건설 정보화 시스템의 BSC기반 성과지표 개발 (Development of Performance Indicators for Construction IT Tool based on BSC)

  • Current IT Tools for construction project have been developing to satisfy the requirements of improving productivity and quality. Especially, the critical technology of the construction IT tools is the BIM (Building Information Modeling) which integrates and controls the construction information by modeling the structures in the virtual environment. Many domestic studies have been performed for developing various BIM tools and these have been demonstrated through a successful case study. However, because of the most studies focused on architecture and major construction firms, small construction firms are very difficult to utilize a BIM tool without a verification of it. To resolve these problems, this study suggests performance indicators to quantitatively assess the utilization of 4D CAD which is one of the representative BIM tools by BSC (Balanced Score Card). This performance indicator will be used as a measurement for applying IT tools in Construction Project.

한국 제조기업의 유연성전략, 생산활동기법과 성과측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flexibility Strategy, Manufacturing Methods and Performance Measurement of Korean Manufacturing Companies)

  • Flexibility is a competitive weapon in the changing environment. In order to pursue the flexibility, Korean manufacturing companies must define the flexibility dimension clearly, build the appropriate manufacturing infrastructures and measure the right flexibility performance indicators. This paper found out as follows. First, Korean manufacturing companies' flexibility strategy groups were formed three types. They are flexibility superior group, middle flexibility group and flexibility inferior group. Second, when different types of flexibility strategy group measured their performances, the degree of importance of flexibility performance indicators were different among groups. Third, when different types of flexibility strategy group were pursued, the different manufacturing methods such as product/process design technology, analysis technology, production system management technology and non technological factors were used. Lastly, when different types of flexibility strategy group were pursued, the actual flexibility performances were different among groups.

Using Analytic Network Process to Establish Performance Evaluation Indicators for the R&D Management Department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry

  • The high-tech industry is the economic lifeline for Taiwan. Its characteristics are short product life cycle, rapid changes in the market, and a high obsolescence rate for new products. Under globalization, the high-tech industry has adopted Information Technology (IT) to shorten the manufacturing process, reduce costs and conduct product research and development (R&D) to increase the core competence of enterprises and achieve the goal of sustainable operations. Enterprises should actively strengthen their integration with internal and external resources and lead in R&D management to increase industrial operating performance. Effectively managing operations and R&D management evaluation in Taiwan's High-tech Industry has become a critical subject. This study adopted 4 major Balanced Scorecard (BSC) perspectives to establish the Total Performance Evaluation Indicators for the R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) was applied to evaluate the overall performance of the R&D management department. The research framework is divided into 2 phases. The first phase is combined with the 4 major perspectives, Financial, Customer, Internal Business Process and Learning and Growth, as the related indicators for each measurement perspective. The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) were selected using Factor Analysis to identify the key factor from the complicated indicators. The relationship between the characteristics of each BSC's evaluation perspective is dependence and feedback. This study applied ANP to conduct the calculation and adjustment of correlation between each KPI, and determine on their relative weights for the objective KPI. The "Financial Perspective" for R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry focused on the budget achievement rate of R&D management. The weight indicator value is (0.05863). The "Customer Perspective" focused on problem-solving satisfaction. The weight value of this indicator is (0.17549). The "Internal Business Process Perspective" focused on the quantity and quality of R&D. The weight value of this indicator is (0.13506). The "Learning and Growth Perspective" focused on improving competence in the research personnel's professional techniques. The weight value of this indicator is (0.02789). From the total weighting indicators, the order of the Performance Indicators for the R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry is: (1) Customer Perspective; (2) Internal Business Process Perspective; (3) Financial Perspective; and (4) Learning and Growth Perspective.

BIM 프로세스 성숙도 측정 모델의 평가항목에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation Items of BIM Process Maturity Measurement Model)

  • Lately, the management of domestic BIM performance is quite lacking, as the evaluation and management data from successful cases of BIM implementation both on projects and in companies, and related effects (time, cost and other physical gains) are not well kept for future use in BIM development. In order to overcome the above obstacles, a systematic approach to evaluating BIM adoption with focus on particular elements like BIM implementation environment and processes, and the physical factors yielded by BIM, is necessary. In this study, objective and detailed assessment indicators and weights that are appropriate for the domestic situation were derived through research for purposes of developing a web-based BIM maturity measurement program that is tailor-made for the Korean construction atmosphere. Through a company's self-maturity measurement, excellent quality of BIM deliverables and output can be achieved and managed. Furthermore, the domestic BIM capacity can gradually increase since design firms' BIM capability can be judged during procurement basing on measurement indicators.

