청소년의 자아분화 수준 및 가족기능이 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Self-differentiation and Family Function on Mental Health in Adolescents)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of self-differentiation, family function and mental health among adolescents. Methods: The data were collected from 967 adolescents and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS program. Results: Mental health differed according to grades, sibling position, father's education and mother's education. Self-differentiation and family function had a significant negative correlation with mental health. Multiple regression analysis showed recognition.emotional function, emotional cutoff and family projection as influencing self-differentiation. Grades, affective responsiveness in family function, and sibling position explained 20.8% of the total variance in mental health. Conclusion: The findings show that self-differentiation and family function influence mental health, indicating a need to develop nursing intervention programs to enhance adolescents' mental health and prevent negative outcomes. For these programs, the family must be included.

초.중등 여학생의 성 성숙과 자기개념이 외모관심도와 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sexual Maturity and Self-Concept on Interest in Appearance and Appearance Management Behavior for Female Students in Elementary and Middle School)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초 중등 여학생의 외모관심도와 외모관리행동이 성 성숙, 자기개념과 어떠한 상관관계를 갖는지 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 서울지역의 초 중등 여학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외모관심도와 외모관리행동 모두 중학생이 초등학생보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생이 중학생보다 전체적으로 긍정적인 자기개념을 가지고 있었고 특히 가정자기가 유의하게 높았다. 셋째, Tanner Stage가 초등학생은 2,3단계로서 사춘기 초기 상태, 중학생은 3,4단계로서 성장 발육의 진행 상태에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 월경을 하는 학생의 비율이 초등학생은 33%에 불과한 반면, 중학생은 90%로 대부분이 월경을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 성 성숙에 대한 주관적인 느낌 역시 차이를 보여, 초등학생은 자신의 성 성숙 속도가 또래보다 빠르다고 느낄 때, 중학생은 느리다고 느낄 때 부정적인 느낌을 가졌다. 넷째, 초 중등 여학생의 외모관심도에 자기개념과 성 성숙이 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 초등학생은 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록 외모에 대한 관심이 높았다. 중학생은 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록, 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 성숙에 대한 느낌이 부정적일수록, 신체적 자기개념이 높을수록 외모에 대한 관심이 높았다. 또한 초 중등 여학생의 외모관리행동에 외모관심도와 자기개념 및 성 성숙이 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 초등학생은 외모관심이 높을수록 외모관리행동에 적극적이었다. 중학생의 외모관리행동은 외모에 대한 관심이 높을수록, 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다.

결핵 환자의 자기 낙인(self-stigma)에 대한 개념 분석 (Concept Analysis of Self-stigma in Patients with Tuberculosis)

  • Purpose: Tuberculosis is an infectious condition with a high disease burden, and the stigma in patients with tuberculosis causes negative health outcomes. The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of self-stigma among patients with tuberculosis. Methods: The analysis was conducted using Walker and Avant's conceptual approach. Twenty-seven studies met the selection criteria. Results: Self-stigma in patients with tuberculosis can be defined by the following attributes: 1) self-esteem decrement; 2) fear; 3) negative emotions to oneself; 4) social withdrawal; and 5) discrimination. The antecedents identified were 1) inappropriate knowledge of tuberculosis, 2) spread of improper health information through media and social communications, 3) stereotypes and prejudices, 4) visibility due to symptoms appearing, 5) recognizing the risk of infection, and 6) low financial status. The consequences were 1) concealing the disease, 2) treatment delay, 3) poor treatment adherence, 4) poor quality of life, and 5) deterioration in or lack of social activities. Conclusion: The definition and attributes of self-stigma identified by this study can be applied to enhance the understanding of stigma in tuberculosis patients and to improve communications between healthcare providers and researchers. It can also be used to develop theories and measurements related to stigma in patients with tuberculosis.

작업치료사의 소진과 전문직 자아개념 및 자기효능감 간의 관계 (A Study on the Relationships between Occupational Therapists' Burn-out, Professional Self-concept, and Self-efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 작업치료사의 소진과 전문직 자아개념 및 자기효능감 정도를 파악하고, 인구사회학적 특성과 전문직 자아개념, 자기효능감이 소진에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 작업치료 업무를 수행하고 있는 작업치료사 138명이었고, 2011년 10월 13일부터 11월 2일까지 구조화된 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 작업치료사의 소진은 평균 2.12(범위: 0-6), 전문직 자아개념은 평균 2.64(범위: 1-4)이었고, 자기효능감은 평균 3.56(범위: 1-5)이었다. 둘째, 작업치료사의 일반적 특성에 따른 소진은 1일 치료시간, 토요근무, 적성, 종교에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 전문직 자아개념은 자기효능감과 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 전문직 자아개념과 자기효능감은 소진과 부적 상관관계를 보였다. 넷째, 작업치료사의 소진에 영향을 미치는 주요 변수는 전문직 자아개념과 종교였다. 따라서 전문직 자아개념을 향상시키는 프로그램을 개발하여 작업치료사의 소진을 감소시키고, 작업치료 서비스의 질적 향상을 도모해야 할 것이다.

