  • Consumer's product selection measures are being shifted from the units' operational performance to overall performance. Low noise, low vibration, and low power consumption rate, etc. which used to be additional quality indices, now become vital performance factors. Especially, noise and vibration characteristics are being considered as equivalent to/or even more critical than operational performance in certain products such as office machines and home entertainment systems, which share the same space with human being's daily life. Therefore, noise reduction and sound quality improvement technology becomes an inevitable design issue for those applications. Qualitative noise characteristics of rotating polygonal disk applied to digital printer systems are presented. Overall sound pressure level change and tonal noise variation with respect to the geometrical properties of polygonal disk, operational speed, and others are briefly discussed based on experimental results.

대학의 ERP 도입 특성과 성과에 관한 연구 (Characteristics and Performance of ERP Adoption in University Organization)

  • Characteristics of the motivation and performance of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) adoption in university organization are explored through case studies in this study. Generally, the modules for production, sales, and logistics management in a manufacturing company are substituted with new modules for student support, lecture operations, and research management in ERP for university organization. The motivation of ERP adoption is closely related to the purpose of improvement of business process operations and information system control rather than the environmental factors such as inter-organizational competition or increase of market uncertainty, differentially from enterprises cases. In addition, the financial performance such as cost reduction, labor substitution, and increase of productivity is relatively lower evaluated than the performance on organizational aspects or information system control.

블록 경계 영역 분류를 이용한 블록화 현상 제거 기법의 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison of Blocking Artifact Reduction Using a Block Boundary Region Classification)

  • 본 논문에서는 블록 기반 변환 부호화 영상에서 나타나는 블록화 현상을 분석하고 그 특성에 따라 각 블록 경계를 4개의 영역으로 분류하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안한 블록 경계 영역 분류 방법을 이용하여 성능이 우수한 몇 가지 블록화 현상 제거 기법들의 성능을 비교하였다. 제안된 블록 경계 영역 분류 방법에서는 각 수평, 수직 블록 경계를 EQ 영역, BA 영역, 그리고 AE 영역의 4개의 영역으로 분류한다. 블록화 현상 제거기법으로는 LOT, Kim의 웨이브렛 영역에서의 필터링 방법, Yang의 POCS 방법, Paek의 POCS 방법, Jang의 CM 방법을 선택하였다. 실험결과, 제안한 블록 경계 영역 분류 방법으로 블록 경계의 영역들이 블록화 현상에 의한 불연속의 특성을 잘 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 웨이블렛 변환을 이용하는 블록화 현상 제거 기법들이 대체적으로 우수한 성능을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.

  • The study of the automotive noise reduction has been concentrated on the reduction of the automotive engine noise because the engine noise is the major cause of automotive noise. However, many studies of automotive engine noise led to the interest of the noise reduction of the exhaust and intake system. Recently, the active control method is used to reduce the noise of an automotive exhaust and intake system. It is mostly used the LMS(Least-Mean-Square) algorithm as an algorithm of active control because the LMS algorithm can easily obtain the complex transfer function in real-time. Especially, Filtered-X LMS (FXLMS) algorithm is applied to an Active Noise Control system. However, the convergence performance of LMS algorithm went bad when the FXLMS algorithm was applied to an active control of the induction noise under rapidly accelerated driving conditions. So, in order to solve this problem, the modified FXLMS algorithm is proposed. In this study, the improvement of the control performance using the modified FXLMS algorithm under rapidly and suddenly accelerated driving conditions was identified. Also, the performance of an active control using the LMS algorithm under rapidly accelerated driving conditions was evaluated through the theoretical derivation using a chirp signal to have similar characteristics with the induction noise signal.

공회전시 비틀림진동 저감을 위한 클러치 비틀림 특성 연구 (A Study on Clutch-disc Torsional Characteristic for aTorsional Vibration Reduction at Idling)

  • The flucturation of the engine torque appears to be the major source of the torsional vibration of the automotive driveline. The reduction of this torsional vibration has become a significant problem, due to an increase in the flucturation of the torque of recent light weighted powered engines, along with the requirements of higher performance. The torsional vibration of the automotive driveline can be reduced by soothing the fluctuation by adjusting the torsional characteristics of the clutch-disc. Computer simulation of the engine- input gear train is a useful investigative tool on studying the torsional characteristics of the clutch-disc. In this paper, a dynamic model for the automotive driveline was developed, and the engine torque and drag torque of the model were evaluated withe experimental data. By executing a simulation using the model, it has become possible to obtain the clutch-disc torsional characteristics when the engine is idling and the clucth-disc torsional characteristics for reducing the torsional vibration has been suggested.

  • The non-periodic fluctuation of the engine torque appears to be the major source of the torsional vibration of the automotive driveline. The reduction of this torsional vibration has become a significant problem along with the requirements of higher performance. The torsional vibration of the automotive driveline can be reduced by smoothing the fluctuation by adjusting the torsional characteristics of the clutch-disc. Computer simulation of the driveline is a useful investigative tool on studying the torsional characteristics of the clutch-disc. In this paper, a dynamic model for the automotive driveline was developed, and the engine torque of the model were evaluated with experimental data. By executing a simulation using the model, it has become possible to obtain the clutch-disc torsional characteristics for reducting the torsional vibration at creeping.