  • 본 연구는 선행연구들에서 주로 설문조사를 통해 선정된 건설기업의 KPI들이 실제로도 그 실효성이 있는 것인지를 확인하고, 이 과정에서 중소건설기업의 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 해결해야 할 문제점들이 무엇인지 파악하기 위해 실증자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 중소건설기업은 미래성장을 위한 투자가 상대적으로 부족하며 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서는 이를 보완해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 선행연구들에서 설문조사에 의한 문헌적인 방법을 통해 선정한 주요 KPI의 대부분이 실증적 자료를 이용한 분석을 통해서도 실효성이 있는 성과평가지표라는 점이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 중소건설기업의 경쟁력 강화 방안과 기존 선행연구들에서 설문조사를 통해 문헌적으로 도출된 건설기업 경영성과지표의 실효성에 대하여 실증분석을 통해 연구를 수행 했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

BSC/DEA를 활용한 기업 연구개발 프로젝트 성과평가 (Performance Evaluation of Private R&D Projects using BSC/DEA)

  • This paper proposes a R&D project performance measurement model for private firms combining balanced scorecard (BSC) and data envelopment analysis (DEA). The efficiency of R&D projects is measured in terms of each of the three perspectives of BSC by using DEA : the internal process perspective (DEA-P), the customer perspective (DEA-C), and the financial perspective (DEA-F). The performance indicators of the three perspectives of BSC are considered as outputs of the corresponding DEA models. To provide strategic implications for R&D planning, we also propose the R&D project performance matrices composed of two different types of efficiency dimensions. The proposed model is expected to be fruitfully utilized for R&D performance measurement of private firms.

동태적 역량을 고려한 2단계 성과측정시스템 설계 및 적용 (Design and Application of Two-Stage Performance Measurement System Considering Dynamic Capabilities)

  • The dynamic capabilities of sensing market signals, creating new opportunities and reconfiguring resources and capabilities to new opportunities in a rapidly changing economic environment determines the competitiveness of the enterprise to create added value and survival. This study conceptualized a two-stage performance measurement framework based on the casual model of resource (input)-process-performance (output). We have developed a 'Process capability index' that reflect the dynamic capabilities factors as a key intermediary product linking resource inputs and performance outputs in enterprise performance measurement. The process capability index consists of four elements : manpower (level of human resource), operation productivity, structure and risk management. The DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model was applied to the developed performance indicators to analyze the branch office performance of a telecom company. Process capability efficiency (stage 1) uses resource inputs to reach a certain level of process capabilities. In performance result efficiency (stage 2), the process capabilities are used to generate sales revenues and subscribers. The two-stage DEA model derives intermediate output values that optimize the individual stages simultaneously. Some branch offices in the telecom company have focused on process capability efficiency or some other branch offices focused on performance result efficiency. Positioning map using two-stage efficiency decomposition and benchmarking can help identify the sources of inefficiencies and visualize strategic directions for performance optimization. Applications of two-stage DEA in conjunction with the case study that are meaningfully used in performance measurement areas have been scarce. In particular, this paper has the contribution to present a new performance measurement model considering the organization theory, the dynamic capabilities.

중소기업의 성과평가를 위한 BSC 구축에 관한 사례연구 - I사를 중심으로 (A Case Study on the BSC Development of a Small and Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprise for Performance Evaluation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 부산광역시에 있는 중소 제조기업인 I사를 중심으로 중소기업에 적합하고 경영환경에 맞는 BSC를 구축하는 것으로, 다른 중소기업들이 이 사례연구를 통해 BSC 구축시 거쳐야 하는 중요한 과정과 각 과정별로 중요한 내용을 참고할 수 있도록 하였으며 BSC가 구축된 이후 기업에 접목하는 과정에서 발생하는 문제점에 대해서 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 수요시장의 환경변화에 따라 주요 사업부문이었던 RDS에서 새로운 SSS로의 사업전략의 변화를 목표로, 사례기업에 맞는 BSC를 구축하였다. 전사적 차원 뿐 아니라 각 팀별로 전략체계도를 작성하고 각 관점별 전략목표, 핵심성공요인 및 핵심성과지표를 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있도록 하였다. 마지막으로 기업전체 뿐 아니라 각 팀별로 스마트차트를 작성하여 관점별 점수와 전략목표, 핵심성공요인, 핵심성과지표의 가중치와 목표점수, 실적, 달성율까지 쉽게 계산할 수 있는 중소기업 맞춤형 성과평가시스템을 구축하였다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의를 가진다.

  • 기업 활동에 있어 성과측정은 경영성과의 평가, 인적 자원의 관리 및 전략이행의 중요한 도구로 사용된다. 기업의 경영성과 측정은 당기 순이익, 투자수익률, 자기자본 이익률과 같이 단순히 재무적 관점에서 측정할 수 있으나 기업의 내부프로세스나 정보화와 같은 재무외적 성과를 측정할 수 없어 부족함이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내의 시공능력순위 30위 이내의 건설기업에 적용 가능한 핵심 성과지표(KPI:Key Performance Indicators)를 도출하였으며, 기존의 연구와 기업 전문가의 설문을 반영하여 보다 현실적인 기업의 경영을 반영하며 기존의 연구와 차별된 결과를 도출하였다.

  • IT비즈니스의 전략적 연계가 강화됨에 따라 금융서비스에서 IT의존도는 높아지고 있다. 안전하고 신뢰된 금융서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 지속적인 정보보호활동을 수행해야 하며, 이에 관한 조직의 정보보호 업무성과 측정은 의사결정 및 경영지원 측면에서 유용하다. 본 논문은 정보보호관리체계(K-ISMS)와 금융IT 부문 정보보호 업무 모범규준의 평가기준을 기반으로 핵심성공요인(CSF, Critical Success Factor)과 핵심성과지표(KPI, Key Performance Indicator)를 도출한다. 이는 정보보호정책 준수에 유의한 영향을 주는 핵심성과지표를 판별하는 논리적 근거를 제공하며, 금융IT 정보보호 역량을 강화하기 위한 정책을 수립하기 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.
