An Analysis Study of Changes in Middle School Students' Mathematical Conceptual Structure Using a Learning Platform (수학 학습 플랫폼을 활용한 중학생의 문자와 식에 대한 개념 구조 변화 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the possibility of whether learning using a math learning platform can be used to expand students' conceptual structure and to consider how to use it. To this end, first-year middle school students studied using a math learning platform. Then, the concept map created was compared and analyzed with the concept map created before learning to examine the change in the concept structure. The results of analyzing the concept map are as follows. First, the change in the hierarchical structure of the concept appeared as the division of the upper concept was subdivided. However, it has also been changed to comprehensively integrate and simplify higher concepts. The term-centered concept structure has changed to content-centered superordinate and subordinate concepts. In the concept structure, subordinate concepts linked to one higher concept were expanded and differentiated. Second, changes in the integrated structure did not form a linkage structure. The expansion of the integrated structure of concepts through learning using the learning platform was influenced by the composition of the learning contents designed in the learning platform.

Information Structure of Online Video Platform Focused on Web-Drama Case (온라인 동영상 시청 플랫폼의 정보구조 탐색 - 웹드라마 사례를 중심으로)

  • Purpose of this study is enhancing usability of online video platform by analyze link-depth and advertisement frequency. In this study, researcher checked market share of video platform which publishing web-drama, and compare their link-depth and advertisement frequency. As a result, access to the latest content has two to three link-depth. So it does not worsen usability. but, if contents doesn't show on main page or search result, it requires more than five to six steps. Image advertisement show up more than twice on every platform. 'Youtube' and 'Naver TV' show up pre-roll video advertisement in video player before offering contents. In this video platform information structure, directory searching needs high link-depth level and advertisement frequency. It will increase user's bounce rate and decrease return visit rate. So researcher suggests prototype using drop-down menu to reduce link-depth and enhance information structure.

  • Recently there are so many media contents created and used by variety routes. Therefore, it is essential to make a new platform which is used for distributing media contents include IPTV. With open IPTV service, developing the new platform became even more important. Because open IPTV makes it possible for consumers to choose contents regardless of contents of the providers. The new platform has to accept current variety service structure. MPEG-21 multimedia framework was developed to satisfy these needs. It presented the distribution framework of the contents but didn't restrict the particular solutions for protecting the rights.   • Recently, the concept of mobile content service has changed from providing unilaterally contents for single-device to providing same contents for multi-device. This service should be able to provide diverse contents for multi-devices without platform and specification of multi-device. In this study, we propose a bridge technique of heterogeneous smart platform supporting social immersive game. It is possible to access social immersive game by using a multi-platform bridge. To achieve this, we explain techniques of device connection and data transmission between heterogeneous devices using server-client structure and UPnP. It provides an immersive game environment for multi-user, which is able to play in a public place using big screen.

  • In recent years, the advance on the high-end converging technology has improved to the changes on digital signage technology in many ways. Digital signage has to be designed to give information through systemed structure among the constituent for developing the information delivery responding to the environmental conversion, not feeding user information. Therefore, this paper proposes a smart contents platform which supplies various from of digital signage contents. In the digital signage circumstance, the smart contents platform is a way for an effective information transmission, game and the advertising interface by recognizing user interaction and the environmental information. This platform is composed of base hardware, middleware and middle device. Each component module is managed by the smart contents platform. Furthermore, it serves various live contents experiences via gathering and analyzing user and environmental information with linking various sensors and devices. It is a new way of information delivery which serves contents producing and providing circumstances in parallel.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic had substantial negative impacts and caused several disruptions to the global supply chain of the shipping industry. The key challenges identified in terms of maritime manpower are the Certificates of Competency (CoC) or the expiration and/or failure to complete refresher and/or revalidation courses, which directly hinder employment retention and lost opportunities at sea. To tackle this issue directly and swiftly, the creation of the APEC SEN Distance Learning Platform was suggested and approved by APEC as part of an official project. This paper introduces the APEC-wide accessible distance learning platform with the following key topics: the organisation and operation of the platform, the themes and content to be prioritised, the process of education, training, certification, and the ways to promote accreditation, mutual recognition on CoC, education and training videos by taking collaborative actions, and the development of content.

  • Multimedia Platform box based on distributed environments have much effect on objects grouping for management of distributed resources. This paper utilizes weight and fuzzy filtering techniques for objects platform in distributed multimedia environments. Weight and Fuzzy filtering techniques perform grouping by references relation of multimedia objects and this paper proposes object dictionary structure.

Content Analysis of the Teaching Support Program of the Teaching and Learning Center and Direction of the Teaching Support Platform (교수학습센터의 교수지원 프로그램 컨텐츠 분석 및 교수지원 플랫폼이 나아갈 방향)

  • This is a study on the direction of the teaching support program contents analysis and teaching support platform of the teaching and learning center. To this end, in April 2020, a literature study was conducted, an analysis of the current status of teaching support at other universities and K universities, an analysis of professor interviews, and expert verification were conducted. The main research results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the current status of teaching support programs at 24 universities, it was confirmed that special lectures on teaching methods, class consulting, teaching method research meetings, and educational resource rooms were operated as representative programs. Second, the basic structure of the platform is composed of a lecture case sharing bulletin board to enable active exchange of opinions on teaching methods among teachers, a teaching support program application bulletin board to enable application for a teaching method program, and Edu-tech to activate the platform, and a professor support menu. Third, the contents of the teaching support platform were implemented based on the basic structure of the teaching support platform. This study analyzed the contents of the teaching support program and conducted a study to suggest the direction of the teaching support platform to discuss the direction of establishing an effective teaching support platform.

Research on the Development Strategies of Confucius Institute for Expanding China's Foreign Trade

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore how the Confucius Institute Chinese international promotion could better promote the development of China's foreign trade, by analyzing the distribution of the Confucius Institute worldwide, based on the theory of language economics, using SWOT analysis to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the internal environment, opportunities and challenges of the external environment of Chinese international promotion of Confucius Institute. The following findings were gathered: as a language teaching institution and information exchange platform, Confucius Institute has the ability to share trade information and increase trade opportunities; to improve cultural identity and reduce transaction costs; to promote cultural communication and integration, and drive the development of related industries. The internal disadvantages were mainly reflected in the mismatch between the global regional distribution structure of Confucius Institutes, and the economic and trade structure, such as, the asymmetry between language, culture output, and demand. In addition, the management mechanism was not perfect. External opportunities were mainly new opportunities brought by economic globalization, cultural diversity, and the development of the Belt and Road initiative. External challenges were mainly influenced by the China threat theory and the fierce cultural competition among countries. The corresponding countermeasures were put forward based on the advantages of the platform and grasping the external opportunities: improving the quality of operation and speeding up the localization process; respecting cultural differences and realizing cultural common learning; seeking multilateral cooperation and enhancing the capacity for independent development.