고효율 에어갭 공명기의 소음 저감 특성 (Noise Reduction Characteristics of a High-performance Air-gap Resonator)

  • The objective of the paper is to demonstrate the noise reduction characteristics of an air-gap resonator, which is composed of an air gap and a partition sheet. By means of installing the air-gap resonator in an enclosed cavity, acoustic resonance can be effectively suppressed using a small space. In particular, it is revealed from a simple, one-dimensional model that the air-gap resonator serves as the Helmholtz resonator that generally absorbs acoustic resonance energy at its resonance frequency. As a result, the air-8ap resonator also has a resonance frequency, which can be predicted with a simple frequency equation derived in the paper. Finally, verification experiments show that the air-gap resonator can be effectively designed by predicting a reasonable gap thickness using the simple frequency-equation.

현장 실험을 통한 Sputter Coating 컬러 BIPV 모듈의 발전성능 평가 (Performance Assessment of Sputter-Coating-Colored BIPV Modules Through Field Test)

  • To assess the performance and characteristics of colored building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules, a comparative assessment of empirical performance was conducted on colored BIPV modules (gray, blue, and orange) and general BIPV module. These modules were installed on the south-facing slope (30°) for comparative assessment through a field test. Monitoring data were collected every 10 min from December 20, 2019 to January 21, 2020 and used to performance and characteristics analysis. Performance ratio and module efficiency were utilized during performance indexing for comparative assessment. For general BIPV modules, the operational efficiency was analyzed at 16.63%, whereas for colored BIPV modules, 13.70% (gray), 15.12 % (blue), and 14.49% (orange) were analyzed. It was discovered that the efficiency reduction caused by transmission losses owing to the application of colored cover glasses were 17.74% (gray), 9.05% (blue), and 9.86 % (orange), under field testing conditions. These values turned on an additional 7% reduction in efficiency for gray BIPV modules, compared to the degradation resulting from transmission drop (gray: 10.87%, blue: 8.99%, and orange: 9.02%) calculated using the efficiency of each module in standard test conditions (STC). Performance ratio analysis resulted in the following values: 0.92 for general BIPV modules, and 0.85 (gray), 0.91 (blue), and 0.91 (orange) for colored BIPV modules. As demonstrated by the above results, modules with a colored cover glass may differ in their operational performance depending on their color, unlike general modules. Therefore, in addition to the performance evaluation under STC, additional factors of degradation require consideration through field test.

Analysis of Cell Performance with Varied Electrolyte Species and Amounts in a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell

  • This study evaluated the performance characteristics of varied electrolyte species and amounts in a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC). Coin-type MCFCs were used at the condition of $650^{\circ}C$ and 1 atm. In order to measure the effects of varied electrolyte species and amounts, electrolytes of $(Li+K)_2CO_3$ and $(Li+Na)_2CO_3$ were selected and the amounts of 1.5 g, 2.0 g, 3.0 g, and 4.0 g were used. Insignificant performance differences were observed in the cell using different electrolytes, but the cell performance was sensitive to the amount of the electrolyte used. The pore-filling ratio (PFR), a ratio of pore filling in the components by the liquid carbonate electrolytes, was used to determine the optimum performance range. Consequently, 77% PFR demonstrated the optimum performance for both electrolytes. Thus, the MCFC had a permissible but narrow optimum performance range. The remaining amounts of electrolyte in the cells were determined using the weight reduction ratio (WRR) method after several hours of cell operation. The WRR used the relationship between the initial loaded amount of electrolyte and weight reduction of components in 10 wt% acetic acid. The relationships were linear and identical between the two electrolyte species.

탄소저감형 4성분계 고유동 콘크리트의 배합 및 품질 특성에 관한 실험적연구 (The Experimental Study on Mixing and Quality Properties of Quaternary Component Blended High Fluidity Concrete with CO2 Reduction)

  • 본 논문에서는 탄소저감을 위한 산업부산물 사용 증대 및 시공성능 향상을 위하여 시멘트 사용량을 80% 이상 감소시킨 탄소저감형 4성분계 고유동 콘크리트를 제조하여 품질특성, 및 탄소저감 성능을 수행하였다. 탄소저감형 4성분계 고유동 콘크리트의 품질특성 평가를 수행한 결과 다량의 산업부산물을 혼합하여 시멘트 사용량을 80% 이상 감소시킨 배합에서 목표 성능을 만족하는 품질을 얻을 수 있었으며, 유동특성, 역학특성 및 내구특성의 경우 기존 기준 배합과 비교하여 다소 성능이 감소되는 경향이 나타났지만 소요 성능 수준 이상의 성능을 만족할 수 있는 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 탄소저감형 다성분계 고유동 콘크리트의 탄소저감 성능을 분석하기 위하여 콘크리트의 전 과정 평가를(LCA) 실시한 결과 기존 기준 배합과 비교하여 약 62.2%의 탄소저감 성능이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 제조비용의 경우 약 24.5%의 원가 절감이 되는 것으로 나타났다.
