EKF를 이용한 BLDC 모터 구동기 인버터의 고장 검출 및 분리 (Fault Detection and Isolation for the Inverter of BLDC Motor Drive using EKF)

  • The inverters used to drive Brushless DC motors (BLDC) include switching devices such as FETs and the faults in FETs cause severe performance degradation in systems where a BLDC acts as actuator. This paper presents a fault detection and isolation method for the FETs of an inverter for BLDC motor control systems, which is based on the EKF (Extended Kalman filter). Firstly, an equivalent circuit model for a BLDC motor plus its inverter system was derived. Secondly, a state-space equation was established, where the on-resistance of the FETs is expressed as a state variable and the EKF equation estimates the on-resistance. If the estimated resistance differs greatly from the known value, it can be asserted that there is a fault on that FET. Thirdly, the local convergence of the established EKF was proved. Finally, through the experiments, the performance of the proposed method was verified. The results show that the on-resistance is estimated close to the value specified in the FET data sheet in normal operation, whereas the estimated resistance is a much larger value than the normal one in case an FET fault occurs. Therefore, it is confirmed that the proposed fault detection and isolation method works appropriately in real systems.

  • This paper presents the results of field tests on Voltage Management System (VMS) using hybrid voltage control, which utilizes coordinated controls of various reactive power resources such as generators, FACTS and switched shunt devices to regulate the pilot bus voltage in a voltage control area. It also includes the results of performance test on RTDS-based test bed in order to validate the VMS before installing it in Jeju power system. The main purpose of the system is adequately to regulate the reactive power reserve of key generators in a normal condition with coordination of discrete shunt devices such as condensers and reactors so that the reserves can avoid voltage collapse in emergency state in Jeju system. Field tests in the automatic mode of VMS operation are included in steady-states and transient states. Finally, by the successful operation of VMS in Jeju power system, the VMS is proved to effectively control system voltage profiles in steady-state condition, increase system MVAR reserves and improve system reliability for pre- and post-contingency.

화생방 방호시설을 위한 원격감시 패널 및 제어시스템 (Remote Monitoring Panel and Control System for Chemical, Biological and Radiological Facilities)

  • 본 논문에서는 화생방 방호시설에 사용되는 가스 차단밸브를 비롯한 각종 밸브 및 출입통제 챔버를 제어할 수 있는 원격 감시패널과 제어시스템을 개발하였다. 원격 감시패널은 화생방 통제실에 설치되는 메인 패널과 청정 기계실에 설치되는 보조 패널로 구성하였으며, 그 크기를 순수 제어용과 CCTV를 포함한 제어용으로 구분하여 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 방폭문 및 가스 차단문이 전시 및 평시에 발생할 수 있는 상황별 상태에 따라 원격 감시 및 제어가 가능하며, 평시모드와 전시모드로 구분하여 각 모드 작동시 추가적인 활성창을 통하여 제어 정보를 표시한다. 특히, 화생방 방호시설 내부의 각종 밸브 및 센서 그리고 각종 여과기의 동작상태를 주기적으로 센싱하여 각각의 기구 및 기기들의 정상동작 여부를 파악하며, 수리 및 교체가 필요할 경우 이를 원격으로 상황 근무자에게 경보함으로써 위급상황에서 각각의 기기들의 동작이상으로 인한 피해를 미연에 방지한다. 이를 통하여 화생방 상황 발생시 차단밸브 및 양압밸브의 상태에 따른 송풍기, 급기 및 배기 댐퍼의 작동, 비상 발전기 및 냉각수 펌프 등의 제어가 가능하여 재래식 무기 및 핵폭발에 의한 폭풍압의 급격한 유입으로 인한 피해를 예방할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 원자력 발전소 정상 운전시 제어 및 상태벡터 가변을 고려한 최적제어 문제가 연구되었다. 제어기 설계시 제어 및 상태벡터가 변하는 경우를 고려하여 제어기를 구성하고 운전중 상태 및 제어벡터 가변에 따라 변하는 제어기의 최적이득을 정한정 및 양한정 행렬을 이용해 구함으로서 운전중의 부하변화 및 외란에 대해 실질적인 최적제어가 되도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 정상상태의 부하변화에 대해서는 제어목적에 맞게 잘 추종하고 있었고 원자로 입·출구 및 가압기 계통의 외란에 대해서는 정상상태시의 부하변화와 같은 응답특성을 갖으나 적은 외란에 대해서도 부하가 크게 변하는 회과를 갖는 응답특성을 보이고 있어 외란이 시스템 전반에 미치는 영향이 매우 큼을 보이고 있다.

