재조합 베큘로바이러스벡터의 유전자전달과 발현의 효과 (Efficacy of Gene Transfer and Expression of Recombinanat Baculovirus Vector System)

  • polyhedron promoter, vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSVG), polyA, cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), protein transduction domain (PTD) 유전자가 포함된 새로운 재조합 베큘로바이러스를 제조하였다. 본 재조합 베큘로바이러스 시스템은 293T, HepG2, HFF, Hur7 세포에 감염하여 시험하였고 재조합된 유전자의 전이와 유전자 발현을 대조 벡터시스템과 비교하였다. 본 연구로부터 새롭게 제작된 재조합 베큘로바이러스 시스템이 감염에 의한 유전자의 전달과 해당 유전자 발현에 있어서 대조 벡터시스템 보다 우수한 효과를 나타내었다.

Acoustic Estimation of Phase Velocity of Closed-Cell Kelvin Structure based on Spectral Phase Analysis

  • In this paper, the effect of porosity on the acoustic phase velocity of the 3D printed Kelvin closed-cell structure was investigated using the spectral phase analysis. Since Kelvin cells bring about the large amount of scattering, acoustic pulses in ultrasonic measurements undergoes a distortion of waveforms due to the dispersion effect. In order to take account on the dispersion, mathematical expressions for calculating the phase velocity of longitudinal waves propagating normal to the plane of the Kelvin structure are suggested by introducing a complex wave number based on Fourier transform. 3D Kelvin structure composed of identical unit-cells, a polyhedron of 14 faces with 6 quadrilateral and 8 hexagonal faces, was developed and fabricated by 3D CAD and 3D printer to represent the micro-structure of porous materials such as aluminum foam and cancellous bone. Total nine samples of 3D Kelvin structure with different porosity were made by changing the thickness of polyhedron. Ultrasonic pulse of 1MHz center frequency was applied to the Kelvin structures for the measurement of the phase velocity of ultrasound using the TOF(time-of-flight) and the phase spectral method. From the experimental results, it was found that the acoustic phase velocity decreased linearly with the porosity.

  • This paper provides examples which can not be approximate fibrations and shows that if $N^n$ is a closed aspherical manifold, $\pi_1(N)$ is hyperhophian, normally cohophian, and $\pi_1(N)$ has no nontrivial Abelian normal subgroup, then the product of $N^n$ and a sphre $S^m$ satisfies the property that all PL maps from an orientable manifold M to a polyhedron B for which each point preimage is homotopy equivalent to $N^n \times S^m$ necessarily are approximate fibrations.

선형계산문제의 비정변형해법의 연구 (A Non-edge Following Method for Solving Linear Programs)

  • In this paper, we propose a non-edge following method for linear programs. Unlike alledged poor performance of algorithms of this type, this method performs well at least with 25 randomly generated problems. This method is comparable to Rosen's gradient projection method as applied to the dual formulation. The latter is of general purpose, and no implementation rules are available for linear program applications. This paper suggests ways of finding improving dual feasible directions, and of allowing to move across the extreme faces of a higher dimension polyhedron. Rather simple computational rules are provided for projection operations needed at each iteration.

  • Let f : $X{\rightarrow}X$ be a self-map of a connected finite polyhedron X. In this short note, we say that the mod H Nielsen number $N_H(f)$ is well-defined without the algebraic condition $ f_{\pi}(H)\;{\subseteq}H$ and that $N_H(f)$ is the same as the q-Nielsen number $N_q(f)$ in any case.

Efficacy of Gene Transfer of Recombinant Baculovirus Vector

  • A novel recombinant baculovirus vector system containing coding genes for polyhedron promoter, vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSVG), polyA, cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), and protein transduction domain (PTD) was constructed. We applied this recombinant baculovirus vector into cells and murine tissues and compared efficacy of gene transfer and expression of this recombinant baculovirus vector system with control vector system. From this result, we confirmed that this novel recombinant baculovirus vector system was very effective than control vector system.

  • 보로노이 다이아그램은 계산기하학에서 다양한 형태의 근접 문제를 해결함에 있어 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 일반적으로 평면상의 n 개의 점에 의한 평면 보로노이 다이아그램 O(nlogn) 시간에 생성할 수 있으며 이 알고리즘의 시간 복잡도가 최적임이 밝혀져 있다. 본 논문에서는 특별한 관계를 갖는 단위 구면상의 점들에 대한 구면 상에서 정의되는 보로노이 다이아그램을 O(n)에 생성하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이때 주어진 구면상의 점들은 볼록 다면체의 단위 법선 벡터들의 종점에 해당되며, 구면 보로노이 다이아그램의 선분은 구면상의 geodesic으로 이루어진다.

  • Let X be a finite polyhedron that is of the homotopy type of the wedge of the torus and the surface with boundary. Let $f:X{\rightarrow}X$ be a self-map of X. In this paper, we prove that if the induced endomorphism of ${\pi}_1(X)$ is K-reduced, then there is an algorithm for computing the Nielsen number N(f).

AN ELEMENTARY PROOF OF SFORZA-SANTALÓ RELATION FOR SPHERICAL AND HYPERBOLIC POLYHEDRA

  • We defined and studied a naturally extended hyperbolic space (see [1] and [2]). In this study, we describe Sforza's formula [7] and Santal$\acute{o}$'s formula [6], which were rediscovered and later discussed by many mathematicians (Milnor [4], Su$\acute{a}$rez-Peir$\acute{o}$ [8], J. Murakami and Ushijima [5], and Mednykh [3]) in the spherical space in an elementary way. Thereafter, using the extended hyperbolic space, we apply the same method to prove their results in the hyperbolic space.
