B-스플라인 곡면기법을 이용한 압출금형 곡면의 표현방법에 관한 연구 (Investigation on the Description Method of Extrusion Die Surface using B-Spline Surface Scheme)

  • To construct the extrusion die surface, a B-Spline surface scheme based on the cubic B-Spline curve interpolation method is proposed in the present work. The inlet and outlet profiles are described with B-Spline curves by using the centripetal method for uniform parameterization. The interior control points of surface are generated using the derivative characteristics of B-Spline curve. A complete B-Spline surface is constructed by using appropriate coordinate transformation and knot deletion. In the present study, a quantitative measure for the control of surface is suggested by introducing the tangential vector and inclination angles at the inlet and outlet sections. To verify the validity of the proposed method, automatic surface generation is carried out for the various types of extrusion die surface.

  • In order to generate the extrusion die surface of non-symmetric H- and U-shaped sections, an automatic surface construction method based on B-spline surface and scalar field theory is proposed in this study. The isothermal lines and stream lines designed in the scalar field are introduced to find the control points which are used in constructing B-spline surfaces. Intersected points between the isothermal lines and stream lines are used to construct B-spline surfaces. The inlet and outlet profiles are precisely described with B-spline curves by using the centripetal method for uniform parameterization. The extrusion die surface is generated by using the cubic curve interpolation in the u- and v-directions.   • In order to prevent the interface delamination of an plastic IC package in the infrared (IR) soldering process, we tried to reduce stress by parameterization, sensitivity analysis and unconstraint optimization. The design variables of dimensions and material properties are determined among all the possible variables from the parametric study. Their optimized values are determined by applying the unconstraint optimization to the parameterized IC package. The maximum von-Mises stress value decreases greatly by optimum design.

  • This work is concerned with the estimation of output derivatives and their use for the design of robust controller for linear systems with systems uncertainties due to modeling errors and disturbance. It is assumed that a nominal transfer function model and Quantitative bounds for system uncertainties are known. The developed control schemes are shown to achieve regulation of the system output and ensures boundedness of the system states without imposing any structural conditions on system uncertainties and disturbances. Output derivative estimation is first conducted trough restructuring of the plant in a specific parameterization. They are utilized for constructing robust nonlinear high-gain feedback controller of a SMC(Sliding Mode Controller) Type. The performances of the developed controller are evaluated and shown to be effective and useful through simulation study.

  • This paper presents the system modeling, analysis, and controller design and implementation for a rotational inverted pendulum system(RIPS), which is an under-actuated system and has the problem of unattainable angular velocity state. A sliding mode controller using the parameterization of both the hyperplane and the compensator fur output feedback is applied to the RIPS. Also, to improve the performance of the control system, a disturbance observer which estimates the disturbance, parameter variation, and some modeling errors of RIPS with less computational effort is used together. The results of simulation and experiment show that the proposed control system has superior performance for disturbance rejection and regulation at certain initial conditions.

Robust Control for Rotational Inverted Pendulums Using Output Feedback Sliding Mode Controller and Disturbance Observer

  • This paper presents a system modeling, controller design and implementation for a rotational inverted pendulum system (RIPS), which is an under-actuated system and has the problem of unattainable velocity state.   • This paper considers a robust adaptive stabilization problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems which include an unknown virtual control coefficient, an unknown constant parameter, and a time-varying disturbance whose bound is unknown, We propose a new estimator for an un-known virtual control coefficient and present a robust adaptive backstepping design procedure which results in a smooth state feedback control law, a new two-dimensional parameter update law, and a $C^1$ Lyapunov function which is positive definite and proper.

  • To construct the wind map for mainland Korea, the well designed atmospheric numerical modeling system was used. Three nest domains were construced with spatial resolutions between $10{\times}10km$ up to the hightest resolution of $1{\times}1km$. Parameterization schemes like MRF(PBL), RRTM(radiation), Grell(cumulus) were chosen since wind data simulated is in better agreement with the observed wind data. High-resolution atmospheric numerical model was applied to simulate the motion of the atmosphere and to produce the wind map around the South Korea. The results of several simulations were improved compare to the past system, because of using the fine geographical data, such as terrain height and land-use data, and the meteorological data assimilation.
