  • In this study, study, about Automatic Loader and Unloader system which can directly be used for material handing and tool operating is moving linear transfer system for mainly forming of small electronic unit and other at press line. This system for been installed in a press in order to load and unload a workpiece from a press die. Control method be used Programmable logic control(PLC) unit. other Control equipment of system is Motor drive, Positioning Control and so on. It took data of input from each sensor and send signal of output to actuator by sequence program. We try to Characteristics test of this system has good condition when operating by laser measurement

  • In this paper, a synchronization control technique of dual-servo motor driven press system is proposed. An independent cascade PID control technique has been applied to the conventional press system for advancement of control stability. However, it is not easy to reduce synchronous error using the independent cascade PID control technique when some different load disturbances are involved in each motor. The eccentric error of the slide caused by the problem degrade the control performance of the BDC(Bottom Dead Center). In order to achieve reduction of the synchronous error between two servo motors and accurate position control simultaneously, a new control scheme comprised with cascade PID control loop and cross-coupling loop is proposed. In simulation using Matlab SIMULINK, the AC servo system is designed. The control performance of proposed technique is compared with conventional control technique to the model of AC servo system. Also, the sub-scale model of dual-servo motor driven press system which can replicate the slide motion is constructed for experimental verification for the performance of the proposed control technique. The cross-coupling control technique reveals more precise and stable performances in the position and synchronization controls.

Development of a Small Radiant Sequential Production System for Aspheric Lens (소형 복사방식 순차제조 비구면 렌즈 제조시스템 개발)

  • The fabrication method of aspheric lens is changed from machining to press molding so as to improve the productivity. In the case of the press molding method, the temperature control of the molding die is most impotent, because the temperature of each molding die determines the quality of lens. But any practical method for direct measuring of the lens temperature and the die internal temperature is yet unknown. Besides, in the case of the press molding system in which the heating and pressing and cooing of a die is done at one work station, the cycle time for the system is yet too long. The paper shows an improved structure of radiant sequential system in which the heating and pressing and cooing of dies is done at individual work station so as to cut down the cycle time. To know the die internal temperature, numerical results are given using ANSYS. An experimental radiant sequential system is developed and tested. Finally, the Taguchi method is applied in order to optimize the setting conditions of individual work station.

  • A tryout is one of the most important process in development and production of dies. For automotive press dies, it takes 3 to 4 months during the vehicle development process. Moreover, useful information and knowledge from tryout process is very important to design and production planning of dies. In this paper, we developed a new supporting system for making and managing tryout reports of an automotive press die. The CBDTS(Case-Based reasoning for Die Tryout report System) was developed and applied using case-based reasoning method in order to reduce time and manage knowledge of tryout. It consists of "Class Retrieval Wizard", "Case Cleansing Module", and "Case Viewer." Also, this CBDTS could be a channel to integrate field information with enterprise-wide information management systems as well. The CBDTS was applied to a Korean automotive press die shop, and the results were very satisfied in both quantitative and qualitative manners.

  • In Condebelt press drying system, the temperature difference between top and bottom plate of Condebelt transfers water to bottom side, Fine fibers, stickies , ink , and various inorganic materials are also migrated to the fine wire located at the bottom plate by highly pressurized moisture flow. As a result, the fine wire contaminated by plugging of these fine and sticky materials can cause many problems such as blistering or partial crushing of paper. The contaimination of fine wire leads to a deterioroated strength together with uneven physical properties of paper. In this paper, froth-flotatiion method, which is commonly used in the field of ONP recycling process, were adopted to separate the contaminants in KOCC as a new fiber fractionation method. Standard deviation of paper strength and brighteness decreased of Condebelt fine wire were measured to investigate the effect of contaminants removal . The standard deviations of paper strength obtained from the flotated accept were not dependent on the number of condebelt press drying . However, in the case of untreated KOCC, the standard deviations were increased as press drying repeated. This indicates that the contaminant gives uneven physical properties to the paper by wire plugging . Optical and SEM images clearly illustrate the effect of contaminants on the wire condition.

  • A automatic component inserting system for industrial PCB is developed in this paper. This system has not been developed in Korea. Most domestic companies produce PCB manually. This process requires highly-skilled staff. Therefor, we developed a PCB inserting system for automation of the process and improved productivity. There are low parts in this system; press, table, tool change and control part. A hybrid press cylinder with pneumatic and hydraulic is used in the press part. The table part consists of pneumatic actuators, stepping motors and ball-screw mechanism. In the tool change part, upper tools can be exchanged automatically for the inserting of various components. The control part consists of motor drivers, PLCs and power supply.

  • This paper presents an automatic conversion of machining data from the orthographic views of press mold by feature recognition rule. The system includes following 6 modules : separation of views, function support, dimension text recognition, feature recognition, dimension text check and feature processing modules. The characteristic of this system is that with minimum user intervention, it recognizes basic features such as holes, slots, pockets and clamping parts and thus automatically converts CAD drawing details of press mold into machining data using 2D CAD system instead of using an expensive 3D Modeler. The system is developed by using IBM-PC in the environment of AutoCAD R12, AutoLISP and MetaWare High C. Performance of the system is verified as a good interfacing of CAD and CAM when applied to a lot of sample drawings.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a CAD/CAM system for generation of designing and manufacturing information such as total drawing sub-assembly drawing, part drawing detail drawing part list and NC data for machining by CNC lathe were CUT machining center. Through this study the CAD/CAM system for deep drawing transfer die in mechanical press process has been developed The developed CAD system can generate the drawings of transfer die in mechanical press. Using these results from CAD system. it can generate NC data to machine die's elements on the CAD system. This system can reduce design man-hours and human errors. In order to construct the system it is used to automate the design process using knowledge base system. The developed system is based on the knowledge base system which is involved a lot of expert's empirical knowhow in the practice field. Using AutoLISp language under the Auto CAD system. CTK customer language of SmartCAM is used as the overall CAD/CAM environment. Results of this system will be provide effective aids to the designer and manufacturer in this field

  • An expert system DESPRESS is developed to diagnose the fault of press by using CBR technique. In this paper, we describes the subjects for development of the system. DESPRESS deals compositly with perceptive symptoms, functional abnormalities, lamp signals and gage values, and then outputs fault parts and fault status for the press. The expert system can be used to prevent occurance of unexpected fault and minimize break times for failures.
