We noted a property of a stationary distribution on the matrix C, which is the covariance matrix of order statistics of standard normal distribution That is the sup norm of th powers of C is ee' divided by its dimension. The matrix C can be taken as a transition probability matrix in an acyclic Markov chain.

Consider a class of rank tests for comparing several treatments with a control and discuss some members among the class. New rank test based on orthogonal contrasts is proposed and compared with other well known tests. The approximate powers of the proposed test are also presented through the simulation studies.

Tests associated with the linear signed rank statistics are considered for testing the symmetry of a continuous distribution about an unknown median. The results of Monte Carlo study show that the proposed tests are reasonably good in level control and powers.

Recently, Gireesh, Shivashankar, and Naika [11] found some infinite classes of congruences for the 3- and the 9-regular cubic partitions modulo powers of 3. We extend their study to all the 3^k-regular cubic partitions. We also find new families of congruences.

본 논문에서는 계수가 2의 누승으로 표현되는 프로그램 가능한 FIR 필터 (2PFIR 필터)를 구현할 때 유용한 성질을 구했다. 특히 2PFIR 필터의 계수가 갖는 2의 수능 값이 M ternary의 canonical signed digit (CSD) 코드로 표현되면 ternary 값을 M개보다 적은 {0, 1, 2, $\cdots$, M-1}의 부분집합에서 선택해도 같은 결과가 얻어진다는 사실을 보였다. 따라서 프로그램 가능한 2PFIR 필터의 쉬프터 길이가 M보다 작아지므로 훨씬 효율적으로 구현할 수 있다. 또한 본 논문에서는 몇 가지 실험 결과를 통해 2PFIR 필터의 쉬프터 길이를 추가적으로 감축할 수 있음을 보였다.

Reducing fishing capacity is one of current issues in the international fisheries. This is because that increased fishing capacity has caused not only fish stocks to be depleted, but also additional fishing costs to be incurred, which resulted in reduction of economically viability of fisheries. For this reason, FAO adopted the International Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity' in 1999 and recommended member countries to estimate fishing capacity and to implement the policy to reduce fishing capacity. This study is aimed to measure fishing capacity of the Large Purse Seines Fishery that is one of offshore fisheries in Korea using both Peak - to - Peak Analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis in order to provide a policy information for preparation of domestic plan of action for the management of fishing capacity. The results of PTP Analysis were almost similar to those of DEA Analysis. The DEA results showed that the capacity utilization in 2004 was about 75%, it was obvious the capacity did not utilize enough. The sensitivity analysis on DEA results indicated that 24% of the number of ships, 26% of the tonnages, or 29% of the horse powers should be reduced if the present catch remained. In addition, if the catch remains at the MSY base level of large purse seines, the analysis suggested that the number of ships, tonnages and horse powers should be reduced by 15%, 18%, and 21% respectively.

Comprehensive study on the control system design for a RTP process has been conducted. The purpose of the control system is to maintain maximum temperature uniformity across the silicon wafer achieving precise tracking for various reference trajectories. The study has been carried out in two stages: thermal balance modeling on the basis of a semi-empirical radiation model, and optimal iterative learning controller design on the basis of a linear state space model. First, we found through steady state radiation modeling that the fourth power of wafer temperatures, lamp powers, and the fourth power of chamber wall temperature are related by an emissivity-independent linear equation. Next, for control of the MIMO system, a state space modeland LQG-based two-stage batch control technique was derived and employed to reduce the heavy computational demand in the original two-stage batch control technique. By accommodating the first result, a linear state space model for the controller design was identified between the lamp powers and the fourth power of wafer temperatures as inputs and outputs, respectively. The control system was applied to an experimental RTP equipment. As a consequence, great uniformity improvement could be attained over the entire time horizon compared to the original multi-loop PID control. In addition, controller implementation was standardized and facilitated by completely eliminating the tedious and lengthy control tuning trial.

This study considered the performing arts culture with a focus on Palgwanhoe Ceremony and various stunt-songs and dance (Baekhee-Gamoo) from the Goryeo period as well as examined the characteristics of performing arts' costume for Baekhee-Gamoo shown in Palgwanhoe Ceremony. The Baekhee-Gamoo shown in the Palgwanhoe Ceremony included acrobatics, traditions from comic dramas, puppet shows, mask plays, and four musical troupe flowers of youth in the Silla Dynasty, who excelled in beauty, bravery and the military arts (Sasun-Akboo). These were performed on a wagon ship with dragon, phoenix, and elephant animal masks (Yong-Bong-Sang-Mageosun). The characteristics of performing arts' costume for each performing arts are as follows. First, the general costume of the time was used for performing arts' costume. There were no special costumes for performing arts and it was just transformed or added for the efficiency of acrobatics. Second, the reality was improved by focusing on the historical research on costume suitable for characters and background of events in the performing arts to clearly deliver the purpose of the ceremony and quickly arouse audience's curiosity towards the performing arts' costume for the tradition of comic dramas and puppet shos in the Palgwanhoe Ceremony. Third, magical powers and symbolism were expressed through masks and performing arts' costumes. Palgwanhoe Ceremony aimed for magical powers that could protect weak human beings from threats and repel everything unfair while also symbolically showing the deified being through the performing arts' costume.