사회비교와 행복의 관계에서 문화적 자기관의 역할 (The Moderation Effect of Cultural Self-construal on a Social Comparison and Happiness)

  • 본 연구는 사회비교와 행복의 관계에 미치는 문화적 자기관의 영향을 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 사회비교와 행복은 부적관계에 있다고 알려져 있지만 사회비교의 결과는 비교 당사자의 자기인식과 비교동기에 따라 달라진다는 견해 역시 존재한다. 본 연구는 문화적 자기관이 사회비교와 행복에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 전국 5대 권역(수도권, 강원, 충청, 전라, 경상)에서 표집한 권역 당 4개 연령대(30대, 40대, 50대, 60대) 각 100명씩, 총 2,000명을 대상으로 문화적 자기관(상호협조적 자기, 주체성-대상성 자기), 사회비교경향, 주관적 안녕감 및 심리적 안녕감을 조사하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 상호협조적 자기는 사회비교와 정적상관을, 행복과는 부적상관을 보였고, 둘째, 상호협조적 자기가 높은 사람들은 사회비교를 많이 할수록 주관적 안녕감이 낮았지만, 낮은 사람들은 사회비교가 행복에 영향을 끼치지 않았다. 셋째, 대상성 자기가 높은 사람들은 사회비교를 많이 할수록 행복이 낮았지만, 주체성 자기가 높은 사람들은 사회비교가 행복에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이를 바탕으로 사회비교의 결과에 영향을 미치는 자기관의 성격과 행복의 문화적 의미 등에 대해 논의하였다.

제왕절개술 산모의 자아개념 측정 도구 개발 (Development of a scale to Measure the Self Concept of Cesarean Section Mothers.)

  • Recently, the rate of cesarean section in Korea has been increasing. The results of several previous studies in foreign countries on the emotional responses of cesarean section mothers showed that they might experience difficulties in the mother- infant interaction due to fatigue, lack of early mother - infant interaction, disappointments, anger, feelings of loss of control, and other factors. Human behavior is said to be determined by one's self concept, and self concept is influenced by both internal and external environmental factors. A scale to measure the self concept of cesarean section mothers was needed in order to identify those who might have difficulties in the mother- infant interactions in future. The purposes of this study were to develop a measuring scale, and to test its reliability and validity. The process of this study was as follows. A structured interview was done with 50 cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers to find their state of emotional reaction after giving birth to their babies. Based on the results of the interviews, a 50 items Likert scale was developed. The self concept of 268 cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers who were hospitalized at six hospital in seoul were measured, during the period between Feb. 1 and April 30. Reviewing the discriminating power of each item by means of crosstabulation, ten items were selected for the final scale. The reliability and validity of this ten item scale were tested by Cronbach's alpha and t-test, using spss pc+package. The results of this study and recommendation are as follows. 1. The ten selected items were as follows. I feel pains in my breast. (-) I have a good appetite now. (+) I feel pains in my flank. (-) I feel fine now. (+) My body seems to have returned to its prepregnant state. (+) Thinking of the delivery process, I feel sorry. (-) I want to hold my baby in my arms. (+) I want to keep my own life, even if I became a mother. (-) I want to delegate the care of the baby to my mother / mother in law. (-) I think baby is my alter ego. (+) 2. The reliability of this scale was tested by Cronbach's alpha, and the coefficient of this scale was .8066. 3. The construct validity of this scale was tested by means of known group methods. The value of self concept for cesarean section mother was significantly lower than for vaginal delivery mothers(t=-5.51, df=266, p=0.007). 4. The criterion validity of this scale was tested indirectly. Though this scale could discriminate the differences in the self concept between cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers, the five items on the personal self concept scale didn's show any differences between cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers. Therefore, the study indicates that those who shows lower values in the personal self concept measurement, that is, lower than 12.03 points, could be regaled as “risk mothers” 5. Further studies using this scale to clarify the influencing factors on negative self concept are strongly recommended.

