센서 잡음 저감도 및 안정-강인성을 고려한 PID-PD 제어기의 최적 동조 (Optimum Tuning of PID-PD Controller considering Robust Stability and Sensor Noise Insensitivity)

  • In this paper, we propose tuning method of PID-PD controller to satisfy design specifications in frequency domain as well as time domain. The proposed tuning method of PID-PD controller that consist of the convex set of PID and PI-PD controller controls the closed-loop response to locate between the step responses, and Bode magnitudes of closed-loop transfer functions controlled by PID and PI-PD controller. The controller is designed by the optimum tuning method to minimize the proposed specific cost function subject to sensor noise insensitivity and robust stability. Its effectiveness is examined by the case study and analysis.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 영역뿐만 아니라 시간 영역의 설계 사양을 만족할 수 있는 PID-PD 제어기 동조 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 PID-PD 제어기 동조 방법은 PID 제어기와 PI-PD 제어기를 경계로 볼록형 집합을 형성하도록 선정한다. PID-PD 제어기는 PID 제어기와 PI-PD 제어기 각각에 의한 계단 응답과 보드 선도의 이득 사이에 위치하는 응답을 제어한다. 최적 동조 방법에 의해 센서 잡음 저감도 및 안정 강인성을 변수로 하는 가격함수를 최소화하는 제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 제어기의 유용성을 사례 연구와 분석을 통해 검토한다.

  • 디지털 영상에서 기하학적인 요소들을 찾아내는 일은 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서 기본적인 작업 중 하나이며, 허프변환(Hough transform)은 파라미터로 표현되는 기하학적 요소 추출을 위 해 널리 사용되고 있는 방법 중 하나이다. 하지만 허프 변환은 영상의 한 픽셀이 허프 공간의 한 방정식에 대응되는 일대다 특성으로 인해 잡음에 민감한 특성을 갖는다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 잡음 민감성을 줄이는 방법으로 경계선 강도를 이용한 허프 변환을 제안하고, 이를 허프 공간에서의 피크 비(peak ratio)를 이용하여 증명하였다. 또한 직선을 대상으로 한 실험을 통하여 이를 확인하였다. 실험 결과, 제안한 경계선 강도 허프 변환은 기존의 허프 변환에 비해 잡음에 의해 검출되는 직선의 수가 줄어드는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In ground vehicles, the increasing demand for safety and ride comfort which are trade-off relation, especially at high speeds, has led to the development od actively controlled suspensions. The LQG/LTR controller can be used to design a robust feedback control system that deals with disturbance rejection properties as well as insensitivity to modelling errors and sensor noise. And when the disturbance can not be measured but is limited within a certain frequency range, a bandpass feedback to eliminate the disturbance response can be used. In this paper, hybrid controller cosisted of bandpass feedback controller and LQG/LTR controller is applied to a quarter-car model moving on a randomly profiled road. The random road profile considered as colored noise is shaped from white noise by use of shaping filter. The performance of the hybrid control system is compared with that of an LQG/LTR controlled system.

  • We consider the tapped-delay line (TDL) equalizer with the few calculation quantity and the simplity, the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) with the good property for interference, and lattice equalizer(LE) with high insensitivity to roundoff noise in mobile communication fading channel. The used adaptive algorithm is the LMS algorithm and RLS algorithm. In this paper, we have evaluated the performance of the TDL equalizer, the decision feedback equalizer, and lattice-structured equalizer, for the digital signal corrupted by the impulsive noise and the white gaussian noise under the fading channel environment. From the results of error performance analysis, it is confirmed that lattice-structured equalizer has better performance than DFE equalizer and TDL equalizer.

  • In this paper, we will discuss the spectral characteristics of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) inscribed in two different types of polarization-maintaining fibers with side holes. One showed high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), narrow bandwidth and high bending sensitivity, while the other one showed insensitivity to bending due to the small size of the side holes.

A Hybrid Control Development to Suppress the Noise in the Rectangular Enclosure using an Active/Passive Smart Foam Actuator

  • This paper presents a hybrid control algorithm for the active noise control in the rectangular enclosure using an active/passive foam actuator. The hybrid control composes of the adaptive feedforward with feedback loop in which the adaptive feedforward control uses the well-known filtered-x LMS(least mean square) algorithm and the feedback loop consists of the sliding mode controller and observer. The hybrid control has its robustness for both transient and persistent external disturbances and increases the convergence speed due to the reduced variance of the jiltered-x signal by adding the feedback loop. The sliding mode control (SMC) is used to incorporate insensitivity to parameter variations and rejection of disturbances and the observer is used to get the state information in the controller deign. An active/passive smart foam actuator is used to minimize noise actively using an embedded PVDF film driven by an electrical input and passively using an absorption-foam. The error path dynamics is experimentally identified in the form of the auto-regressive and moving-average using the frequency domain identification technique. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the hybrid control and the feasibility of the smart foam actuator.

  • The robust design technology which can determine design variables getting best performance function with insensitivity to the environment noise, is an important method for improving the performance of products at low cost. Applying the robust design technology in ship design, Koh et al[10] introduced the planing hull design. This paper reports the application this technology to a 150K bulk carrier which has many design variables and shows that the robust design technology is superior to optimization technique in practical use.

  • In this paper, the author proposed FLVSC(Fuzzy Logic Variable Structure Controller), of which control rules are extracted from the concepts of VSC(Variable Structure Control). FLC(Fuzzy Logic Controller) based on linguistic rules has the advantages of not needing of some exact mathematical model for plant to be controlled. The proposed method has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of disturbances, parameter variations and uncertainties in sliding mode. In addition, the method has the properties of FLC - noise rejection capability etc. The computer simulations have been carried out for a DC servo motor to show the usefulness of the proposed method and the effects of disturbances and parameter variations are considered.

  • 본 논문은 관상동맥 영상에서 혈관 경계 검출에 대한 알고리듬을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리듬은 정합필터링과 적응추적에 기반한 방법이다. 제안된 알고리듬은 분기부분 문제와 직경이 작은 혈관 부분의 문제점을 해결하였다. 또한 빠른 처리기간과 잡음에 강인한 성능을 가지고 있다.
