  • We validated the performance of RELAP MOD3.3 code regarding the hybrid SIT with available experimental data. The concept of the hybrid SIT is to connect the pressurizer to SIT to utilize the water inside SIT in the case of SBO or SB-LOCA combined with TLOFW. We investigated how well RELAP5 code predicts the physical phenomena in terms of the equilibrium time, stratification, condensation against Separate Effect Test (SET) data. We also conducted the validation of RELAP5 code against Integrated Effect Test (IET) experimental data produced by the ATLAS facility. We followed conventional approach for code validation of IET data, which are pre-test and post-test calculation. RELAP5 code shows substantial difference with changing number of nodes. The increase of the number of nodes tends to reduce the condensation rate at the interface between liquid and vapor inside the hybrid SIT. The environmental heat loss also contributes to the large discrepancy between the simulation results of RELAP5 and the experimental data.

  • Purpose: This research is to understand the effects of senior simulation on employees of elderly care facilities and utilize it in their job training. Methods: This research is a nonequivalence control group pre-to-post quasiexperiment research. 18 employees who have experienced senior simulation are set as test group and 18 other employees who have not experienced senior simulation are set as control group. Results: The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in their attitude on elderly care, compared to the control group' and 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in understanding of elders, compared to the control group' was supported. The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in job satisfaction and performance of duties, compared to the control group' was dismissed. Conclusion: The senior simulation seems to contribute to elderly care facilities employees' change in their viewpoints of elders and broaden their understanding of them. The senior simulation was meaningful to provide basic help with implementing job training programs.

  • In this research, we tried to develop the application method to water management and treatment using toxicity test method. When we measure the toxicity of environmental samples, we have to decide whether we take some countermeasures to reduce the toxicity or not. The first issue is how to set these action levels in each bioassays. A new idea was attempted to authorize indirect approach of each bioassays through the response characteristics against mixture of chemicals in water quality standard. The significant response in the cell-growth-inhibition bioassay was detected for standards-mixture(STDs). For acute toxicity assay, STDs-based implicit correlation between risks to humans and bioassay data showed a rational approach to set action levels in practical management. A simple model was proposed to describe and predict the changes in the total toxicity based on the concentrations of toxic-controlling chemicals during the ozonation of landfill leachates. On the basis of this simple model, toxicity reduction was predicted for pre-aggregation treatment before ozonation and ozone concentration during the ozonation. The method proposed in this study would be useful in optimizing water treatment processes and their running conditions in terms of the toxicity reduction efficacy.

  • It has been found that an attacker can extract the secret key embedded in a security device and recover the operation instruction using power consumption traces which are some kind of side channel information. Many profiling-based side channel attacks based on a deep learning model such as MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron) method are recently researched. In this paper, we implemented a disassembler for operation instruction set used in the micro-controller AVR XMEGA128-D4. After measuring the template traces on each instruction, we automatically made the pre-processing process and classified the operation instruction set using a deep learning model CNN. As an experimental result, we showed that all instructions are classified with 87.5% accuracy and some core instructions used frequently in device operation are with 99.6% respectively.

  • This paper presents improvement of consumer's access and convenience to Farmers Market(Local Food Shop). We analyzed case studies and proposed plans of Local Food Shop and related facilities. The results are described below. Thorough pre-education and public relations with extensive support for agricultural products in the area and external support are necessary. Most importantly, the consuming population was close. These factors were the factors of success. Tourists' visit is effective. Consumer distance should be within 10km. Long distance tourists need a way to attract tourists on weekends. It is an advantage that there are many consumers. And it would be nice to have a market in the vicinity. And it is necessary to develop various activities such as experience activities and programs. Also, a place convenient for cooperation with the government office, public health center, etc. is good. Accessibility is enhanced when ICs of frequent highway and highway are close to cars. As a suggestion of placing a direct sales place, we will set up a place for consumers to collaborate and relax and also consider the convenience of providers. For the convenience of consumers' shopping, including sales outlets, we set up booths for daily necessities and industrial products, and place other agricultural cooperatives (NACF banks), local cafes and farmer restaurants in front. Consider multifunction combined service center for consumers and farmers.

