지하수의 오존과 UV처리가 탁주의 품질특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ozone and UV Treatment of Groundwater on the Quality of Wine)

  • 일반적으로 탁주 생산 공정에서 오존을 처리하는 경우는 용기 및 음용수의 소독을 주목적으로 하고 있다. 그러나 지하수 등에 오존을 이용하는 경우, 오존의 산화반응으로 탁주의 품질 에 긍정적인 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며 담금 공정에서의 오존처리효과를 분석한 결과, 오존 처리시 수중의 오존의 오존농도가 1 ppm이하의 규정을 유지한 상태에서 오존주입량을 증가시키게 되면 오존 증가와 함께 에탄올의 생성량은 1차 담금 4일 째부터 20%이상 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 오존을 단독으로 처리하는 경우보다 오존과 자외선을 동시에 처리하는 경우에 에탄올 생성량은 10%이상 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 오존의 주입시간에 따라 에탄올 발생량이 다르게 나타났으며 오존주입시간을 4시간 처리한 경우가 미 오존 처리한 경우와 비교하여 수중의 경도는 85%이상 감소되며 전기전도도는 50%이상 증가하였지만 수중의 산소농도는 1.2 ppm 미만으로 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 지하수의 오존주입시간별 발효일 경과에 따라 에탄올 발생량을 비교해 본 결과 담금 첫날과 비교하여 담금일 4일후 최대 300% 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 실험결론을 토대로 1차 담금에서 당의 생성량을 비교해 본 결과, 오존단독 처리와 오존과 자외선을 동시에 처리한 경우와 비교하였을 경우에 당의 생성량은 35%이상 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently, introduction of Advanced water treatment facilities has been increasing due to serious domestic water pollution. Ozone is a strong oxidizing materials in the advanced water treatment facilities. However, due to such a strong oxidation, Ozone eroded waterproofing/corrosion on the concrete surface and caused performance degradation. Therefore, in this study, permeability experiment of metal spraying system by concrete surface treatment was conducted.

  • The wastewater treatment for the purpose of water-recycling was performed using Fenton's & ozone's methods. These methods were used to increase the treatment efficiency of textile wastewater and to search for the optimal operating conditions. The optimal conditions by Fenton process were determined so that input amounts of $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ and $H_2O_2$ were $7.2mM/{\;}{\ell}$ and $49.0m/{\;}{\ell}$ respectively, treatment by ozone process had 92% removal efficiency at ozone concentration of 9.73g/min and $130mM/{\;}{\ell}$ of $H_2O_2$.

  • The purpose of study were to research the characteristics of water variation adding humic acids to distilled water after ozonation. Upon investigating pH variation with contact time after providing distilled water+air, distilled water+ozone and distilled water-humic acid-air in reactor, it reduced after 60 minute in inletting air and in spite of short contact time did suddenly in inletting ozone. TOC and UV-254 continued to increase with contact time of ozone and humic acids. $NH^{4+}-N$ did slowly increase or decrease after constant contact time of ozone, because $NH^{4+}-N$ was converted into $No^3-N$ by ozone. T-N did suddenly increase after 90minute, but T-P did rarely fluctuate for total experiment. Total 30 species of organic matter were detected by GS/MSD, but 14 species did really tend to increase except for matter identified in distilled water and blank test. Humic acids generated $aliphatic{\cdot}aromatic$ hydrocarbon, alcohol and amine etc., and did various matters without inflow course of contaminants.

  • Ozone(O$_3$), one of best-known toxic air pollutant, act as a strong oxidant. It is possible that skins exposed to the air can be easily damaged by such oxidative air pollutants. Therefore, in the present study, anti-oxidative effects of natural product. on $O_2$ㆍ and ㆍOH were investigated by EPR. Ozone caused protein damage and lipid oxidation, in HaCaT and B16F10 leading ultimately to programmed cell death. It also reduced the level of antioxidant molecules including ascorbic acid and tocopherol in stratum comeum. However, antioxidants originated from natural products could protect skin from these products could protect skin from these oxidative damages. We concluded that eight natural extracts including Rosa davurica, Ligularia sibrica, Green tea acted as strong antioxidants against ozone.

