection is designed and manufactured to measure the precision of the product. To verify the inspected product, the product precision is measured using a contact-type three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine and a surface roughness measuring instrument. The study confirmed that the productivity of the engine clutch flange product for tanks can be improved by simplifying the process, reducing the processing time, and simplifying product inspection.

  • This paper presents a low cost hardware message passing engine of enhanced atomic pipelined broadcast based on processing node status. In this algorithm, the previous atomic pipelined broadcast algorithm is modified to reduce the waiting time until next broadcast communication. For this, the processor change the transmission order of processing nodes based on the nodes' communication channel. Also, the hardware message passing engine architecture of the proposed algorithm is modified to be adopted to multi-core processor. The synthesized logic area of the proposed hardware message passing engine was reduced by about 16%, compared by the pre-existing hardware message passing engine.

  • 매년 RDFS 데이터는 대용량화 되어 가며, 빠른 질의를 위한 SPARQL 처리방식에 대한 변화가 필요하게 되었다. 이를 위해 대용량 분산 처리 프레임워크를 활용한 SPARQL의 질의 처리방식이 많이 연구되고 있다. 기존의 연구 중 대용량 분산 처리 프레임워크인 Hadoop(MapReduce) 기반 질의 엔진은 반복적인 작업으로 인한 잦은 I/O 발생으로 실시간 질의 처리가 불가능하며, 인메모리 기반 분산 질의 엔진 역시 낮은 단계의 언어 수준에서 분산 구조를 고려한 구현이 필요하기 때문에 질의 엔진 구축이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 인메모리 기반 분산 질의 처리 프레임워크인 SparkSQL을 활용하여 대용량 트리플 데이터에 대한 SPARQL 질의문 처리 속도를 향상시킬 수 있는 질의 처리 엔진 구축 방법을 제안한다. SparkSQL 은 Spark 기반의 고수준 분산 질의 엔진으로서 기존의 SQL문을 활용한 질의가 가능하다. 따라서 SPARQL 질의문을 처리하기 위해서는 Jena를 이용하여 Algebra Tree를 생성한 후 이를 Spark 시스템에 적용하기 위한 Spark Algebra Tree로 변환해야 한다. 그리고 이를 이용하여 SparkSQL 질의문을 생성하는 시스템을 구축하였다. 또한 Spark 인메모리 시스템에서 보다 효율적인 질의 처리를 위한 DataFrame기반의 트리플 Property 테이블 설계를 제안하고 SparkSQL 프레임워크에 활용하였다. 마지막으로 기존의 분산처리 프레임워크를 사용한 질의 엔진과 비교 평가를 통하여 연구의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • Tanks are key weapons of ground combat that are equipped with powerful weapons and have strong protective bodies. One tank component, the engine clutch flange, is located in the part of the tank where the engine and transmission are installed, and it is a key part of the power transfer and shutoff. The engine clutch flange transmits high power to secure the mobility of the tank; thus, it must have high strength and hardness. In addition, high durability and safety must be ensured because tank operations must exclude concerns about damage. In this study, an engine clutch female flange for tanks made of SNCM439 was developed. The 2D design used AutoCAD programs, and the 3D shape design used CATIA programs. The structural analysis was conducted using ANSYS. The mesh grid has a tetrahedron shape and is created by adding a mid-side node. After the mechanical properties and constraints of SNCM439 were entered, the changes in the safety factor, total deformation, and Von-Mises stress were identified according to the increase in torque. Prototype processing was performed to verify the engine clutch female flange for the tank. To determine the productivity of the product, the cutting processing time was measured when processing the prototypes. Based on the results of measuring the cutting processing time, it is concluded that research is needed to improve productivity because MCT slot cutting processing is time consuming.

CAN의 분산 선행대기 열 기법을 이용한 선박 엔진 모니터링 시스템 (Marine Engine State Monitoring System using DPQ in CAN Network)

  • This paper proposes a marine engine state monitoring system using a DPQ (Distributed Precedence Queue) mechanism which collects the state of bearings, temperature and pressure of engine through the CAN network. The CAN is developed by Bosch Corp. in the early 1980' for automobile network. The data from various sensors attached in the marine engine are converted to digital by the analog to digital converter and formatted to fit the CAN protocol at the CAN module. All the CAN modules are connected to the SPU (Signal Processing Unit) module for the efficient communication and processing. This design reduces the cost for wiring and improves the data transmission reliability by recognizing the sensor errors and data transmission errors. The DPQ mechanism is newly developed for the performance improvement of the marine engine system, which is demonstrated through the experiments.

