잔여 유효 수명 예측 모형과 최소 수리 블록 교체 모형에 기반한 비용 최적 예방 정비 방법 (Cost-optimal Preventive Maintenance based on Remaining Useful Life Prediction and Minimum-repair Block Replacement Models)

  • Predicting remaining useful life (RUL) becomes significant to implement prognostics and health management of industrial systems. The relevant studies have contributed to creating RUL prediction models and validating their acceptable performance; however, they are confined to drive reasonable preventive maintenance strategies derived from and connected with such predictive models. This paper proposes a data-driven preventive maintenance method that predicts RUL of industrial systems and determines the optimal replacement time intervals to lead to cost minimization in preventive maintenance. The proposed method comprises: (1) generating RUL prediction models through learning historical process data by using machine learning techniques including random forest and extreme gradient boosting, and (2) applying the system failure time derived from the RUL prediction models to the Weibull distribution-based minimum-repair block replacement model for finding the cost-optimal block replacement time. The paper includes a case study to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method using an open dataset, wherein sensor data are generated and recorded from turbofan engine systems.

  • This study was performed to apply the preventive management technique that is known for more economic and preventive for disaster than corrective technique to Repair & Improvement(R&I) Project policy of irrigational facilities. The appropriate periods of R&I Project had been driven to 40yrs, 24yrs, 27yrs, and 29yrs for reservoir, Pumping and drainage pumping station, Diversion weir and Irrigation & drainage canal respectively. The cost of R&I Project for 10 years had been estimated as 616.9 billion won per year including the 85 billion won for the project of 'Disaster prevention and Function continuity'. After the period of 'Improvement all at once', about 30yrs, 421.8 billion won was requested for 'Function continuity'.

The ($\textsc{k}, t_p$) Replacement Policy for the System subject to Two Types of Failure

  • In this paper, we consider a new preventive replacement policy for the system which deteriorates while it is in operation with an increasing failure rate. The system is subject to two types of failure. A type 1 failure is repairable while a type 2 failure is not repairable. In the new policy, a system is replaced at the age of $t_p$ or at the instant the$\textsc{k}^{th}$ type 1 failure occurs, whichever comes first. However, if a type 2 failure occurs before a preventive replacement is performed, a failure replacement should be made. We assume that a type 1 failure can be rectified with a minimal repair. We also assume that a replacement takes a non-negligible amount of time while a minimal repair takes a negligible amount of time. Under a cost structure which includes a preventive replacement cost, a failure replacement cost and a minimal repair cost, we develop a model to find the optimal ($\textsc{k},t_p$) policy which minimizes the expected cost per unit time in the long run while satisfying a system availability constraint.

  • This paper introduces models for preventive maintenance policies and considers periodic preventive maintenance policy with minimal repair when the failure of system occurs. It is assumed that minimal repairs do not change the failure rate of the system. The failure rate under prevention maintenance received an effect by a previously prevention maintenance and the slope of failure rate increases the model where it considered. Also the start point of failure rate under prevention maintenance considers the degradation of system and that it increases quotient, it assumed. Per unit time it bought an expectation cost from under this prevention maintenance policy. We obtain the optimal periodic time and the number for the periodic preventive maintenance by using Nakagawa's Algorithm, which minimizes the expected cost per unit time.

  • 본 논문에서는 시스템 연령(年齡)에 의해 보전 활동의 효과를 설명하는 일반 수리(修理) 개념을 이용한 최적 보전(保全) 정책에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 주기적인 일반 수리와 고장 시 최소 수리가 적용되는 최적 보전 정책을 고려하였다. 따라서 일반 수리에 따른 보전 정책의 비용 함수를 도출하였고 최적 보전 정책을 도출하는 알고리즘을 제시하였고 예제를 통해 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 시스템을 운영하는데 있어서 어느 수준의 보전 정책을 적용하며 어느 정도의 기간 동안 시스템을 유지할 것인지에 대안을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Estimation Problems of parameters of the failure process and the repair effect in repairable systems are considered. We propose estimation procedures in repairable systems without preventive maintenances. The failure process is modeled by a proportional age reduction model (Brown, Mahoney, Sivazlian [5]) which is able to consider both aging and repair effects. Maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the repair effect and parameters of intensity function simultaneously. simulations are performed to evaluate the accuracy of estimators. A numerical example is also presented.

연장된 보증을 갖는 예방보전모형 (Preventive maintenance model with extended warranty)

  • 최근에 기본 보증이 종료된 이후에 주어지는 시스템의 연장된 보증에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자 측면에서 최소수리보증이 있는 연장된 보증이 종료된 이후의 예방보전모형을 제안하였다. 이 때, 기본 보증과 연장된 보증 하에서 고장이 발생된 시스템에는 판매자에 의해서 무료로 최소수리가 이루어진다. 이러한 제안된 예방보전모형에 대하여 기대순환길이, 총기대비용 그리고 단위시간당 기대비용을 유도하였다. 또한, 유도된 단위시간당 기대비용을 최소화 하는 최적의 예방보전 주기와 예방보전 횟수를 결정하였다. 끝으로 시스템의 고장시간이 와이블 분포를 따를 때 수치적 예를 통하여 이를 설명하였다.

  • Past treatment of the single machine maintenance problem has shown that preventive maintenance may be desirable for equipment for which failures are caused at least partially by wear-out factors. In all previous treatment, however, the size of the maintenance-repair crew has been held constant and the optimal maintenance period has then been determined. This paper suggests a simultaneous solution for the maintenance-repair crew size and the optimal maintenance period. The optimal maintenance period is seen to shift as the size of the maintenance-repair crew varies.

  • As a building is getting large-scale, composition and intelligence, it is required the stability of building electrical facilities. And it is very difficult of rapidly repair on a breakdown of building electrical facilities. Therefore high-reliability and efficiency of building safety is required. And thus, this study presents the repair-maintenance support program for preventive maintenance on a builing electrical facilities. This program makes offer some functions, facilities history input mode, checking and result mode. User can be made offer the cause and effect information of facilities-faults by this preventive maintenance program.
