A shallow semantic parsing system analyzes the relationship that a syntactic constituent of the sentence has with a predicate. It identifies semantic arguments representing agent, patient, instrument, etc. of the predicate. In this study, we propose a two-phase shallow semantic parsing model which consists of the identification phase and the classification phase. We first find the boundary of semantic arguments from partial syntactic parsing results, and then assign appropriate semantic roles to the identified semantic arguments. By taking the sequential two-phase approach, we can alleviate the unbalanced class distribution problem, and select the features appropriate for each task. Experiments show the relative contribution of each phase on the test data.
Objectives : There are many reports on attempts to minimize complications and recurrences of tumor by several techniques for benign parotid tumor resection. The purpose of our study is to find out meaning of procedure without identifying main trunk of facial nerve compared to conventional parotidectomy. Material and Methods : We classified 121 patients into two groups. Patients who were underwent superficial parotidectomy or partial superficial parotidectomy were included in idenitification group(IF group), and patients who were treated with conservative partial parotidectomy or extracapsular dissection without identification of main trunk of facial nerve were included in the non-identification group(NF group). We analyzed the location of tumor, operation time, mean drainage duration, complication, recurrence and cosmetic satisfaction in two groups. Results : NF group has shorter operation time and mean drainage duration than IF group, however there is no significant difference in complication and recurrence between two surgical techniques. The Cosmetic satisfaction was similar between two groups. Conclusion : Limited parotidectomy without finding main trunk of facial nerve may be reliable option for benign parotid tumors because it has advantages such as less operation time and mean drainage duration without increasing in recurrence or complication rate.

The purpose of this study was to estimate the identification of thermophilic hacterial with fermentation of pig manure. To identify the characters of thermophilic bacteria related to fermentation at a high temperature condition, we selected 28 different kinds of original settling thermophilic bacteria that were sampled at different 23 areas. They were distributed 1$1{\times}10^5{\sim}10^8CFU$ at medium and the enzyme activity at $55^{\circ}C$ incubation condition, especially cellulase and a-amylase, were higher than those of $30^{\circ}C$. Partial sequencing data for 165 rDNA region were obtained from 28 samples representing 15 different genera. Bacillus subcilis, one of those bacteria, has endodermic spores at high fermented condition.
Component-based Development (CBD) is gaining popularity as an effective reuse technology. Especially commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components are mainly for inter-organizational reuse, rather than intra-organizational reuse. One of the essential tasks in CBD is to reuse the right components that provide the functionality and interface required by component consumers. If candidate components provide a limited applicability and customizability, a component consumer cannot reuse the components in application development. To resolve this partial matching problem, we need smart connectors that fill the gap between candidate components and the specification of components required. Previous researches about smart connector describe only connector types to resolve mismatch problems. However, previous researches do not address the identification and design method to resolve the problems. In this paper, we suggest taxonomy of various mismatch problems to identify partial match problems between requirements of the application and components. We identify smart connector types and suggest a systematic process for designing smart connectors using the taxonomy. Therefore, components that have the problems can be used to develop applications.
Acetes chinensis is an economically important shrimp that belongs to the Sergestidae family; following fermentation, A. chinensis' economic value, however, is low in China, and much of the catch in China is exported to Korea at a low price, thus leading to potential false labeling. For this reason, we developed a simple method to identify A. chinensis' origin using allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Ten single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified from partial (i.e., 570 bp) DNA sequence analysis of the mitochondrial 16s rRNA gene in 96 Korean and 96 Chinese individual shrimp. Among 10 SNP sites, four sites were observed in populations from both countries, and two sites located in the middle with SNP sites at their 3'-ends were used to design allele-specific primers. Among the eight internal primers, the C220F primer specific to the Chinese A. chinensis population amplified a DNA fragment of 364 bp only from that population. We were able to identify the A. chinensis population origin with 100% accuracy using multiplex PCR performed with two external primers and C220F primers. These results show that the 16S rRNA gene that is generally used for the identification of species can be used for the identification of the origin within species of A. chinensis, which is an important finding for the fair trade of the species between Korea and China.
Recently, developments of process monitoring system in order to detect and diagnose process abnormalities has got the spotlight in process systems engineering. Normal data obtained from processes provide available information of process characteristics to be used for modeling, monitoring, and control. Since modern chemical and environmental processes have high dimensionality, strong correlation, severe dynamics and nonlinearity, it is not easy to analyze a process through model-based approach. To overcome limitations of model-based approach, lots of system engineers and academic researchers have focused on statistical approach combined with multivariable analysis such as principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares (PLS), and so on. Several multivariate analysis methods have been modified to apply it to a chemical process with specific characteristics such as dynamics, nonlinearity, and so on.This paper discusses about missing value estimation and sensor fault identification based on process variable reconstruction using dynamic PCA and canonical variate analysis.

In this study, an FRF-based structural damage identification method (SDIM) is proposed for plate structures. The present SDIM is derived from the partial differential equation of motion of the damaged plate, in with damages we characterized by using a damage distribution function. The appealing features of the present SDIM include the followings. First, the modal data of the damaged structure are not required. Secondly, a sufficient number of information can be generated from the measured FRFs by simply varying excitation frequencies and response measurement points. The feasibility of the present SDIM is verified through some numerically simulated damage identification tests.
Information identification with image data by means of low-level visual features has evolved as a challenging research domain. Conventional text-based mapping of image data has been gradually replaced by content-based techniques of image identification. Feature extraction from image content plays a crucial role in facilitating content-based detection processes. In this paper, the authors have proposed four different techniques for multiview feature extraction from images. The efficiency of extracted feature vectors for content-based image classification and retrieval is evaluated by means of fusion-based and data standardization-based techniques. It is observed that the latter surpasses the former. The proposed methods outclass state-of-the-art techniques for content-based image identification and show an average increase in precision of 17.71% and 22.78% for classification and retrieval, respectively. Three public datasets - Wang; Oliva and Torralba (OT-Scene); and Corel - are used for verification purposes. The research findings are statistically validated by conducting a paired t-test.
Computational analysis of partial rpoB gene sequence (777 bp) was done in this study to identify B. anthracis and its closely related species B. cereus and B. thuringiensis. Sequence data including 17 B. anthracis strains, 9 B. cereus strains, and 7 B. thuringiensis strains were obtained by searching databases. Those sequences were aligned and used for other computational analysis. B. anthracis strains were identificated by in silico restriction enzyme digestion. B. cereus and B. thuringiensis were not segregated by this method. Those sequencing and BLAST search were required to distinguish the two. In actual identification tests, B. anthracis strains could be identified by PCR-RFLP, and B. cereus and B. thuringiensis strains were distinguished by BLAST search with reliable e-value. In this study fast and accurate method for identifying three Bacillus species, and flow chart of identification were developed.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of interpersonal face-to-face offline on identification-based trust and reciprocity norm in online world, and the effect of identification-based trust and reciprocity norm on the intention and behavior of sharing information in online world. To understand the moderating role, the importance of information was established as a moderating variable, and an empirical analysis was conducted, focusing on the undergraduate. The results of this study are as follows. It was found that interpersonal face-to-face in offline world affects identification-based trust and reciprocity norm in online positively. A reciprocity norm of identification-based trust and reciprocity norm in online world affected by interpersonal face-to-face in offline world has a positive effect on the intention and behavior of sharing information in online, but showed that identification-based trust does not affect them significantly. And reciprocity norm has significant relationship with information sharing behavior through the intention to share information. It was found to be a partial moderating effect of importance of information on the relationship among the reciprocity norm and the intention and behavior of sharing information.
