This study is to investigate the needs for the cool motorcycle helmet and the factors affecting the purchasing intention of cool helmet. The convenient sampling from motorcycle clubs were conducted during 5/20/2014~5/28/2014 on Google DAX. As a result, 197 participants were surveyed. The main reasons of sensing unpleasant feeling wearing helmet were identified as 'hot and uncomfortable feeling' and 'it ruins hair style'. The mean score expressed in terms of five point scale showed that the needs for cool helmet was 3.9 and the purchasing intention of cool helmet was 3.6, respectively. The significant factors influencing the purchasing intention of cool helmet were identified as 'the needs for cool helmet' (odds ratio=6.52) and 'extra paying intention for cool helmet' (odds ratio=1.77). The main reasons of sensing unpleasant feeling wearing helmet were similar to the previous research. However, we can expect that the initial target market for cool helmet would be the low end (less than \40,000 of extra paying intention) or the high end (more than \100,000 of extra paying intention). The main contribution of this study is dealing with the topics related to the purchasing intention of the cool helmet.

There has been much advancement in reality enhancement using audio-visual information. On the other hand, there is little research on provision of olfactory information because smell is difficult to implement and control. In order to obtain necessary basic data when intend to provide smell for video reality, in this research, we investigated user perception of smell in diverse videos and then classified the videos based on the collected user perception data. To do so, we chose five main questions which were 'whether smell is present in the video'(smell presence), 'whether one desire to experience the smell with the video'(preference for smell presence with the video), 'whether one likes the smell itself'(preference for the smell itself), 'desired smell intensity if it is presented with the video'(smell intensity), and 'the degree of smell concreteness'(smell concreteness). After sampling video clips of various genre which are likely to receive either high and low ratings in the questions, we had participants watch each video after which they provided ratings on 7-point scale for the above five questions. Using the rating data for each video clips, we constructed scatter plots by pairing the five questions and representing the rating scale of each paired questions as X-Y axes in 2 dimensional spaces. The video clusters and distributional shape in the scatter plots would provide important insight into characteristics of each video clusters and about how to present olfactory information for video reality.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the importance and performance of the educational laboratory facilities for culinary practice. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 students enrolled in the culinary arts department at Y University located in Chung-buk province, and a total of 71 usable, completed questionnaires were received for the research. Collected data was statistically analyzed using the SPSS 10.0 Windows version, and the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) was conducted to compare importance and satisfaction from kitchen laboratory facilities which have been a key element of culinary education. Results of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, it was found that performance (M=3.42) for culinary practice facilities was lower than importance(M=4.09) for culinary practice facilities. Secondly, through IPA, the importance and satisfaction of culinary laboratory elements showed some differences between the students who had have some educational experience in culinary art prior to enrollmnet and those who had not. The former students attached importance to the usefulness of facilities rather than the size of facilities. And as rapidly improved factors, they answered ventilation and water supply facilities for culinary laboratories. The application of this study in physical environment of culinary education will contribute to improve students` satisfaction with the quality of education. However, the critical point of this study is a limited sampling, so the results of this study cannot be generalized.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate perception of good death among the community-dwelling elderly and identify factors related to the perception. Methods: A questionnaire survey was carried out using a convenient sampling method (N=317). Data were analyzed by applying descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Participants scored an average of 3.35 on a 4-point scale for the perception level of good death. They scored higher on the factor of personal control that other factors affecting the perception. Good death was positively correlated with family support (r=0.252). Family support (${\beta}$=0.287) and gender (${\beta}$=0.197) significantly influenced the elderly's perception of good death. These variables accounted for 10.2% of the total variance. Conclusion: The results show that family support is an important factor for the perception of good death among the elderly. Therefore, family support should be carefully considered to ensure good death for more senior citizens. Our findings can be utilized to support programs such as death education for the elderly.
This study was performed to investigate the behavioral characteristics of Hanwoo(Bos taurus coreanae) cows and their calves. Four cows and their calves were placed in pens. The behaviors of each cow and calf were recorded using a time lapse VCR from 07:00 h to 18:00 h for 6 days and were analyzed using the scan point sampling method. The cow's behaviors in order of frequency were LD(lying down, 25%), ST(standing, 23%), EA(eating, 13%), LR(lying down rumination, 10%) and SR(standing rumination, 7%). The cows spent less than 3% of their time PG(pairwise grooming) and SF(snifting). The calves mainly showed LD(52%), ST(28%), LF (lying flat, 4%), EA(3%) and WA(walking, 3%). The calves spent less than 2% of their time SF(sniffing) and SUK(suckling), The behavioral patterns of cows and their calves at 07:00 h, 12:00 h and 18:00 h were different, especially in ST and LD.
