The Qualitative Study for Construction of Internet Shopping Behavior Model of Apparel (의류 상품의 인터넷 쇼핑 행동 모형 구성을 위한 질적 연구)

  • This study was fulfilled in the purpose of proposing construction strategies of Internet shopping-mall through the analysis of consumer moving line in Internet shopping-mall. This study was executed in two stages: theoretical study, qualitative study. In the theoretical study, hypothetical Internet shopping behavior model were constructed. Five internet shopping behavior types of apparel : purchase, searching purchase, prepurchase deliberation, information accumulation, opinion leadership and recreation were constructed. Next, consumer decision process were extracted from previous studies and a hypothetical internet shopping behavior model was constructed on the base of consumer decision process and Internet shopping behavior types. And then, through the qualitative study, Internet shopping behavior types were identified and hypothetical model was confirmed after adjustment. For qualitative study, 30 subjects were sampled by focus sampling and investigated by in-depth interview and observation. Seven internet shopping behavior types of apparel were found by the qualitative study: cautious purchase by price comparison, searching purchase, special low price purchase, impulse purchase, prepurchase deliberation, information accumulation and recreation-oriented. On the base of these behavior types, Internet shopping behavior model was adjusted and completed. Finally, according to the results of this study, Internet shopping construction methods that made customer's loyalty high and marketing strategy of Internet shopping-mall were proposed.

Effect of Internet Clothing Soho Mall Attributes on Attitude Toward Site and Revisit Intention: Focusing on the Difference By On- and Off-line Clothing Shopping Dependence (인터넷 의류 소호몰 속성이 사이트에 대한 태도와 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향 : 온·오프라인 의류쇼핑 비중의 차이를 중심으로)

  • In this study, the effect of Internet clothing soho mall attributes on attitude toward site and revisit intention was investigated. A total of 292 female college students participated in the experiment to explore a clothing soho mall out of 20 highly-ranked soho malls for shopping and to complete a questionnaire. In exploratory factor analysis results, five factors were generated out of 18 question items indicating clothing soho mall attributes. Among those five factors, 'product assortment and presentation' was the most important factor affecting attitude toward site and revisit intention toward a clothing soho mall. In addition, 'site construct' was another factor affecting attitude toward a clothing soho mall site specifically in the group who shops clothing more often on the Internet shops than off-line shops. Based on study results, implications and insights were discussed.

The Study on the Relationship of Logistics Service Quality, Relationship Orientation, and Customer Satisfaction for the Repurchase Intention in On-Line Shopping Mall (온라인쇼핑몰 환경에서 물류서비스품질, 고객만족, 관계지향성이 재구매의도에 영향을 미치는 관계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among logistics service quality, relationship-orientation for on-line shopping malls, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in on-line shopping malls. Based on extensive review of relevant literature, nine components of logistics service quality and six components of relationship orientation are introduced in this study. And a conceptual model is developed and four research hypotheses are empirically examined using structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that logistics service quality is positively and significantly associated with customer satisfaction, and relationship- orientation is the antecedent variable of repurchase intention in the on-line shopping mall. In conclusion, it is revealed that logistics service quality and relationship-orientation play a major role in the success of on-line shopping mall.

VMD(Visual Merchandizing) Strategy Analysis for Revitalizing Web Fashion Star shop

  • This study aims at providing comprehensive data which would be helpful to establish a web shopping mall by analyzing the structure of web fashion star shops which have recently emerged as a result of advances in digital technology and communication. For the purpose of analyzing VMD strategy used in web fashion star shop, we adopt both of the documental and empirical research methods, based on which we examine the concept of E-commerce and current business situation of web fashion star shop industry, and then analyze the main page, product category page and product detail page in a star shop featured by a male pop star within a web shopping mall. According to our analysis of the structure of web fashion star shop, in case of open market, a banner with star's image on it leads to star shop when people click on the link of the banner, and in case of independent mall, they show each star's unique style in the main page. Product category page is linked to each product detail page which presents items of various fashion coordinates, satisfying needs of consumers to follow star's trendy fashion sense.

The Comparative Study of Purchasing Characteristics of the Apparel Products Consumer using Internet Shopping Mall and the Cable TV Home Shopping (인터넷 쇼핑몰과 케이블 TV 홈쇼핑 이용자들의 의류제품 구매특성 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the reasons of this outcome by comparing the consumers purchasing characteristics of the Internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping. A questionnaire was designed for on-line survey panels residing in Korea and the period of the survey was from July 30 to August 6, 2002. 1362 questionnaires were collected and 665 were chosen. The Frequency, %, t-test, and x2-test was performed using Korean version of SPSS 10.0. The summarized results of this study are as follows: The reasons of purchasing Apparel products through Internet and Cable TV home shopping are low price, time Saving, and convenience. The Item that is purchased most often at the Internet shopping mall is casual T-shirt. In case of the cable TV home shopping, it is inner-wears. Most of the users were satisfied with the home shopping. There are significant difference in ‘inexpensiveness of price’, ‘variety of product’, ‘sufficiency of product information’, ‘easiness of searching product’, ‘security of personal information’, ‘convenience of order’ in the side of consumers satisfaction. The reason of not using the media shopping are as follows: ‘Distrust of the product’ appeared one of the main reason of not using internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping, accounting for 34.3%(Internet)/25.3%(Cable TV) of all respondents, followed by ‘absence of products(18.7%)’, In case of the cable TV home shopping, ‘lack of necessity of home shopping(24.7%)’ was the main reason.

