Recently, many general-purpose packages for fluid-structure interaction problems have been announced. However, they have a lot of limitations to model structures in the fluid-structure interaction problems reasonably. Utilizing general-purpose packages such as MSC/NASTRAN and SYSNOISE, in this paper, a method to slove the radiation scattering problems with some accuracy in the fluid-structure interaction problems was developed. Using a simple model, the results from the presented method here are compared with those from SYSNOISE. The result shows quite a good agreement between the two methods. The problems, which could not be solved by SYSNOISE, were tried to solve with the presented method and results were presented. It was proved that this method could be safely used to solve fluid-structure interaction problems.
The historical study reveals that our ancestors had maintained a system which could produce data on population and households. The main purposes of maintaing the system at that time were taxation and conscription. At the present time, however, there are three major data sources which produce the statistics on pop-ulation and households in Korea : Civil Registration System, Resident Registration System and Popula-tion Census. These three systems are found to have some problems. there are some inherent problems in the regis-tration systems, such as problems in its coverage, accuracies in contents and timeliness in reporting the vital events and publishing the results. The population census has also non- sampling erors, such as errors in coverage, respone and non-response. Apart from the above mentioned problems, there are also conflicting problems arised from having three data sources, We can find some overlapping problems and difficulties in comparative studies. In the future, these problems should be considered for the improvement of the quality of statistics on population and household.
This study investigated the behavior problems of children, both institutionalized and home-reared, depending on their sex, age, and entry to institution. The subjects included 621 children (274 institutionalized, 347 home-reared; 298 boys and 323 girls; 209 preschoolers, 223 first to third graders, 189 fourth to sixth). The data collected were analyzed with t-test, 3-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation. Children's emotionality had two sides: Positive (happiness) and negative (sadness, anger, and fear). Measures of behavior problems included internalization (anxiety, immaturity, withdrawal, physical symptom) and externalization (hyperactivity, aggression). The results of this study indicated that the institutionalized were higher in negative emotionality than their counterparts, whereas the home-reared higher in positive emotionality. The institutionalized children also had higher externalizing problems than the home-reared. Furthermore, children's negative emotionality was positively related to their internalizing and externalizing behavior problems, while their positive emotionality was negatively related to the internalizing behavior problems.
The subjects in this study of parenting attitudes, children's behavior problems and attention ability were 111 5-year-old children and their parents. Data was analyzed by mean, frequency, percent, three-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. Results showed that behavior problems and attention ability of children varied by the parenting attitude of mothers and fathers. Behavior problems of boys were higher than girls, and boys' attention abilities were lower than girls.' Interaction effects were found between parenting attitudes and gender in children's behavior problems and attention ability : fathers' autonomy correlated negatively with boys' behavior problems (r=-.47), task processing speed (r=-.37), and attention inconsistency (r=-.36). Children's behavioral problems correlated positively with attention inconsistency (r=.28).
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of work environment on health problems of nurses. Methods: The subjects of the study were 395 nurses who were wage workers among KWCS (Korean Working Conditions Survey) respondents in 2014. The work environments were measured by the KWCS questionnaire. Results: 48.5% of the 395 nurses had health problems. The prevalence of musculoskeletal diseases (34.7%) was the highest among all health problems. The ergonomic work environment was significantly related to musculoskeletal disorders, headache and eye strain, and fatigue. In addition, the increase in work-individual interface area was significantly related to fatigue. Conclusion: The work environment of nurses affects health problems. It is therefore important to develop strategies that improve the health problems of nurses by reducing ergonomic and psycho-social risk factors.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify predictors on drinking problems of university students. Methods: The participants were 359 students by convenience sampling in P city. Data were collected from October 15 to December 20, 2007 using drinking problems questionnaire, Global assessment of recent stress scale, CES-D and self-esteem scale. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were positive correlations between stress and drinking problems, between depression and drinking problems. Also, there were negative correlations between stress and self-esteem, between depression and self-esteem. In stepwise multiple regression analysis, the most powerful predictor of drinking problems was depression. Conclusion: The results suggest that effective management of depression and stress can be considered when developing a prevention program of drinking problems for university students.
We introduce a new iterative algorithm for equilibrium and fixed point problems of three hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings by the CQ hybrid method in Banach spaces, Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Convergence theorems of common elements for equilibrium problems and fixed point problems in Banach spaces, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics 225 (2009) 20-30], P. Wattanawitoon, Convergence theorems of a hybrid algorithm for equilibrium problems, Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems (2009), doi:10.1016/j.nahs.2009.02.006], W. Takahashi, K. Zembayashi [W. Takahashi, K. Zembayashi, Strong convergence theorem by a new hybrid method for equilibrium problems and relatively nonexpansive mappings, Fixed Point Theory Appl. In this paper, the tenth-order linear boundary value problems are solved using reproducing kernel method. The algorithm developed approximates the solutions, and their higher-order derivatives, of differential equations and it avoids the complexity provided by other numerical approaches. First a new reproducing kernel space is constructed to solve this class of tenth-order linear boundary value problems; then the approximate solutions of such problems are given in the form of series using the present method. Three examples compared with those considered by Siddiqi, Twizell and Akram [S.S. Siddiqi, E.H. Twizell, Spline solutions of linear tenth order boundary value problems, Int. J. Comput. Math. 68 (1998) 345-362; S.S.Siddiqi, G.Akram, Solutions of tenth-order boundary value problems using eleventh degree spline, Applied Mathematics and Computation 185 (1)(2007) 115-127] show that the method developed in this paper is more efficient.
The purpose of this was to investigate the relationship institutionalized childrens ego-identities and internal locus of control to behavior problems. The subjects were 119 5th and 6th graders(58 boys, 61 girls) who were institutionalized in Seoul. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) The institutionalized childrens internal locus of control and ego-identity were not significant difference in gender, reason for entering the institution and duration in he institution. The institutionalized childrens internal locus of control was significantly related to their ego-identity. The more internal locus of control, the higher ego-identity. 2) The institutionalized childrens behavior problems were not significant difference in gender and duration in the institution, but were significant difference reason for entering the institution. The children who were institutionalized by parents absence were more likely to have behavior problems than children by economic problem or marital conflict. The institutionalized childrens behavior problems were significantly related to their ego-identities and internal locus of control. The less internal locus of control, the more behavior problems, and the less ego-identities, the more behavior problems.

In this research, emergency vehicle dispatching problems faced with in the wake of massive natural disasters are considered. Here, the emergency vehicle dispatching problems can be regarded as a single machine stochastic scheduling problems, where the processing times are independently and identically distributed random variables, are considered. The objective of minimizing the expected number of tardy jobs, with distinct job due dates that are independently and arbitrarily distributed random variables, is dealt with. For these problems, optimal static-list policies can be found by solving corresponding assignment problems. However, for the special cases where due dates are exponentially distributed random variables, using a proposed dynamic programming approach is found to be relatively faster than solving the corresponding assignment problems. This so-called Pivot Dynamic Programming approach exploits necessary optimality conditions derived for ordering the jobs partially.
