대용변수를 이용한 상태기반 보전정책의 설계 (Design of a Condition-based Maintenance Policy Using a Surrogate Variable)

  • Purpose: We provide a condition-based maintenance policy where a surrogate variable is used for monitoring system performance. We constructed a risk function by taking into account the risk and losses accompanied with erroneous decisions. Methods: Assuming a unique degradation process for the performance variable and its specific relationship with the surrogate variable, the maintenance policy is determined. A risk function is developed on the basis of producer's and consumer's risks accompanied with each decision. With a strategic safety factor considered, the optimal threshold value for the surrogate variable is determined based on the risk function. Results: The condition-based maintenance is analyzed from the point of risk. With an assumed safety consideration, the optimal threshold value of the surrogate variable is provided for taking a maintenance action. The optimal solution cannot be obtained in a closed form. An illustrative numerical example and solution is provided with a source code of R program. Conclusion: The study can be applied to situation where a sensor signal is issued if the system performance begins to degrade gradually and reaches eventually its functional failure. The study can be extended to the case where two or more performance variables are connected to a same surrogate variable. Also estimation of the distribution parameters and risk coefficients should be further studied.

  • This paper presents a preventive maintenance model for determining the preventive replacement period of a system in which a failure rate is affected by the cumulative damage of fault and inspection. Especially, the failure rate function is considered to be a function of the cumulative damage of the fault and inspection time. Types of replacement considered are preventive replacement and failure replacement. Failure rate and expected cost function between replacement are derived. An optimal policy is obtained that minimizes the average cost per unit time for preventive replacement, failure replacement, inspection and repair.

Optimal Number of Failures before Group Replacement under Minimal Repair

  • In this paper, a group replacement policy based on a failure count is analysed. For a group of identical repairable units, a maintenance policy is performed with two phase considerations: a repair interval phase and a waiting interval phase. Each unit undergoes minimal repair at failure during the repair interval. Beyond the interval, no repair is made until a number of failures. The expected cost rate expressions under the policy is derived. A method to obtain the optimal values of decision variables are explored. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the results.

  • In general, the characteristics of components which consist of multi component system can not be the same. This paper proposes a maintenance model of multi-component system according to the characteristics of each component. In this paper multi-component system is divided into three components-critical component, major component and minor component, respectively. Then we determine the optimal age replacement time of the system which minimizes total maintenance cost. Numerical examples are shown to illustrate the result.

  • This paper deals with the control of system with controlled jump Markov disturbances. A such formulation was used by Boukas to model the planning production and maintenance of a FMS with failure machines. The optimal control problem of systems with controlled jump Markov process is addressed. This problem describes the planning production and preventive maintenance of production systems. The optimality conditions in both cases finite and infinite horizon, are derived. A numerical example is presented to validate the proposed results.

  • Recently the study related to life cycle cost analysis of railway structure consisted of a complex is proceeded covering several range, which is considering the methodology of efficiency and rationalization for maintenance and analysing long-time behavior of the structure of looking at standpoint from asset management and safety. But LCCA(life cycle cost analysis) of railway structure was almost impossible as there were not anything datum for maintenance plan, such as maintenance periods related to each of components(painting and corrosion of steel, and cracking of elements, etc)and maintenance proportion, despite of its 100-year history. According, for collecting data related to railway truss bridge, bridge record cards and testing safety papers, and researching question, etc are surveyed and classified for LCC Analysis. Especially, LCC assessment on the side of assets-maintenance considering about initial cost, maintenance cost, and indirect cost is constructed. Maintenance period and complementary measure rate are very important in maintenance. To decide maintenance period, Baysian updating method is applied.

  • This study is intended to propose optimal maintenance organization to process industry, especially paper industry by analyzing maintenance organization of paper industry and finding out how the maintenance organization and the allocation of maintenance resources influence maintenance performance indices here in this paper. In this study, we analyzed the maintenance organization in detail and studied correlation between maintenance organization and equipment failure rate for the major top six domestic paper-mills in market share. According to the study, the maintenance organization has been changed in accordance with its business environment, but its performance was different by both the allocation way of maintenance resources and the structure of maintenance organization. For paper industry, whose availability is the most important key index that determines the success or failure of a business, it turns out to be the most effective strategy that operates the combination maintenance combined central maintenance with area maintenance and allocates the maintenance resources mainly for preventive maintenance. In particular, it turned out to be that there is the strong positive correlation between the rate of shift workers and the equipment failure rate. The results of this study is not limited to paper industry, but expandable to other industry. So it is expected that the direction of the maintenance organization would be given to the company which is struggling to improve its availability.

자주포 경제수명 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determination for the Economic Life-Time of a Self-Propelled Artillery)

  • This research paper deals with the problem of determining the optimal life time in terms of economical sense for a self-propelled artillery. Equivalent Annual Cost Method(EACM) is used to evaluate the optimal life time, based on the acquisition cost, and the operation and maintenance cost. It is assumed that the operation and maintenance cost includes the costs for spare parts, petroleum and ammunition for training. From the result of this study, the optimal life time for a self-propelled artillery is between 13.9 years and 16.1 years with 95% confidence interval.

  • 본 논문에서는 혼합보증기간이 있는 수리 가능한 시스템에 대하여 보증기간이 종료된 이후의 교체정책을 고려한다. 이러한 교체정책은 보증기간이 재생되는 재생혼합보증과 재생되지 않는 비재생혼합보증에 대하여 고려되며, 최적의 교체정책을 설정하기 위 해서 단위 시간당 기대비용을 사용한다. 재생혼합보증과 비재생혼합보증이 있는 시스템에 대하여 소비자 관점에서의 단위 시간당 기대비용을 구하고, 이를 최소화하는 최적의 보전기간을 결정한다 그리고, 시스템의 고장시간이 와이블분포일 때 수치적 예를 통해서 제안된 최적의 교체정책을 설명한다.