한국가족의 교육열과 대학입시 : 가족적 대책 수립을 위한 실천방안 연구 (College Entrance Exam Educational Aspirations and Functional strategies of the Korean Family)

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate the current problems of family in adolescents' college entrance examination and to propose the practical alternatives about effective overcoming strategies. To study these objectives two kinds of sample and questionnaire were selected and the data were obtained through 360 parent-child pairs and 802 college preparatory institute students living in Seoul Taejon and kwangju. The major findings were as follow: 1. Educational achievements were affected by adolescents' personal traits as achievement need self-regulation emotional stability and self-concept but parents ' over-aspirations were negative agent for stress coping. 2. Parent-adolescent intimate and self-regulated relationships were positive factors for achievement and educational self-concept. Also adolecsents' educational aspirations were more significantly affected by parents' emotional supports. 3. Family stress were mediated by parent-child conflict so satisfied parent-child relationships can protect serious stressors as examination problems. Especially father-related factors were importantly revealed. In conclusion adolescent family and society must develop coping methods individually and cooperatively through family life education systematic policy and educational reformation.

결손가정 아동의 정신건강 구조모형 (A Structural Model on the Mental Health in Children from Dysfunctional Families)

  • Purpose: This study was on the structural analysis of the covariant amount in order to evaluate the suitability of the structural models which can explain and predict the mental health of children on the basis of Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory. Methods: A questionnaire was used to survey 269 children from dysfunctional families out of 5th and 6th grade students from 30 elementary schools in one city and 6 counties, which was analyzed by using PASW Statistics 18.0 and LISREL 8.7 programs. Results: The variable which had influence on the self-esteem was the social support. The variable which had influence on the positive reaction under stress was the stress. The variables which had influence on the negative reaction under stress were stress, and self esteem. The variables which had influence on the mental health were the self-esteem and the negative reaction under stress. The main variables to influence the mental health of children from dysfunctional families turned out to be the self-esteem and the negative reaction under stress to the mental health. Conclusion: Evaluating the suitability of the models, I presented the bases on the practical nursing business. They showed the right directions to the mental health care of children from dysfunctional families.

교육과정개발을 위한 학생측면의 기초연구 - 간호학과 학생의 자아개념과 교육자의 인식을 중심으로 - (A Preliminary Study for Curriculum Building in Nursing)

  • This study was conducted to provide information useful in developing a nursing curriculum. The sample consisted of 158 nursing students in Hanyang University and 34 faculty members who has taught them in their college & the practical area. Data were collected by using a structured questionnaire, which consisted of general characteristics of the students & their self-concept, teacher's perception of student's professional roles. The results are summarized as follows; 1. General characteristics of the students When the students applied for the university, they decided what they would specialized in. Because the motive of application for their major was simply based on their high school records, they were admitted to their university without previous knowledge of their major. The reason why they wanted to tranfer to another course after the admission was the same as above. The level of satisfaction of their major was the highest in Freshman, but in other grades the higher the;, grades were, the more they satisfied with their major and they had a better prospects about their speciality. 2. Self-concept in profermance for their major Self-concept in horne aspects was more positive perception than in social aspects & self control aspects. It resulted from tile fact that all students were females and the nursing uniqueness was based on the spirit of humanity & service. The students who had graduated from the high school in rural area wanted to tranfer to another course and taken counsel their personal problems with their parents had higher self-concept in horne aspects. As their grades were higher, the self-concept in social aspects bacame higher. The students who were satisfied with their major and took counsel their personal problems with their parents had more positive self - concept in social aspects. Self-concept in self control aspects was lower than other aspects. The students who didn't take counsel their problems with their parents, were burdened with their educational expenses and their curriculum had more negative self-concept in self control aspects. Therefore the university should be concerned about student's welfare and provide detailed orientation about their curriculum. 3. Teacher's perception about learner's professional role The role model of democratic group leader, role models for learners facilitator in a students' reach for knowledge and teaching based on soundly researched theory showed more positive perception than other factors. Their mean values were over 4. 32. The professionalism of allnurshing area, reinforcement with reinforcement for learning, nursing as part of the meaningful context of the whole showed nagative perception. Their mean values were below 3. 00. Therefore the nurse as a teacher should try to promote the locus of nursing profession and participate in their research actively.

고등학생의 자아분화 정도 및 가족기능과 스트레스 수준에 대한 연구 (Self-differentiation, Family Function and Stress Level in High School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between high school students' self-differentiation, family function and their level of stress. Method: A questionnaire which consisted of questions on general characteristics of the high school students, and 36 questions on self-differentiation, 17 questions on family function, and 37 questions on level of stress was used to collect the data. Participants were 201 second grade high school students from Bucheon City. Descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression were used with SPSS 10.0 to analyze the data. Results: The mean scores for self-differentiation, family function, and levels of stress were 3.27, 3.39, and 2.61 respectively. The relationship between self-differentiation and level of stress revealed a significant negative correlation. The relationship between self-differentiation and family function showed a significant positive correlation. The relationship between family function and stress level showed a significant negative correlation. Conclusion: The results of the study show that variation in level of stress was related to family regression, recognition/emotional function, family projection, role recognition and emotional support and emotional cutoff which together explained 40.9% of the variance in level of stress.
