  • An InGaZnO thin film transistor with different gate lengths and widths have been fabricated and their device degradations with device sizes have been also performed after negative gate bias stress. The threshold voltage and subthreshold swing have been decreased with decrease of gate length. However, the threshold voltages were increased with the decrease of gate lengths. The transfer curves were negatively shifted after negative gate stress and the threshold voltage was decreased. However, the subthreshold swing was not changed after negative gate stress. This is due to the hole trapping in the gate dielectric materials. The decreases of the threshold voltage variation with the decrease of gate length and the increase of gate width were believed due to the less hole injection into gate dielectrics after a negative gate stress.

  • We have developed the RF discharge Excited slab Waveguide $CO_2$ laser and measured the output power. We make used of concave and concave mirror, concave and convex mirror that negative branch and positive branch unstable resonator, respectively. The resonator active dimension is 2$\times$40$\times$400 mm and ratio frequency is 123 MHz. The gas mixing ratio is $CO_2$: $N_2$ : He=1 : 1 : 3. The pressure in resonator is from 10 to 60 torr and RF input power increased from 100 to 900 W. so that We obtained laser maximum output power of negative branch and positive branch resonator 50.9 W and 70.8 W and efficiency is 6.5 % and 9.2 %, respectively.

  • Semantic web technology is the evolution of current World Wide Web including a machine-understandable knowledge database, ontology, it may be enable machine and people to work together. However, problems arise when we try to communicate with different data, which are annotated by different ontologies created by different people with different concepts. Thus, to communicate between ontologies, it needs to align between heterogeneous ontologies. When it is aligned between concept nodes of heterogeneous ontologies, one of main problems is a misalignment situation caused by false negative of automatic ontology mapping. So, in this paper, we present a new method to minimize the false negative error in the process of aligning concept nodes of different ontology.

  • Online signature verification is one of the simple and efficient method of identity verification and has less resistance than other biometric technologies. In training to build a verification model, negative samples are required to build the model, but in most practical applications it is not easy to get negative samples - forgery signatures. In this paper, proposed is a method using someone else's signatures as negative samples. In verification, shape-based features extracted from the time-sequenced signature data are extracted and a support vector machine is used to verify. SVM tries to map a feature vector to a high dimensional space and to draw a linear boundary in the high dimensional space. SVM is one of the best classifiers and has been applied to various applications. Using general handwriting data, i.e., someone else's signatures which have little in common with positive samples improved the verification rate experimentally, which means that signature verification without negative samples is possible.

  • IEEE 802.11 has employed distributed coordination function (DCF) adopting carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA). To effectively resolve collisions, DCF uses binary exponential backoff (BEB) algorithm with three parameters, i.e., backoff stage, backoff counter and contention window. If a collision occurs, stations involving in the collision increase their backoff stages by one and double their contention window sizes. However, DCF with BEB wastes wireless resource when there are many contending stations. Therefore, in this paper, to enhance the performance of wireless LAN, we propose binary negative-exponential backoff (BNEB) algorithm which maintains a maximum contention window size during collisions and reduces a contention window size to half after successful transmission of a frame without retransmissions. For IEEE 802.11, 802.11a and 802.11b standards, we also compare the performance of DCF with BEB to that with BNEB.

  • Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Molecular subtypes are important in determining prognosis. This study evaluated five-year disease-free survival among four molecular subtypes in patients with early stages of breast cancer. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective descriptive-analytical study, information on patients with breast cancer between 2001-2010 was evaluated. Five hundred ninety two patients in the early stages of breast cancer (stages 1 and 2) were selected to undergo anthracycline-based chemotherapy. Relapse, death or absence (censor) were considered as the end of the study. Patients based on ER, PR and HER-2 expression were divided into four subtypes (luminal A, luminal B, HER-2 enriched and triple negative). Information based upon questionnaire was analysed. To show the patients survival rate, life table and Kaplan-Meyer methods were used, and for comparing mean survival among different groups, the Log-Rank test was utilized. Results: Mean age at diagnosis was $47.9{\pm}9.6$. Out of the 592 patients, 586 were female (99%) and 6 were male (1%). Considering breast cancer molecular subtypes, 361 patients were in the luminal A group (61%), 49 patients in the luminal B group (8.3%), 48 patients in the HER-2 enriched group (8.1%) and 134 in the triple negative group (22.6%). Mean disease-free survival was 53.7 months overall, 55.4 months for the luminal A group, 48.3 months for the luminal B group, 43 months for the HER-2enriched group and 54.6 months for the triple negatives. Disease free survival differed significantly among the molecular subtypes (p value=0.0001). Conclusions: The best disease-free survival rate was among the luminal A subgroup and the worst disease-free survival rate was among the HER-2 enriched subgroup. Disease free survival rate in the HER-2 positive groups (luminal B and HER-2 enriched) was worse than the HER-2 negative groups (luminal A and triple negative).

Especially, This study is focused on identifying the moderating effects of demographic characteristics and institutional confrontations system. This study was carried out based on survey of social workers on social welfare facilities located in G metropolitan city and J province. The major findings can be summarized as follows. First, Social workers' negative reactions toward client violence affect on burnout significantly. Second, demographic characteristics and institutional confrontations system moderate the relationship between social workers' negative reactions toward client violence and their burnout. This study suggested some implications basing on the analytical results.

  • The Internet has become a major channel of business marketing and sales, and there is a core competitive object between websites for a high position ranking in search engine results. There are various ways to maintain the high position ranking of website involving the development of componental coding or the expensive investment for the search engine optimization. The purpose of this paper is proposed to identify and rank the negative elements of website visibility to get rid of those elements when website designer designs the webpage. Website can be removed from indices of search engines when they are not satisfied for search engine optimization. The proposed experiments that are identified and ranked the negative elements of website visibility in this paper are based on the theories and experiments of existing website visibility models. The experimental analyses in this paper are scored and normalized based on methodologies of those models and 10 highest negative elements are ranked through the analyses. Therefore when website is designed, these highest negative elements should be avoided so website can not be removed in the indices of search engines.

  • There is a problem of long erase and program times in testing large-density memories. Also, there is a need of testing the VT voltages of EEPROM cells at each step during the reliability test. In this paper, a cell verification module is designed for a 512kb EEPROM and a CG (control gate) driver is proposed for measuring the VT voltages of a split gate EEPROM having negative erase VT voltages. In the proposed cell verification module, asymmetric isolated HV (high-voltage) NMOS devices are used to apply negative voltages of -3V to 0V in measuring erase VT voltages. Since erasing and programming can be done in units of even pages, odd pages, or a chip in the test time reduction mode, test time can be reduced to 2ms in testing the chip from 4ms in testing the even and the odd pages.
