인터넷 가전 제어를 위한 전력선 통신망 채널 특성 추정 기법에 관한 연구 (A systematic method of probing channel characteristics of home power line communication network applied to the Internet accessed control of home appliances)

  • This paper presents a systematic method of probing channel characteristics and communication reliabilities of home PLC (power line communication) network applied to the Internet accessed control of home appliances. The effects of the three performance deterioating factors, i.e., additive noise, channel attenuation, and intersymbol interference, can be systematically measured by applying the channel probing waveform in the frequency range from 100kHz to 450kHz. The agreement between the derived probability of bit error and the measured probability of bit error supports the validity of the proposed approach of probing home power line channel characteristics. The experimental results performed with the constructed test-bed applying the proposed channel probing method also support the feasibility of commercially deploying the PLC modem installed home appliances and their services for the Internet accessed home automation.

Probing of Surface Potential Using Atomic Force Microscopy

  • As decreasing device size, probing of nanoscale surface properties becomes more significant. In particular, nanoscale probing of surface potential has paid much attention for understanding various surface phenomena. In this article, we review different atomic force microscopy techniques, including electrostatic force microscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy, for measuring surface potential at the nanoscale. The review could provide fundamental information on the probing method of surface potential using atomic force microscopy.

  • This paper presents a systematic method of probing channel characteristics and communication reliabilities of home power line communication network applied to the Internet accessed control of home appliances. 공격 탐지 임계값을 고려한 비상태기반 방화벽 정책 추론 방법 (An Inference Method of Stateless Firewall Policy Considering Attack Detection Threshold)

  • 방화벽 정책 추론은 사전지식 없이 특정 네트워크로의 능동적 탐지기법을 이용한 응답 패킷 분석으로 방화벽 정책을 발견한다. 하지만, 외부에서 특정 네트워크로 추론 패킷을 어떻게 전송하는가에 따라 방화벽에 설정된 공격 탐지 임계값에 의해 네트워크 공격으로 탐지되기 때문에 무분별하게 패킷을 전송하는 방법은 유효하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 방화벽의 공격 탐지 임계값을 고려하여 네트워크 공격으로 탐지되지 않는 범위 내에서 추론 변수를 활용한 패킷 전송 알고리즘을 제안한다. 그리고 제안하는 알고리즘에의해 전송되는 패킷이 네트워크 공격으로 탐지되는가를 검증한다. 마지막으로 우리는 실제 방화벽 정책과 추론된 정책을 비교하여 제안된 알고리즘의 정확성을 검증한 결과를 제시한다.

연속시간 선형시스템에 대한 탐색화된 정책반복법 (Explorized Policy Iteration For Continuous-Time Linear Systems)

  • This paper addresses the problem that policy iteration (PI) for continuous-time (CT) systems requires explorations of the state space which is known as persistency of excitation in adaptive control community, and as a result, proposes a PI scheme explorized by an additional probing signal to solve the addressed problem. The proposed PI method efficiently finds in online fashion the related CT linear quadratic (LQ) optimal control without knowing the system matrix A, and guarantees the stability and convergence to the LQ optimal control, which is proven in this paper in the presence of the probing signal. A design method for the probing signal is also presented to balance the exploration of the state space and the control performance. Finally, several simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed explorized PI method.

Probing Sentence Embeddings in L2 Learners' LSTM Neural Language Models Using Adaptation Learning

  • Prasad et al.는 사전학습(pre-trained)한 신경망 L1 글로다바(Gulordava) 언어모델을 여러 유형의 영어 관계절과 등위절 문장들로 적응 학습(adaptation learning)시켜 문장 간 유사성(sentence similarity)을 평가할 수 있는 통사 프라이밍(syntactic priming)-기반 프로빙 방법((probing method)을 제안했다. 본 논문에서는 한국인 영어학습자가 배우는 영어 자료를 바탕으로 훈련된 L2 LSTM 신경망 언어 모델의 영어 관계절 혹은 등위절 구조의 문장들에 대한 임베딩 표현 방식을 평가하기 위하여 프로빙 방법을 적용한다. 프로빙 실험은 사전 학습한 LSTM 언어 모델을 기반으로 추가로 적응 학습을 시킨 LSTM 언어 모델을 사용하여 문장 임베딩 벡터 표현의 통사적 속성을 추적한다. 이 프로빙 실험을 위한 데이터셋은 문장의 통사 구조를 생성하는 템플릿을 사용하여 자동으로 구축했다. 특히, 프로빙 과제별 문장의 통사적 속성을 분류하기 위해 통사 프라이밍을 이용한 언어 모델의 적응 효과(adaptation effect)를 측정했다. 영어 문장에 대한 언어 모델의 적응 효과와 통사적 속성 관계를 복합적으로 통계분석하기 위해 선형 혼합효과 모형(linear mixed-effects model) 분석을 수행했다. 제안한 L2 LSTM 언어 모델이 베이스라인 L1 글로다바 언어 모델과 비교했을 때, 프로빙 과제별 동일한 양상을 공유함을 확인했다. 또한 L2 LSTM 언어 모델은 다양한 관계절 혹은 등위절이 있는 문장들을 임베딩 표현할 때 관계절 혹은 등위절 세부 유형별로 통사적 속성에 따라 계층 구조로 구분하고 있음을 확인했다.

반도체 프로브 공정에서의 2단계 계층적 생산 계획 방법 연구 (Two-Level Hierarchical Production Planning for a Semiconductor Probing Facility)

  • We consider a wafer lot transfer/release planning problem from semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities to probing facilities with the objective of minimizing the deviation of workload and total tardiness of customers' orders. Due to the complexity of the considered problem, we propose a two-level hierarchical production planning method for the lot transfer problem between two parallel facilities to obtain an executable production plan and schedule. In the higher level, the solution for the reduced mathematical model with Lagrangian relaxation method can be regarded as a coarse good lot transfer/release plan with daily time bucket, and discrete-event simulation is performed to obtain detailed lot processing schedules at the machines with a priority-rule-based scheduling method and the lot transfer/release plan is evaluated in the lower level. To evaluate the performance of the suggested planning method, we provide computational tests on the problems obtained from a set of real data and additional test scenarios in which the several levels of variations are added in the customers' demands. Results of computational tests showed that the proposed lot transfer/planning architecture generates executable plans within acceptable computational time in the real factories and the total tardiness of orders can be reduced more effectively by using more sophisticated lot transfer methods, such as considering the due date and ready times of lots associated the same order with the mathematical formulation. The proposed method may be implemented for the problem of job assignment in back-end process such as the assignment of chips to be tested from assembly facilities to final test facilities. Also, the proposed method can be improved by considering the sequence dependent setup in the probing facilities.

기지국 배열안테나의 근역장 프로빙 방법의 개발 (The Development of Near-field Probing Method on the Base Station Array Antenna)

  • 기지국 배열안테나의 근역장 프로빙을 통해 원역장 성능을 평가하기 위해 반사판을 갖는 다이폴 배열 안테나와 프로브 사이 높이에 따른 상호 간의 영향을 분석하였다. 기본 개념은 기지국 배열 안테나의 입력단들과 프로브의 입력 port P 에 대한 근역장에서의 상호 높이를 변화시키며 S 파라미터 측정값을 분석하여 상호결합 효과가 가장 적으면서 프로빙 효율이 높은 위치를 결정하는 것이다. 그리고 여기서 얻어진 높이는 기지국 배열안테나의 정밀한 원역장 성능을 구하기 위한 근역장 프로빙 시스템 설계에 적용 가능할 것이다.
