  • In general, under interactive broadcasting environment, user finds additional service using top-down menu. However, user can't know that additional service provides information until retrieval has finished and top-down menu requires multi-level retrieval. This paper proposes the new method for additional service providing not using top-down menu but using object selection. For the purpose of this method, the movie of a MPEG should be synchronized with the object information(position, size, shape) and object tracking technique is required. Synchronization technique uses the Directshow provided by the Microsoft. Object tracking techniques use a motion-based tracking and a model-based tracking together. We divide object into two parts. One is face and the other is substance. Face tracking uses model-based tracking and Substance uses motion-based tracking base on the block matching algorithm. To improve precise tracking, motion-based tracking apply the temporal prediction search algorithm and model-based tracking apply the face model which merge ellipse model and color model.

  • This paper proposes an enhanced object tracking algorithm to compensate the lack of temporal information in existing particle swarm optimization based object trackers using the trajectory of the target object. The proposed scheme also enables the tracking and documentation of the location of an online updated set of distractions. Based on the trajectories information and the distraction set, a rule based approach with adaptive parameters is utilized for occlusion detection and determination of the target position. Compare to existing algorithms, the proposed approach provides more comprehensive use of available information and does not require manual adjustment of threshold values. Moreover, an effective weight adjustment function is proposed to alleviate the diversity loss and pre-mature convergence problem in particle swarm optimization. The proposed weight function ensures particles to search thoroughly in the frame before convergence to an optimum solution. In the existence of multiple objects with similar feature composition, this algorithm is tested to significantly reduce convergence to nearby distractions compared to the other existing swarm intelligence based object trackers.

  • In recent years the popularity of multi-hop wireless networks has been growing. Its flexible topology and abundant routing path enables many types of applications. However, the lack of a centralized controller often makes it difficult to design a reliable service in multi-hop wireless networks. While packet routing has been the center of attention for decades, recent research focuses on data discovery such as file sharing in multi-hop wireless networks. Although there are many peer-to-peer lookup (P2P-lookup) schemes for wired networks, they have inherent limitations for multi-hop wireless networks. First, a wired P2P-lookup builds a search structure on the overlay network and disregards the underlying topology. Second, the performance guarantee often relies on specific topology models such as random graphs, which do not apply to multi-hop wireless networks. Past studies on wireless P2P-lookup either combined existing solutions with known routing algorithms or proposed tree-based routing, which is prone to traffic congestion. In this paper, we present two wireless P2P-lookup schemes that strictly build a topology-dependent structure. We first propose the Ring Interval Graph Search (RIGS) that constructs a DHT only through direct connections between the nodes. We then propose the ValleyWalk, a loosely-structured scheme that requires simple local hints for query routing. Packet-level simulations showed that RIGS can find the target with near-shortest search length and ValleyWalk can find the target with near-shortest search length when there is at least 5% object replication. We also provide an analytic bound on the search length of ValleyWalk.

  • Using artificial neural network to use a search preference based on the user's information, the ranking of search results that will enable flexible searches can be improved. After trained in several different queries by other users in the past, the actual search results in order to better reflect the use of artificial neural networks to neural network learning. In order to change the weights constantly moving backward in the network to change weights of backpropagation algorithm. In this study, however, the initial training, performance data, look for increasing the number of lessons that can be overfitted. In this paper, we have optimized a lot of objects that have a strong advantage to apply genetic algorithms to the relevant page of the search rankings flexible as an object to the URL list on a random selection method is proposed for the study.

  • Excessive traffic of P2P applications in the limited communication environment is considered as a network bandwidth problem. Moreover, Though P2P systems search a resource in the phase of search using weakly connected systems(peers' connection to P2P overlay network is very weakly connected), it is not guaranteed to download the very peer's resource in the phase of download. In previous P2P search algorithm (1), we had adopted the heuristic peer selection method based on Random Walks to resolve this problems. In this paper, we suggested an adaptive P2P search algorithm based on the previous algorithm(1) to reform the node distribution rate which is affected in unit peer ability. Also, we have adapted the discriminative replication method based on a query ratio to reduce traffic amount additionally. In the performance estimation result of this suggested system, our system works on a appropriate point of compromise in due consideration of the direction of searching and distribution of traffic occurrence.

