In this paper, warpage magnitude and shape of printed-circuit board in case that properties of core and thickness of solder resist are varied are investigated. The cause of warpage is coefficient of thermal expansion differences of stacked materials. Therefore, we need small difference of coefficient of thermal expansion that laminated material, and need to decrease asymmetric of top side and bottom side in structure shape. Also, we can control occurrence of warpage heightening hardness of core in laminated material. Composite material that make core are exploited in connection with the structural bending twisting coupling resulting from directional properties of fiber reinforced composite materials and from ply stacking sequence. If we use such characteristic, we can control warpage with change of material properties. In this paper, warpage of two layer stacked chip scale package is investigated, and evaluate improvement result using an experiment and finite element method tool.

This paper provides the compressive failure strength value of composite laminate developed by using regression analysis method. Composite material in this document is a Carbon/Epoxy unidirection(UD) tape prepreg(Cycom G40-800/5276-1) cured at $350^{\circ}F(177^{\circ}C$). The operating temperature is -$-60^{\circ}F{\sim}+200^{\circ}F$($-55^{\circ}C{\sim}+95^{\circ}C$). A total of 56 compression tests were conducted on specimens from eight (8) distinct laminates that were laid up by standard angle layers ($0^{\circ}$, $+45^{\circ}$, $-45^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$). The ASTM-D-6484 standard was used for test method. The regression analysis was performed with the response variable being the laminate ultimate fracture strength and the regressor variables being two ply orientations ($0^{\circ}$ and ${\pm}45^{\circ}$).
The delamination along the annual ring on the cross-section of laminae and the bonding strength according to the tangential angle between laminae were evaluated for the production of 3-ply cross-laminated timber (CLT) using domestic larch. Since there is no standard for CLT in Korea, the production and test of specimens for bonding strength followed the standard procedure of "Structural glued laminated timber" (KS F 3021). The standard specifies to exclude any measurement from the cracks of timbers resulted from drying or knots during delamination test of the glued laminated timbers. However, the failure of cross-sectional tissues along the annual rings was observed near the glue-line of all specimens during the delamination test. Because this phenomenon can generate defects in the CLT that may be exposed to various temperatures and relative humidities after the actual construction, the delamination percentage was measured by including this wood failure. As a result, the delamination percentage of the CLT which had been combined in such a way that the annual rings of outer lamina were directed inward was the lowest, which was around 13%, regardless of the annual ring direction of the middle lamina. On the other hand, the delamination percentage of the CLT which had been combined in such a way that the annual rings of outer lamina were directed outward was the highest, which was around 26%. Furthermore, end-split occurred in the outer lamina during the drying process of the boiling delamination test, which affected the delamination percentage. Therefore, the soaking delamination test was found to be more appropriate for evaluating the delamination strength of CLT. The block shear strength of larch CLT was $3.9{\pm}0.9$ MPa on average, which was 46% lower than the block shear strength requirement (7.1 MPa) of the standard, but satisfied the criteria of the block shear strength (3.5 MPa) of the European Standard (prEN 16351: 2013).

The results of an experimental and analytical study of composite pressure hull on buckling pressure are presented for LRN 300. Composite tensile test was done to know the composite material properties applied FE analysis for URN composite. We predicted the buckling and post buckling analysis of composite laminated cylindrical panels under external compression by using ABAQUS /Standard[Ver 6.4]. To obtain nonlinear static equilibrium solutions for unstable problems, where the load-displacement response can exhibit the type of nonlinear buckling behavior, during periods of the response, the load and/or the displacement may decrease as the solution evolves, used the modified Riks method. The modified Riks method is an algorithm that allows effective solution of such cases [7]. Experiments were conducted to verify the validation of present analysis for cross-ply laminated shells. The shells considered in the study have two different lamination patterns, $[{\pm}45/0/90]_{18s\;and}\;[/0/90]_{18s}$. Cylindrical panel of experiment and analysis have the radius of 200mm, length of 210mm and 60 degree of cutting angle. The critical load from experiment is $69\%$ of that of numerical analysis, because the fracture of matrix was generated before buckling. So URN 300 is not proper to use at the condition under high external pressue.
In recent years the development of high modulus, high strength and low density boron and graphite fibers bonded together has brought renewed interestes in structural elements. When a plate with arbitrarily oriented layers and clamped boundary conditions is subjected to uniform loading, it is difficult to analyze and apply, compared with isotropic and orthotropic cases. Therefore the numerical methods, such as finite difference method or finite element method, should be emloyed to analyse such problems. In this study the finite difference technique is used to formulate the bending analysis of symmetric composite laminated skew plates. When this technique is used to solve the problem, it is desirable to reduce the order of the derivatives in order to minimize the number of the pivotal points involved in each equation. The 4th order partial differential equations of laminated skew plates are converted to an equivalent three of 2nd order partial differential equations with three dependant variables.

The type III vessel, which is used to store high-pressure hydrogen gas, is made by wrapping the vessel's liner with carbon fiber composite materials for strength performance and lightening. The liner seals the internal gas and the composite resists the internal pressure. The properties of the fiber composite material depends on the angle and thickness of the fiber. Thus, engineers should consider these various design variables. However, it significantly increases the design cost due to the trial and error under designing based on experience or experiments. And, for aluminum liners, fatigue loads due to using and charging could give a huge impact on the performance of the structure. However, fatigue failure does not necessarily occur in the position under the highest load in use. Therefore, for hydrogen storage vessel, fatigue evaluation according to design patterns is essential because stress distribution varies depend on composite layer patterns. This study performed an optimization analysis and evaluated a high-pressure hydrogen storage vessel to minimize these trial and error and improve the reliability of the structure, while simultaneously conducting fatigue assessment of all patterns derived from the optimization analysis process. The results of this study are thought to be useful in the strength improvement and life design of composite reinforced high-pressure storage vessels.

In recent years, major airplane manufacturers have been using the laminate failure theory to estimate the strain of composite structures for airplanes. The laminate failure theory uses the failure strain of the laminate to analyze composite structures. This paper describes a procedure for the experimental assessment of laminate tensile failure characteristics. Regression analysis was used as the experimental assessment method. The regression analysis was performed with the response variable being the laminate failure strain and with the regressor variables being two-ply orientation ($0^{\circ}$ and ${\pm}45^{\circ}$) variables. The composite material in this study is a carbon/epoxy unidirectional (UD) tape that was cured as a pre-preg at $177^{\circ}C(350^{\circ}F)$. A total of 149 tension tests were conducted on specimens from 14 distinct laminates that were laid up at standard angle layers ($0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $-45^{\circ}$, and $90^{\circ}$). The ASTM-D-3039 standard was used as the test method.
