  • Some multi echelon inventory systems carry perishable products. The value of these product reduces as the period of time they spend in the system. In this paper We derive the necessary condition to determine optimal quantity, service level for a perishable product. The systems considered consist of two echelons and carry single item. To determine the optimal order quantity, the demand is assumed to be constant, the holding costs may be different in the echelons, and it allows no shortages. I assumed the price of product decreases by negative exponential function. To determine service level, following assumptions used in the model ㆍlead time is constant. ㆍdemand is normal distribution. ㆍthe product starts to perish at the second echelon. Service level is computed for different levels of lead times and for different variance of demands and for different price functions. The experimental results indicate that the service level in cost is a function of service level in demand and perishability of product. Results of the models exhibit that perishability and the age of the product are critical to determine the lot sizing and service level.

  • The paper introduces the concept of direct product and discusses some basic facts about distant ideals. We also introduce the definition of directly indecomposable in an autometrized algebra. Furthermore, we present the concept of a subdirect product and simple autometrized algebra and its behavior. We also introduce the definition of subdirectly irreducible in an autometrized algebras. In particular, we prove that every subdirectly irreducible monoid autometrized algebra is directly indecomposable. Finally, we discuss different properties of chain autometrized algebras and introduce the representability in the autometrized algebra. We also prove that if a weak chain monoid normal autometrized l-algebra is nilradical, then it is representable.

  • This study was designed towards female college students to find out how increasing promotional marketing means are affecting the evaluation of clothing products; qualify perception, value perception, and purchase intention. 704 female college students participated in this study and SPSS package was used to analyze gathered data. The results of this study were as follows: First, the use of sales promotional means and preference had a significant difference among students demographic factors(residence, whole Income of the family, allowance, and clothing expenses). Second, qualify perception, value perception, and purchasing intention were the three factors of clothing product evaluation. Third, normal price and $30\%$ sale price clothing was perceived as high quality product and $50\%$ sale price clothing was perceived as high valued product. Purchasing intention was high when low price was suggested or promotional gift was given. Fourth, when considering product price as the factor of product evaluation, there were significant difference between the prices of product. And also, considering the product price, there were significant difference among factors of product evaluation and sales promotional means. Fifth, there was significant correlation between qualify perception, value perception, purchasing intention, usage and preference of promotional means. Further more, value perception was main factor that affected purchasing intention.

  • The reaction mechanism between azacyclopropenylidene and epoxypropane has been systematically investigated employing the second-order M${\o}$ller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) method to better understand the reactivity of azacyclopropenylidene with four-membered ring compound epoxypropane. Geometry optimization, vibrational analysis, and energy property for the involved stationary points on the potential energy surface have been calculated. It was found that for the first step of this reaction, azacyclopropenylidene can insert into epoxypropane at its C-O or C-C bond to form spiro intermediate IM. It is easier for the azacyclopropenylidene to insert into the C-O bond than the C-C bond. Through the ring-opened step at the C-C bond of azacyclopropenylidene fragment, IM can transfer to product P1, which is named as pathway (1). On the other hand, through the H-transferred step and subsequent ring-opened step at the C-N bond of azacyclopropenylidene fragment, IM can convert to product P2, which is named as pathway (2). From the thermodynamics viewpoint, the P2 characterized by an allene is the dominating product. From the kinetic viewpoint, the pathway (1) of formation to P1 is primary.

  • TThis study was designed to investigate the effect of puerh tea (Camellia sinensis LINNE) on the disposition of alcohol concentration and hangover symptoms in healthy college students. Subjects were assigned to 5 groups: empty control, normal control, puerh tea group (2%, 4%, 10%, wjv), G-P group (G company product), and B-P group (B company product). The puerh tea extract decreased the alcohol concentration in respiration, especially at the concentration of 4% (w/v). As a result of questionnaire analysis, a higher score was shown after drinking puerh tea extract than that of the usual state, but the difference had no statistical significance (P<0.05).

  • Necessary and sufficient conditions are provided under which the weighted Moore-Penrose inverse AMN exists, where A is an adjointable operator between Hilbert C-modules, and the weights M and N are only self-adjoint and invertible. Relationship between weighted Moore-Penrose inverses AMN is clarified when A is fixed, whereas M and N are variable. Perturbation analysis for the weighted Moore-Penrose inverse is also provided.

  • Let X and X* be a Banach space and its dual, respectively, and let B(X) and S(X) be the unit ball and unit sphere of X, respectively. In this paper, we study the relation between Modulus of n-dimensional U-convexity in X* and normal structure in X. Some new results about fixed points of nonexpansive mapping are obtained, and some existing results are improved. Among other results, we proved: if X is a Banach space with $U^n_{X^*}(n+1)>1-{\frac{1}{n+1}}$ where n ∈ ℕ, then X has weak normal structure.

  • Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions (DPOAEs) can be measured in the external ear canal two fold: amplitude and latency, but most DPOAE studies deal with amplitude aspects. The purpose of this study was to investigate the latency of the 2f1-f2 DPOAEs in ears with hearing losses and to see if it could be a clinically useful method to distinguish normal from abnormal ears. For this purpose, DPOAE latency were measured as a function of frequency from 1 to 8 kHz in 30 ears with conductive and sensorineural hearing losses (SNHLs). DPOAEs were recorded with Otodynamic Analyzer ILO92. Results showed that the latency decreased as the frequency increased up to 8 kHz. The mean values of DPOAE latency for ears of SNHLs were shorter at all frequencies when they were compared to the mean values of normal ears. The latency in ears of conductive hearing losses was shorter than normal ears at the selective frequencies, as well. The results support the hypothesis that latency values are shorter in pathological ears.

  • Osteoporosis is a rising problem, as the older age population is increasing due to prolongation of life. Genetic and environmental factors play key roles in bone metabolism, and diet is also an important factor. We investigated the relationship among factors affecting bone mineral density (BMD), including daily food intake and nutrient intake in men aged >50 years. Seventy-eight men, who visited the health promotion center at one of the university medical centers, were divided into normal and osteopenia groups according to their BMD. The body weight of the normal group was significantly higher than that of the osteopenia group. The osteopenia group showed significantly higher carbohydrate intake and lower calcium and vegetable calcium intake compared to those in the normal group. Lumbar spine BMD was negatively correlated with energy, fat, vitamin B1, and sodium intake in the normal group. Additionally, femoral neck BMD was negatively correlated with total animal protein, energy, protein, fat, phosphorous, iron, animal iron, potassium, vitamin B1, B2, B6, and niacin intake. Lumbar spine BMD was positively correlated with fruit, calcium, vegetable calcium, animal calcium, and vitamin C intake in the osteopenia group. Femoral neck BMD was negatively correlated with meat, dairy product, total animal protein, plant protein, animal protein, vitamin A, and cholesterol intake. A stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that several dietary factors affected BMD, including energy, fat, vitamin B1, B2, B6, niacin, sodium, protein, iron, animal iron, phosphorous, potassium, and animal protein in the normal group and zinc, calcium, vegetable calcium, animal calcium, vitamin C, fruit, protein, animal protein, meat, dairy product, carbohydrates, cholesterol, vegetables, mushrooms, and seasonings in the osteopenia group. These results indicate that adequate nutrient intake plays an important role maintaining optimum bone health in middle aged men.