  • In order to strengthen objectivity and availability of oriental herb medicine, the standard formula for herbs has been attempted to set up by experimenting and documentary testing original herbs which were recorded in authorized document. The object herb medicine is Codonopsis Pilosulae Radix. The internal and external morphological standard in this study is expected to supply the search for several physiochemical reaction, biological reaction, determination of indicator material and identification of gene with basic sources in the future. The result of study is as follows; In the external shape, it was possible that herbs were distinguished according to artificial classification and that same genus-degree of relatedness among herbs could be distinguished by more precise and active observation. In the shape of real herbs, I compared current herbs in market with original herbs which were just collected or were on the course of drying. In addition, it was possible that the internal shape could be identified by using microscope after butanol series. In powder herbs, it was possible to purify the shape by microscope through maceration of natural and powder herbs. Though it was impossible to make distinction of herbs which are not current in my search contents, this search contents will be a standard for alpplying herbs in the future. Despite such a useful character, it was difficult to deal with power herbs because it was uncertain to make a standard for them on account of the crush of these tissue. Since powders shape of herbs in a few documents were regard not as the powder shapes of natural herbs but as the maceration state of them. It is suggested that we should inspect the original herbs which are not crushed yet with a microscope in order to identify crushed shape of powder herbs from now on. An Additional standard establishment including physiochemical reaction and gene research is required in order to supplement the fault of this search. As for the supplement about this search, considering that many kinds of same genus-degree of relatedness are being current now, it is necessary that each herb should he collected only after identifying and that the succeeding search of each herb should be proceeded for the regular establishment of internal and external standard.

  • Due to multidisciplinary characteristic of the Interior Design field, it has developed into complex interdisciplinary field. Therefore Interior Design field has grown and established its major trends dependent upon other related field of study. With this perspective in mind, esthetics on Interior Design has to be treated in similar manner. In modem architects or artists have defined the terminology 'object' theoretical principle where by unable to distinguish between 'object's type' and 'objects', Presently, the term 'object' became a trend word. In order to confront misconception of the idea of 'Objectification', some people definition as reflection of this complex society. In this paper, it will establish a solid groundwork for a discussion on Objectification. The initial approach will deal with Le Corbusier and esthetics, which is the center of argument. By reviewing theoretical background of the related modern art, the paper discusses about the relationship between Le Corbusier and esthetics. Subsequently, the discussion about the criterions necessary to define object is provided. This paper only suggests a methodology of analyzing a trend in Interior Design. The condition to define Objectification in Interior Design, which is a result of the reviewing process on esthetics, can be concluded as 'modeling form(transformation of morphological meaning with change wrought by causing a visual reaction)', 'mixtures and modification of materials(transformation and spontaneity through mixing materials)' and 'elements greatly influence space' of the Interior Design.

  • Three-dimensional (3D) object retrieval from user-drawn sketch queries is one of the important research issues in the areas of pattern recognition and computer graphics for simulation, visualization, and Computer Aided Design. The performance of content-based 3D object retrieval system depends on the availability of effective descriptors and similarity measures for this kind of data. In this paper, we present a sketch-based 3D object retrieval system by extracting a hybrid edge descriptor which is robust against rotation and translation. The experimental results which are based on HTML5 and WebGL show that proposed sketch-based 3D object retrieval method is very efficient to search and order the 3D objects according to user's intention.

  • This paper proposes a robust method for object tracking based on Kalman filters algorithm and covariance matrix. As a feature of the object to be tracked, covariance matrix ensures the continuity of the moving target tracking in the image frames because the covariance is addressed spatial and statistical properties as well as the correlation properties of the features, despite the changes of the form and shape of the target. However, if object moves faster than operation time, real time tracking is difficult. In order to solve the problem, Kalman filters are used to estimate the area of the moving object and covariance matrices as a feature vector are compared with candidate regions within the estimated Kalman window. The results show that the tracking rate of 96.3% achieved using the proposed method.

  • The purpose of this study is to search an effective teaching & learning program by examining how much does Excel affect on problem solving of linear function. This study was based on qualitative case study. Teaching experiment was performed for seven periods with five students in 8th graders. Pre and posts tests were attempted to analyze the changes of student's ability on problem solving of linear function. The analysis of tests were performed in category with correct process-object perspective, near process-object perspective, incorrect process-object perspective. According to this study, the subjects showed an improvement on problem solving perspective of linear function. This meant that lessons using Excel had influenced on the problem solving of linear function. We noticed that exploring the learning environment with Excel could supplement paper-and-pencil environment. We believed that Excel with an intuitive dynamic and explorative skills can play a role in scaffolding to support problem solving of linear function.