Effect of Flow on Purchase Intension (플로우(Flow) 경험이 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the Flow experience on purchase intention. The results of this study show that (1) the purchase intention through internet is increased in proportion to the degree of cognition of users' experience. (2) The "Flow" experiences during the time of navigating internet shopping-mall sites lead to different results due to the separate motive of searching internet shopping-mall sites. (3) It should analyze the market segmentation of internet users, using Flow experience in the future based on the relationship between Flow and on-line and off-line purchase intention. (4) Finally, it should study more profoundly on "experiential" Flow and "goal-directed Flow that it has to analyze the difference in Flow experiences between separate purposes of searching internet shopping-mall sites.

Determinants Affecting the Intention to Adopt the Internet Shopping Mall (기업의 인터넷 쇼핑몰 채택의도의 결정요인)

  • This paper investigates the determinants which influence the intention to adopt the Internet shopping mall in the form of a new B2C by off-line manufacturers or service providers in their design of a channel. The current study purports to provide managerial suggestions for a firm that sets up channel design strategies, with the Internet channel considered. Research findings are as follows: First, the intention to adopt the Internet shopping mall increases as a firm's relative benefits are perceived higher; second, as organizational readiness increases, the intention to adopt the Internet shopping mall increases; third, the intention to adopt the Internet shopping mall decreases as the level of perceived barriers on the Internet increases, and fourth, as the level of perceived social/organizational pressures is higher, the intention to adopt the Internet shopping mall increases. In addition, this paper presents theoretical and practical Implications, given the limits of the current study.

  • Typicality is usually defined as the degree to which an item is perceived to represent a category. Typicality has been a important subject in consumer behavior because it is related closely with brand preference, awareness and top of mind. The past studies about typicality have focused on brand and store in off-line environment. At the point of time internet shopping mall industry becomes mature, we can expect that most internet users are accustomed to it. So the study about typicality of internet shopping mall is timely. The antecedents and outcomes of typicality of internet shopping mall are mainly studied in this paper. Also, I investigated the influence of the type of internet shopping mall on typicality and the influence of typicality on preference and purchase intention. The followings are the results of this study. Firstly, frequency of exposure and attribute structure explained perceived typicality. Secondly, the type of internet shopping mall was found to be a moderator of the relationship between attribute structure and typicality. Thirdly, there is a positive correlation between typicality and preference. Finally, there is a positive correlation between typicality and purchase intention.

A Study on Purchase Motives at Internet Shopping Mall and Post-Purchase Satisfaction of Cosmetics (인터넷 쇼핑몰에서의 화장품 구매동기와 구매 후 만족에 관한 연구)

  • The objectives of this research were to investigate the relationships between purchase motives and post-purchase satisfaction of cosmetics at internet shopping malls, and to reveal how cosmetic purchase motives and demographic variables influence to the post-purchase satisfaction. Subjects were 202 females in Seoul who had experiences of cosmetic shopping at internet. Five dimensions of cosmetic purchase motives at internet shopping malls were derived by factor analysis: 'information provision', 'service/quality', 'time saver', 'use convenience', and 'economical efficiency'. Consumers showed relatively high cosmetic purchase motives at internet shopping malls because the prices of on-line shopping mall products were cheaper than those of off-line, and because it was easy to compare various products at internet shopping malls. The motive of 'information provision' had significant positive relationships with the satisfaction of price, quality, color, volume, and skin suitability of cosmetics. The motive of 'time saver' and 'use convenience' had positive relationships with the satisfaction of price and quality. The motives of 'service/quality' and 'use convenience' were higher in career women than in college women. The middle class consumers and the consumers who use internet more had a high 'information provision' motive in shopping cosmetics at internet. The post-purchase satisfaction of cosmetics was influenced most by the experience postscripts and next by economical efficiency, frequency of access to the internet cosmetic malls, and social class(-) in order.

  • As the number of smart phone user is increasing, the on-line shopping malls are actively taking part in mobile market, and accelerating the competition of mobile shopping market. This is a reflection of mobile shopping market growing as huge market. This thesis deals with the growth of mobile market and mobile shopping mall application regarding the clothings which occupy high ratio in mobile market. This study aims to improve customer satisfaction based on more specific customer information, and to increase the satisfaction of both company and customer by lowering the return rate.