  • The huge test data volume, test time and power consumption are major problems in system-on-a-chip testing. To tackle those problems, we propose a new test data compression technique. Initially, don't-cares in a pre-computed test cube set are assigned to reduce the test power consumption, and then, the fully specified low-power test data is transformed to improve compression efficiency by neighboring bit-wise exclusive-or (NB-XOR) scheme. Finally, the transformed test set is compressed to reduce both the test equipment storage requirements and test application time.

  • In future telecommunications systems, behaviour will be defined by inexperienced users for many different purposes, often by specifying requirements in the form of policies. The call processing language (CPL) was developed by the IETF in order to make it possible to define telephony policies in an Internet telephony environment. However, user-defined policies can hide inconsistencies or feature interactions. In this paper, a method and a tool are proposed to flag inconsistencies in a set of policies and to assist the user in correcting them. These policies can be defined by the user in a user-friendly language or derived automatically from a CPL script. The approach builds on a pre-existing logic programming tool that is able to identify inconsistencies in feature definitions. Our new tool is capable of explaining in user-oriented terminology the inconsistencies flagged, to suggest possible solutions, and to implement the chosen solution. It is sensitive to the types of features and interactions that will be created by naive users. This tool is also capable of assembling a set of individual policies specified in a user-friendly manner into a single CPL script in an appropriate priority order for execution by telecommunication systems.

  • IAn important problem of pattern recognition is to extract or select feature set, which is included in the pre-processing stage. In order to extract feature set, Principal component analysis has been usually used and SFS(Sequential Forward Selection) and SBS(Sequential Backward Selection) have been used as a feature selection method. This paper applies genetic algorithm which is a popular method for nonlinear optimization problem to the feature selection problem. So, we call it Genetic Algorithm Feature Selection(GAFS) and this algorithm is compared to other methods in the performance aspect.

  • In the gear manufacturing, tooth modification is usually applied for the prevention of tooth impact during the loading. In contrary, tooth profile error causes amplifying the whine noise which is cumbersome to reduce in the automobile gear box. So optimum quantity of the modifications must be obtained for the good performance in the vibrational sense. In this paper, a formulation to define the tooth curve by considering the profile manufacturing error and loading deformation of the gear tooth is suggested and the transmission error and loading deformation of the gear tooth is suggested and the transmission error with modified tooth in the gear system is evaluated. A pair of gear set is mathematically modelled. The equivalent excitation in the gear vibratonal model is formulated. For the experimental evaluaton on the derived transmission error function, a simple geared system is set up in which the gears are designed to give pre-designed tooth profile modification and manufactured by CNC Wire Cutting Machine. Under slow speed operaton, the transmission error of the gear pair is measured by using two rotational laser vibrometers, compared with the calculated one of which the result shows good agreement.

  • The purpose of this research is to utilizing the Tetrax$^{(R)}$ balance measuring instrument in order to analyze the postural balance of males and females in their 30 s diagnosed with chronic lower back pain who have followed a 12-week rehabilitation exercise program. The research also examines the effects on any change in back pain level. In terms of the variables in this research, postural balance (left/right, front/back, postural balance) and pain level change (0~100 mm) were measured. Pre-/post-experimental differences were assessed using the paired-t test. In addition, to identify any gender gap, we set the preliminary scores as a covariate and ran the Analysis of Covariance. Statistical significance (a) herein was set at 0.05. As a result of this research experiment, the left/right, front/back, and overall postural balance were found to increase in both the male and female cases, but with no statistical significance or gender gap. However, both males and females showed a significant decrease in their back pain levels. These findings demonstrate the necessity of continuing clinical research based on the Tetrax$^{(R)}$ equipment for scientific evaluation of the effects of rehabilitation exercises on chronic lower back pain patients and their balancing ability.
