Influence of the DC Power on the Electrical and Optical Properties of ITO Thin Films Deposited on Nb2O5/SiO2 Buffer Layer (Nb2O5/SiO2 버퍼층위에 증착한 ITO 박막의 전기적 및 광학적 특성에 DC 파워가 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we deposited ITO thin films on buffer layer of $Nb_2O_5(8nm)/SiO_2(45nm)$ using DC magnetron sputtering method and investigated its electrical and optical properties with various DC powers(100~400 W). The surface of the ITO thin film was observed by AFM. All thin films had defected free surface such as pinholes and cracks. The thin film deposited at DC power of 200 W exhibited the smallest surface roughness of 1.431nm. As a result of electrical and optical measurements, the ITO thin film deposited at DC power of 200 W which showed the lowest resistivity of $3.03{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$. The average transmittance in the visible light region(400 to 800 nm) and the transmittance at the wavelength of 550nm were found to be 85.8% and 87.1%, respectively. The chromaticity(b*) was also a relatively good value as 2.13. The figure of merit obtained from the sheet resistance of the ITO thin film, the average transmittance in the visible light region and the transmittance at the wavelength of 550nm were the best values of $2.50{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}^{-1}$ and $2.90{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}^{-1}$ at a DC power of 200W, respectively.

  • In this paper, we prove that if K is a convex body in $E^n$ and $E_i$ and $E_o$ are inscribed ellipsoid and circumscribed ellipsoid of K respectively with ${\alpha}E_i=E_o$, then $\[({\alpha})^{\frac{n}{p}+1}\]^n{\omega}^2_n{\geq}V(K)V({\Gamma}^{\ast}_pK){\geq}\[(\frac{1}{\alpha})^{\frac{n}{p}+1}\]^n{\omega}^2_n$. Lutwak and Zhang[6] proved that if K is a convex body, ${\omega}^2_n=V(K)V({\Gamma}_pK)$ if and only if K is an ellipsoid. Our inequality provides very elementary proof for their result and this in turn gives a lower bound of the volume product for the sets of constant width.

  • In this paper, we concentrate on the uniquencess of the positive solution for the general elliptic system $\Delta$u+u($g_1$(u)-$g_2$(v))=0 $\Delta$u+u($h_1$(u)-$h_2$(v))=0 in$R_{+}$ $\times$ $\Omega$, $u\mid\partial\Omega = u\mid\partial\Omega = 0$. This system is the general model for the steady state of a competitive interacting system. The techniques used in this paper are upper-lower solutions, maximum principles and spectrum estimates. The arguments also rely on some detailed properties for the solution of logistic equations.

  • The body-tied FinFETs (bulk FinFETs) implemented on bulk Si substrate were characterized through 3-dimensional device simulation. By controlling the doping profile along the vertical fin body, the bulk FinFETs can be scaled down to sub-30 nm. Device characteristics with the body shape were also shown. At a contact resistivity of $1{\times}10^{-7}\;{\Omega}\;cm^2$, the device with side metal contact of fin source/drain showed higher drain current by about two. The C-V results were also shown for the first time.

  • We generalize several integral inequalities for analytic functions on the open unit polydisc $U^n={\{}z{\in}C^n||zj|<1,\;j=1,...,n{\}}$. It is shown that if a holomorphic function on $U^n$ belongs to the mixed norm space $A_{\vec{\omega}}^{p,q}(U^n)$, where ${\omega}_j(\cdot)$,j=1,...,n, are admissible weights, then all weighted derivations of order $|k|$ (with positive orders of derivations) belong to a related mixed norm space. The converse of the result is proved when, p, q ${\in}\;[1,\;{\infty})$ and when the order is equal to one. The equivalence of these conditions is given for all p, q ${\in}\;(0,\;{\infty})$ if ${\omega}_j(z_j)=(1-|z_j|^2)^{{\alpha}j},\;{\alpha}_j>-1$, j=1,...,n (the classical weights.) The main results here improve our results in Z. Anal. Anwendungen 23 (3) (2004), no. 3, 577-587 and Z. Anal. Anwendungen 23 (2004), no. 4, 775-782.