There are many advantages when using IIF and DNA probe methods over anaerobic culture method in that they are time-and effort-saving, more precise and more sensitive. Furthermore, in IIF and DNA probe methods, the detection is possible only with small amount of bacteria, the quantitative analysis is possible, and the cell viability is not necessary. The purpose of this study is to observe the incidence of P.endodontalis by carrying out anaerobic culture, IIF and colony lift using DNA probe method respectively, and to compare these 3 methods in terms of effectiveness and sensitivity in order to identify the most effective detection method. 30 teeth with at least one clinical symptoms, with single canal, and with pulp necrosis were sampled. For sampling bacteria, access cavity was prepared after disinfecting tooth and its surroundings. Then the paper point was inserted up to the periapical area, leave there for a while, and finally it was placed into PRAS Ringer's sol. and PBS sol. In anaerobic culture method, P.endodontalis was identified by biochemical tests after subculturing black and brown colonies which were produced after 7 days of incubation on BAP and Brucella BAP in anaerobic chamber. To identify P.endodontalis in IIF method, species-specific polyclonal rabbit-antisera of P.endodontalis(ATCC 35406) was reacted with sampled PBS sol. dispensed onto glass slide, and then P.endodontalis was examined by phase contrast microscopy after incubating with Goat anti-rabbit lgG conjugated to Fluorescein isothiocyanate. For colony lift using DNA probe method, membranes were laid over colonies on the surface of BAP and were hybridized with cloned DNA probe of P.endodontalis. The existence of P.endodontalis was then identified by the methods of chemiluminescent detection and color metric detection. Black colony was found in 11 teeth out of 30 teeth and P.endodontalis was detected in 6 teeth (20 %) by anaerobic culture method, 16 teeth (53 %) by IIF method, and 7 teeth (23 %) by DNA probe method. IIF method is significantly better in detecting P.endodontalis than DNA probe method and anaerobic culture method. There was no significant differences between DNA probe method and anaerobic culture method. There was significant correlation between the formation of black colony and the existence of P.endodontalis. The probability of detecting P.endodontalis when black colony being present is 2.89 times higher than when not being present. There was significant relationship between the foul odor of clinical symptoms and P.endodontalis. The sensitivity of existing P.endodontalis when foul odor being present was 93.75 %, while the specificity of not existing P.endodontalis when foul odor not being present was 28.57 %. These results suggested that the probes of P.endodontalis will be used to decide the method and prognosis in endodontic treatments.
This descriptive correlational study was conducted to identify the variables related to a health promoting lifestyle in high school students. 304 high school students and 189 vocational high school students living in Taegu city were selected by a convenience sampling method. The data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from August 24 to September 4, 1998. Pender and others' Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile, Shere et al's. Self-Efficacy scale, Wallston et al.'s Internal Health Locus of Control scale, Wares' Health self rating scale and Cohen & Hoberman's Social support scale were used. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, MANOVA, ANOVA. Tukey verification and Stepwise multiple regression with an SAS program. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The average score of a health promoting lifestyle performance was 2.38(SD=.36) of a 4 point scale .Self-actualization (mean = 2.80. SD = .60). interpersonal support(mean = 2.73, SD=.47), health responsibility (mean=1.53, SD=.47), nutrition(mean=2.64, SD=.63), exercise(mean=2.71. SD=.72) and stress management(mean=2.37, SD=.58) were also analyzed. 2. The combination of self-efficacy, social-support, internal health locus of control. father's educational level and perceived health status explained 37.97% of the variance in health promoting lifestyles. 3. A Health promoting lifestyle showed significant positive correlations with self efficacy(r=.5173. p=.0011), perceived health status(r=.254, p=.001) and internal health locus of control(r=.321. p=.001). 4. According to sex(t=7.38. p=.006). economic state(F=6.62, p=.00l), Father's educational level(F=4.25, p=.005), mother's educational level(F=6.94. p=.000l), the grade of educational performance(F=3.74, p=.024), sleeping hours(F=3.47. p=.032) and social support(F=40.76, p=.0001). there were significant differences and modifying factors in health promoting lifestyles. On the basis of the above findings. self-efficacy in cognitive factors, and social support in modifying factors were identified as the variables which explained most of Pender's health-promotion model. Nursing strategies enhancing self-efficacy and social support which have a more significant effect on health promoting lifestyles should be developed. Further research is required to find out the factors influencing health pormoting lifestyle of high school students.