  • An ozone condensation system is evaluated from the viewpoint of an ozone supplier for oxide thin film growth. Ozone is condensed by the adsorption method and its concentration is analyzed by three methods; ultraviolet absorption, thermal decomposition and Q-mass analyzing methods. Thermal decomposition method is found to be available to the concentration evaluation from dilution to highly condensed ozone. The highest ozone concentration condensed by the adsorption method is evaluated to be 97 mol%

Functionalization of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube by Treatment with Dry Ozone Gas for the Enhanced Dispersion and Adhesion in Polymeric Composites

  • A method of functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) at room temperature using dry ozone gas is described. The resulting MWNT were characterized by Fourier transform infrared, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. Combined to these analyses and solubility in liquids, it could be concluded that the dry ozone gas exposure introduces polar functional groups such as carboxylic groups to MWNT similar to acidic modification of MWNT. Particularly, the stable dispersion of MWNT in water after ozone treatment above a critical level could be obtained, implying potential bio-application. The hydrophilic functional groups on the MWNT introduced by ozone oxidation were helpful in improving the interaction with functional groups in PA6 such as $-NH_2$ and -CONH- resulting in improved mechanical properties.

  • Water and wastewater treatment has always been a challenging task due to the continuous increase in amount and the change in characteristics of the poorly biodegradable and highly colored organic matters, as well as harmful micro-organisms. Advanced techniques are therefore required to successfully remove these pollutants from water before reuse or discharge to receiving water bodies. Application of ozone, which is a powerful oxidant and disinfectant, alone or as part of advanced oxidation process depends on the complex kinetic reactions and the mass transfer of ozone involved. Micro- and nano bubbling considerably improves gas dissolution compared to conventional bubbles and hence mass transfer. It can also intensify generation of hydroxyl radical due to collapse of the bubbles, which in turn facilitates oxidation reaction under both alkaline as well as acidic conditions. This review gives the overview of application of micro- and nano bubble ozonation for purification of water and wastewater. The drawbacks of previously considered techniques and the application of the hydrodynamic ozonation to synthetic aqueous solutions and various industrial wastewaters are systematically reviewed.

열처리 및 오존산화처리를 이용한 축산폐수처리장 폐활성오니의 재활용 (Reuse of Waste Activated Sludge from Livestock Wastewater Treatment Process using Thermal and Ozone Oxidation Treatment Method)

  • 축산폐수처리과정에서 발생하는 부산물인 폐활성오니를 농업용으로 재활용하기 위하여 유효성분을 분석하고, 재활용을 위한 처리기법으로 열처리와 오존산화처리에 대한 실험을 수행하였다. 폐활성오니의 성상분석 결과로부터 고형분의 질량백분율로 탄소 44.25%, 질소 8.43%, 인 1.35%로 농업용 비료로서의 가치를 확인하였다. 잠재 병원성균의 정량분석결과로부터 적절한 처리방법에 의한 병원성균 비활성화의 필요성을 확인하였다. 열처리방법의 TSS, COD, SCOD, 병원성균 처리효율을 분석하여 최적 운전조건으로 $70^{\circ}C$, 10 min으로 결정하였다. 오존산화 처리후의 TSS, COD, SCOD, 병원성균 처리효율을 분석한 결과 최적 운전조건으로 $0.6L\;O_3/L\;solution{\cdot}min$, 60 min을 결정하였다. 최적 운전조건의 열처리방법과 오존산화방법의 처리효율 비교분석으로 열처리방법의 우수한 병원성균 비활성화 효과와 오존산화방법의 상대적으로 우수한 고형분 감량 및 유기물 용해효과를 검증하였다. 하지만 두 방법이 가지는 단점으로 인하여 폐활성오니 재활용을 위한 효과적 처리를 위해서는 다른 처리방법과의 조합이 바람직하다.
