This article concerns a ring property which is seated between IFP and IPFP rings. We study the insertion property of nonzero powers at zero products, introducing the concept of strongly IPFP ring. The structure of strongly IPFP rings is investigated in relation with nearly seated ring properties and ring extensions.

In this paper we construct q-Genocchi numbers and polynomials. By using these numbers and polynomials, we investigate the q-analogue of alternating sums of powers of consecutive integers due to Euler.

This paper proposed the p-q-r coordinate system where the instantaneous active power p, and the two instantaneous reactive powers $q_{q}$, $q_{r}$ were defined. The three power components are linearly independent, so the compensation for the two instantaneous reactive powers leads to control the two components of the current space vector. With the theory, the neutral current of a three-phase four-wire system can be eliminated by only compensating the instantaneous reactive power using no energy storage element.

Let $C_n$ be the cycle graph of order n on the vertices $v_0,v_1,{\ldots},v_n$ and $C^k_n$ be the k-th power of $C_n$. In this article we determine the hull-number of $C^k_n$.

We study the structure of a generalization of right nilpotent-duo rings in relation with powers of elements. Such a ring property is said to be weakly right nilpotent-duo. We find connections between weakly right nilpotent-duo and weakly right duo rings, in several algebraic situations which have roles in ring theory. We also observe properties of weakly right nilpotent-duo rings in relation with their subrings and extensions.

Some tests of the goodness of fit of the uniform distribution between 0 and 1 are presented. The powers of the tests under certain alternatives are examined. As a result, the statistic based on the difference between the order statistics and the modal value of them gives good powers. We also give modifications of the statistic without using the extensive tables of the critical points.

In Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access(DS/CDMA) communication systems, it is important to contraol the power of reverse link channel evenly for overall channel capacity. To control the reverse link powers efficiently, it is necessary to estimate signal quality of each reverse link channel. In this paper, we discuss a method to estimate the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) for each channel by measuring the powers of pilot and noises. Computer simulations are done to show the effectiveness of the scheme.