  • 본 논문은 컴퓨터에 입력된 문자정보를 음성정보로 변환하기 위한 음성합성엔진에 관한 것이며, 특히 명료성의 향상을 위해 파형처리 음성합성방식을 이용한다. 음성합성엔진은 컴맨드 스트림의 제어에 따라 자연성의 향상을 위한 피치조절, 길이 및 에너지 등을 제어하며 음성합성단위로서 반음절을 사용한다. 엔진에서 사용 가능한 컴맨드를 프로그램하여 음성합성엔진에 입력함으로서 음성을 합성하는 빙식은 구문분석, 어휘분석 등의 하이레벨과 파형의 편집 가공 등의 로우레벨을 완전 분리하므로 시스템의 융통성과 확장성을 높인다. 또한 TTS시스템의 적용에 있어 각 모듈을 객체/컴포넌트(Object/Component)로 각 모듈이 상호 독립적으로 작동되도록 하여 쉽게 대체가 가능하다. 하이 레벨과 로우 레벨을 분리하는 소프트웨어 아키택처는 음성합성 연구에 있어 각각 여러 분야별로 독립적으로 연구수행이 가능하여 연구의 효율성을 높이며 여러 소프트웨어의 조합사용(Mix-and-Match)이 가능하여 확장성과 이식성을 향상시킨다.

엔진아나라이져의 개발 (The development of engine analyzer)

  • Engine analyzer is developed with the aids of personal computer, A/D converter, interfacing signal transducer and data processing computer programs. The objective of this development are that it should firstly be produced at the resonable low price compared with imported one taking advantage of using existing personal computer and printer, and it should also give good quality of performance. For the attainment of this objective, A/D converter should have been developed to meet the price limit of the equipment. The experiment is performed in a 4 cycle 4 cylinder gasoline engine by this analyzer, and all the information which are necessary for the combustion analysis can be obtained through the processing of the pressure data that are stored in the computer. These are pressure-volume curve, pressure-crank angle curve, the rate of pressure rise and heat release versus crank angle curve etc. With this developed experimental system of resonable price, it will be considered that more easy way of engine data pick-up and processing is possible.

  • The hot forming process of a CAM for vessel engine was designed by finite element (FE) simulation and experimental analysis. An aim of process design was to achieve the near-net shaped CAM forgings by hot forging process. Based on the compression test results of the low alloy steel, deformation processing map was generated using the superposition approach between the dynamic materials model (DMM) and flow stability and/or instability criteria. From the processing map, the initial heating temperature was determined as $1200^{\circ}C$. FE analysis was simulated to predict the formation of rolling defects and deformed shape with different forging designs. Optimum process design suggested in this work was made by comparing with the CAM for vessel engine manufactured by actual forging process.

Development of gear fault diagnosis architecture for combat aircraft engine

  • The gear drive of a combat aircraft engine is responsible for power transmission to the different accessories necessary for the engine's operation. Incorrect power transmission can occur due to the presence of failure modes in the gears like bending fatigue, pitting, adhesive wear, scuffing, abrasive wear and polished wear etc. Fault diagnosis of the gear drive is necessary to get an early indication of failure of the gears. The present research is to develop an algorithm using different vibration signal processing techniques on industrial vibration acquisition systems to establish gear fault diagnosis architecture. The signal processing techniques have been used to extract various feature vectors in the development of the fault diagnosis architecture. An open-source dataset of other gear fault conditions is used to validate the developed architecture. The results is a basis for development of artificial intelligence based expert systems for gear fault diagnosis of a combat aircraft engine.

Energy Efficient Processing Engine in LDPC Application with High-Speed Charge Recovery Logic

  • This paper presents a Processing Engine (PE) which is used in Low Density Parity Codec (LDPC) application with a novel charge-recovery logic called pseudo-NMOS boost logic (pNBL), to achieve high-speed and low power dissipation. pNBL is a high-overdriven and low area consuming charge recovery logic, which belongs to boost logic family. Proposed Processing Engine is used in LDPC circuit to reduce operating power dissipation and increase the processing speed. To demonstrate the performance of proposed PE, a test chip is designed and fabricated with 0.18 2m CMOS technology. Simulation results indicate that proposed PE with pNBL dissipates only 1 pJ/cycle when working at the frequency of 403 MHz, which is only 36% of PE with the conventional static CMOS gates. The measurement results show that the test chip can work as high as 609 MHz with the energy dissipation of 2.1 pJ/cycle.
