This study examined librarians' perceptions of Information Commons(I.C.), user's information seeking behaviors, and new role of library in the digital ages. Interviews with 28 librarians found that the perceptions of the librarians were widely differed depending on their understandings of the nature of the space. The interview results were divided into three different categories of librarians: the librarians; 1) understanding library as a place only with academic functions, 2) library as academic place along with multi-cultural functions, and 3) library as open learning space with focus on creativity and discovery of users. The findings also indicated that all these perceptions are closely related to understanding of the role of library and its future development.

In this paper it is investigated that the visual elements of preference which influence the visual preference for bench. "What color of bench is preferred when the location is the same\ulcorner" Started from those questions, the elements of preference which influence the visual preference for bench is investigated. In this research, a equal standard mark system is applied for the evaluation of visual elements of preference and then the relationship between the visual preference and the elements of preference are examined by the method of multiple regression analysis. The result of primary factor analysis from the visual evaluation in this paper will affect visual preference of the bench in urban park. Thus, the result of this study will contribute to development of urban parks for the maximum satisfaction of park visitors supplying necessary information for a resting place planning and design. It will provide a useful management guide of urban park facilities to prepare a strategic management plan of the benches from the users point of view. Especially, to know the correct preference of people, which will be provided by the evaluation of visual preference to bench will be the key to rest place planning.

This study was performed to investigate the status of using agricultural information and develope desirable strategy to offer agricultural information for leaf vegetables farmers. 187 farmers are surveyed to collect data. Many farmers get agricultural information through various channel. They satisfied with agricultural information contents, rightness of time but dissatisfied with the easiness of gain, fitness of information relatively. And the mean score of farmer's information needs on agricultural information were higher than that of theoretical mean. relatively high items were new seed information, technology of cultivation, pesticide purchase and prevention, laborer finding, consumer information, the trend of leaf vegetables price, marketing place, government's agricultural policy and laws etc. To make farmers get information easily, we recommend to gather information at one place and provide them on internet portal site composed with information related for paddy rice farmers. To make desirable information service system, farmers should bring up their internet searching ability, and agricultural extension officers in count/city have to make effort to provide useful information more often by various communication methods such as visiting farmers, using internet or e-mail service, pamphlet, and so on.

Currently the forest area is 6,370,000 hectare (ha) which occupies 63.7% in Korea. The forest has good functions such as production of forest products, conservation of national land, prevention of disasters, etc. However constructing houses near the forest area make bad situation like illegal waste incineration by resident. So research subject is forest fire caused by waste incineration place including facility. And this study was conducted about statistical analysis and research analysis of the 100 waste incineration places including facilities at the country town. Statistical analysis shows that March is 27% which percentage is the highest number of forest fire in 10 years' average. The number of forest fire caused by waste incineration is 45 which is the third highest number in the fire statistic. The distance between waste incineration place including facility and forest area is 30m, 40m and 50m. That 40m (36%) is the most common distance from forest area. The types of waste incineration are ground (62%), the temporary facility made with oil drum can (35%) and other made with steel sheet, concrete, etc. The result of this study is that government and local government must conduct the improvement measure to reduce illegal incineration such as waste pickup area made with rain and wind proof type installed near residence, expenses for waste treatment, enlightenment and training, etc. Also considering their age and income are needed for realistic improvement.

Mobile IP has been designed only to maintain communication as they move form place to place, so it doesn't guarantee Quality of Service(QoS). QoS in mobile IP is important to provide multimedia and real-time applications services in mobile, and it is closely related to handoff delay. Therefore, handoff delay problem is actively studied to guarantee QoS as a main issue in mobile IP research area Next generation Mobile IPv6 resolve this problem somewhat, triangle problem for first packet and handoff delay still remain. In this paper, we suggest SNMP Information-based routing that adds keyword management method to Information-based routing in active network in order to resolve such a problem, and then suggest QoS controlled handoff based on SNMP Information-Based routing. After modeling of suggested method and existing handoff method simulations we carried out with NS-2 for performance evaluation. The results of simulations show the some improvement on handoff delay, and therefore on QoS improvement.

LX Hausys, a leading manufacturer of building materials in South Korea is engaging in the interior business where it is critical to balance between the needs of end-users (B2C) and the needs of corporate consumers (B2B) in an effective manner. Therefore, it is utmost important for the company to ensure that customer communication takes place in two directions based on correct market segmentation strategies, which in turn require a deep understanding of current as well as potential consumers. To accomplish this, LX Hausys conducted both quantitative and qualitative studies to establish a market segmentation strategy which is genuinely different from "general" consumer goods market segmentation strategies. As a result, especially since 2018, its brand (LX Z:IN) began to move up to 1st or 2nd place in a variety of brand rankings. This paper aims to look closely into various characteristic aspects of LXH's market segmentation strategy, and also shows how it is implemented in the real world.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to formulate a plan to cope with tourists' rights which can occur in tourist attraction place and anywhere for tourist activities and to seek a plan for introducing a watchdog system for tourists' civil complaints. Design/methodology/approach - To perform this purpose, this article will discuss a research review of the scope of tourist activities in terms of space and place perspectives and compare them to the watchdog and ombudsman concepts. And the study analyses and look at the suggestion about Tourism complains center and the Tourism policy system of procedure function and role critically. Findings - The Watchdog system is a routine activity in which citizen monitoring activities are developed in the form of a system and share inconvenience and anxiety detected in time and space in the expanding range of entertainment, leisure, and sports tourism activities. The resulting accident rate can be reduced, the administrative and private businesses can be resolved, and the cost of handling can be solved. Research implications or Originality - The social contribution of Watchdog can be systematically expanded and resolved at various sites by securing public trust in the country threats in daily places preventing risks securing continuous safety management of related facilities and other industries

Recently the Korean government provided forest recreation areas through developing evaluation index of rural areas amenity resources, forest therapy and recreational forest for revitalization of rural areas and national health promotion. However, what the public wants is just one place which includes all recreational facilities. GRAT tourism means Green, Rest and Therapy-Tourism. It is a new concept of recreational forests. This study defines GRAT-Tourism, the new concept of recreational activity and discusses the development of the GRAT-Tourism Evaluation Index.

The purpose of this study is to deal with a forecast of probable failures facing up to the existing Korean universities and colleges in the early 21st century and with how each institution should cope with the situation before the failures actually take place. The methods used in this research are Scenario analysis, Factor and Cluster analyses in order to find out major factors having influence upon the operation and management of these universities and colleges. It's turned out that every institution is different from others and in fact unique in its make-up and so each will have different ways to deal with the impending failures and the crisis management problems strategically.

Biomedical laboratory is full of risks. Risk could be biological, chemical, radioactive, mechanical, physical, fire and electrical. All possible risks need to be identified, evaluated and controlled. A risk management system must be in place to prevent accident or loss of lives and to improve overall workplace safety and productivity. Safety in laboratory is a combination of appropriate risk management system, engineering controls and technical facilities, administrative controls and safety procedures and practices. Laboratory safety culture must be developed so that exposure to hazards for laboratory personnel, community and environment will be minimized or eliminated. In this review, importance of safety in a biomedical laboratory and risk management will be discussed.