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the stress and coping level as a result of dysmenorrhea which was experienced by girls. For the collection of data, the girls from the 1st to the 3rd grade in middle school in Seoul were selected through a random sampling technique. The survey was conducted from the 1st. to the 14th of June, 1991 by the use of questionnaires made after a pilot study. The final subjects for analysis were restricted to only those who had experienced me~arche, the number of which totaled 1,131. The stress, coping level, and other variables, were tested and analysed by descriptive statistics (eg, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation), t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients. The obtained results are summarized as follows. 1. The chronological start for menarche was at a mean age of 13.1 The respondents who had experienced menarche numbered $70.9\%$ of the 1st grades and $96.2\%$ of the 2nd grades in middle school, otherwise the starting age for menarche was in the 4th grade in primary school. 2. Their menstrual cycle and period were longer than adult's one. The number of students studied who had experienced dysmenorrhea during their menstrual cycle were 860, and 650 of those revealed that their mothers or sisters had experienced similar problems. 3. The subjects who were late or head left early rather than being absent from school every menstruation cycle were more stressful. The results are thought to show that the girl's perception of dysmenorrhea seems to be more sensitive than adult's one. 4, A significant negative correlation was found between the perception of menstrual flow and strees level. It means that an increase in the stress of dysmenorrhea was associated with decreased menstrual bleeding. The degree of hypochondrical concern assessed by the girls was significantly correlated to stress and coping level. When the girls perceived high stress as a result of dysmenorrhea, they worried about their physical health more. The above results lead us to the suggestion that the starting point of early education with a school program is appropriate for the 4th grade in primary school. Especially if the girls in middle school should be required to give the information about correct knowledge and sufficient self -care management of menstruation monthly, if this could be implemented the loss in school days among the students due to dysmenorrhea would be minimized with more ease.

The purpose of this study is to investigate if subjective well-being could be improved by visiting urban forests near residential areas. Because visiting an urban forest is not an intense positive experience, this research is focused on frequency of affective experience rather than intensity. The independent variables are number of visits and length of stay. The dependent variables are positive affect, negative affect, and life satisfaction. A polling agency was employed to select 600 respondents by quota sampling, and data was collected by online survey. The results of ANOVA showed that there was no interaction between the number of visits and length of stay. Regardless of the number of visits, the subjective well-being of visitors of urban forests was enhanced: (a) positive affect of respondents who had visited in the past 2 weeks was increased while negative affect was decreased, and (b) life satisfaction for those who had visited at least 1 time per month was enhanced among usual visitors. The stay of length, however, had little effect on the increase or decrease of these three variables. The results of this study support the existing theory that one could reset their genetically determined happiness set point to a higher level by participating in intentional activities such as visiting urban forests that offer ways to achieve long-lasting changes in well-being. This means that it would be a valuable government investment to construct and maintain urban forests for improving citizens' welfare. A few comments were suggested regarding data collection and inclusion of influencing variables to make future subjective well-being studies more reliable.
P-value is the probability of observing a current sample and possibly other samples departing equally or more extremely from the null hypothesis toward postulated alternative hypothesis. When p-value is less than a certain level called ${\alpha}$(= 0:05), researchers claim that the alternative hypothesis is supported empirically. Unfortunately, some findings discovered in that way are not reproducible, partly because the p-value itself is a statistic vulnerable to random variation. Boos and Stefanski (2011) suggests calculating the upper limit of p-value in hypothesis testing, using a bootstrap predictive distribution. To determine the sample size of a replication study, this study proposes thought experiments by simulating boosted bootstrap samples of different sizes from given observations. The method is illustrated for the cases of two-group comparison and multiple linear regression. This study also addresses the reproducibility of the points in the given 95% confidence interval. Numerical examples show that the center point is covered by 95% confidence intervals generated from bootstrap resamples. However, end points are covered with a 50% chance. Hence this study draws the graph of the reproducibility rate for each parameter in the confidence interval.