Serum glucose and lipid profiles according to dietary carbohydrate and lipid intake ratio in NIDDM patients (인슐린 비의존성 당뇨환자의 탄수화물과 지질섭취비율이 혈당과 지질성상에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed at the effect on serum glucose and lipid profiles according to carbohydrate / lipid intake ratio in Korean 191 NIDDM patients. Most of NIDDM patients belong to under 50-64 years. As carbohydrate intake level increased, lipid intake level decreased. The group of higher carbohydrate / lipid intake ratio shows significantly high in fasting glucose level and postprandial glucose in NIDDM patients. The higher carbohydrate / lipid intake ratio the higher dietary linoleic and $\omega$-3 fatty acid level but not in dietary $\omega$3/$\omega$6 ratio. Serum HDL decrease inhigher carbohydrate lipid intake ratio group. Serum total lipid and PUFA level decrease according to ditary total lipid intake decrease in men but not significantly different.

  • This paper assesses the two-equation turbulence models available in a commercial code, FLUENT, for heat transfer in a turbulent heated pipe flow. In case of flow under $Re_D=10,000$, Standard $\kappa-\epsilon$ and Realizable $\kappa-\epsilon$ models overpredict the Nusselt number about $20\%$ compared with the experimental correlation, and RNG $\kappa-\epsilon$ model overpredicts about $30\%$ when the two-layer zonal method is employed. When wall function method is adopted, all $\kappa-\epsilon$ models show better predictions. Standard $\kappa-\omega$ and SST $\kappa-\omega$ models have the dependency on the first grid point ($0.3). As Reynolds number becomes high, the predictions of all $\kappa-\epsilon$ and $\kappa-\omega$ models are in a good agreement with the experimental correlation.

  • Let $\pi : P \to S^4$ be a principal G-bundle over $S^4$ whose the structure group G is a compact, connected, simple Lie group. Since $\pi_3(G) = \pi_4 (BG) = Z$, we can classify the principal bundle $P_k$ over $S^4$ by the map $S^4 \to BG$ of degree k. Atiyah and Jones [2] showed that $C_k = A_k/g^b_k$ is homotopy equivalent to $\Omega^3_k G \simeq \Omega^4_k BG$ where $A_k$ is the space of the all connections in $P_k$ and $g^b_k$ is the based gauge group which consists of all base point preserving automorphisms on $P_k$. Here $\Omega^nX$ is the space of all base-point preserving continuous map from $S^n$ to X. Let $M_k$ be the space of based gauge equivalence classes of all connections in $P_k$ satisfying the Yang-Mills self-duality equations, which we call the moduli space of G instantons.

  • In the present works, we investigate the thermal characteristics on Ag/$As_{2}S_{3}$ and Ag/$As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ amorphous chalcogenide thin film structure for PMC (Programmable Metallization Cell).As the results of resistance change with the temperature on Ag/$As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ amorphous chalcogenide thin film, the resistance was abruptly dropped from the initial resistance of 1.32 M ${\Omega}$ to the saturated value of 800 ${\Omega}$ at $203^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, the resistance increased to 1.3 $M{\Omega}$ at $219^{\circ}C$.

WEYL STRUCTURES ON COMPACT CONNECTED LIE GROUPS

  • Let G be a compact connected semisimple Lie group, B the Killing form of the algebra g of G, and g the invariant metric induced by B. Then, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a left invariant linear connection D with a Weyl structure ($D,\;g,\;{\omega}$) on (G, g) to be projectively flat (resp. Einstein-Weyl). And, we also get that if a left invariant linear connection D with a Weyl structure ($D,\;g,\;{\omega}$) on (G, g) which has symmetric Ricci tensor $Ric^D$ is projectively flat, then the connection D is Einstein-Weyl; but the converse is not true. Moreover, we show that if a left invariant connection D with Weyl structure ($D,\;g,\;{\omega}$) on (G, g) is projectively flat (resp. Einstein-Weyl), then D is a Yang-Mills connection.