  • In order to minimize the damage from power outage, power system should be restored quickly. In this paper, a procedure for the restoration of microgrid is proposed. After elimination of the causes of power outage, a black start algorithm is executed by considering the characteristics of distributed generation control. After all resources have been recovered to the normal state, a grid reconnecting algorithm for stable operation in grid-connected mode is performed. In order to verify the proposed algorithm, low voltage microgrid is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • In this paper, the mathematical model of influenza derived by the state space method induced a new model by using normal distribution curve of incubation period and researched the effect of vaccination. The important results are as follows. (1) A new model represents accurate spread curve. (2) The standard deviation period in Korea is about 1.5 degree. (3) The number of carries of influenza since put in practice to the vaccination 20% is reduced by average 9.8% degree, the period of spread increase 4 days degree. (4) The vaccination at early put in operation was far surperior and the period of spread grow longer more or less. (5) In the first stage of an attack of disease a case increase since reducing. (6) The number of carries at night is reduced by average 5.468% than in the daytime.

  • A neural network compensator for stick-slip friction phenomena in meashartonics servo systems is practically proposed to supplement the traditionally available position and velocity control loops for precise motion control. The neural network compensa-tor plays the role of canceling the effect of nonlinear slipping friction force. It works robustly and effectively in a real control system. This enables the mechatronics servo systems to provide more precise control in the digital computer. It was confirmed that the con-trol accuracy is improved near zero velocity and points of changing the moving direction through numerical simulation. However, asymptotic property on the steady state error of the normal operation points is guaranteed by the integral term of traditional velocity loop controller.

  • Spin coaters are the essential instruments in micro-fabrication processes, which apply uniform thin films to flat substrates. In this research, a spin coater diagnosis system is developed to detect the abnormal operation of TFT-LCD process in real time. To facilitate the real-time data acquisition and analysis, the circular-buffered continuous data transfer and the short-time Fourier transform are applied to the fault diagnosis system. To determine whether the system condition is normal or not, a steady-state detection algorithm and a frequency spectrum comparison algorithm using confidence interval are newly devised. Since abnormal condition of a spin coater is rarely encountered, algorithm is tested on a CD-ROM drive and the developed program is verified by a function generator. Actual threshold values for the fault detection are tuned in a spin coater in process.

  • The service running of driverless rail vehicle has been required by various social and commercial issue. Currently, the new domestic line between Bu-san and Gim-hae is plan to be provided the LRV(Light Rail Vehicle) with driverless operation firstly in domestic service. These driverless vehicle have some major properties to make it lower the operating and maintenance cost, however on the other side, it unavoidably raise some potential hazard to make it lower the passenger safety because it is hard to take care immediately in emergency state during vehicle running. Therefore it is highly requested that we should consider various conditions at design stage to manufacture and operate the safest vehicle. Therefore, in this paper, we will survey the design concept of vehicle interior facilities based on the previous experience, (1) The difference of interior facilities between normal and driverless vehicle, (2) design and operational concept of passenger side door function to find out best application for domestic line driverless vehicle.

베이지안 추정법에 의한 소자의 수명 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Lifetime Prediction of Device by the Method of Bayesian Estimate)

  • 본 논문은 일반적으로 채택하고 있는 소자(device)의 수명분포인 와이블(Weibull) 분포를 적용하여 소자의 가속(accelerated) 수명 테스트에서 얻은 데이터, 즉 소자의 고정 시간을 이용하여 소자의 수명을 예측(prediction)하는데 필요한 보수(parameter)들을 추정 하는데 베이지안(Bayesian) 추정법을 이용하였다. 베이지안 추정법에서 모수를 추정하기 위해서는 사전정보가 있어야 하는데 본 논문에서는 사전정보 없이 현재의 정보만을 이용하여 모수를 추정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 스트레스가 온도인 경우, Arrhenius 모델을 적용하여 소자의 정상동작 상태에서의 수명을 예측 하는데 선형 추정을 하였다.
