  • The design of structures of modern industry has developed to satisfy stringent service, realiability and safety. Up to now, geometric profile which means surface foughness and dimension accuracy is mainly treated in manufacturing process of work surface. But it is inevitable to evaluate changes of surface geometry as well as the nature of alterations in surface layers because surface of workpiece changes as a result of phase transformation, chemical changes, plastic deformation and stress changes. This paper is to present principal data for safety design by verifying the effect of grinding conditions and method in grinding layers and to explain the method of measuring surface integrity. In this paper, structural steel(SM20C) is used as a workpiece. Of integrity, surface roughness in view of surface texture is analyzed by frequency domain and residual stress, structures and defect of ground layers in view of surface metallurgy are investigated.

  • This study grasped the true nature of the inquiry domain by analysing the requests for collaborative reference service in the social science field using the co-word technique, and schematized the intellectual structure. First, this study extracted 748 uncontrolled keywords from inquiries for reference in the field of social science. Second, calculated similarity indices between the words on the basis of co-occurrence frequency, and performed not only clustering but also MDS mapping. Third, to grasp the difference in inquiries for reference by period, dividing the period into two parts, and performed comparative analysis. As a result, there formed 5 clusters and "Korea Education" showed an overwhelming size with 40.3% among those clusters. The result of the analysis through the period division showed there were many questions about "Education" during the first half, while a lot of inquiries with focus on "welfare and business information" during the second half.

  • We present applications of MLS-based finite elements, which enable us to easily treat highly complex nonmatching finite element meshes and discontinuities. The shape functions of MLS-based finite element can be easily generated with the aid of Moving Least Square approximation on the parental domain. The major advantage includes that the position of element nodes as well as the number of the element nodes can be conveniently adjusted according to the nature of the problems under consideration, so that finite-element mesh is straightforwardly adapted to evolving discontinuities and. interfaces. Furthermore, we show that the present MLS-based finite elements are efficiently applied for elastic-plastic deformations, wherein the implicit constraint of incompressibility should be properly handled.

  • Music is now digitally produced and distributed via internet and we face a huge amount of music day by day. A music summarization technology has been studied in order to help people concentrate on the most impressive section of the song andone can skim a song as listening the climax(chorus, refrain) only. Recent studies try to find the climax section using various methods such as finding diagonal line segment or kernel based segmentation. All these methods fail to capture the inherent structure of music due to polyphonic and noisy nature of music. In this paper, after applying moving average filter to time domain of MFCC/chroma feature, we achieved a remarkable result to capture the music structure.

  • Because sensor networks use wireless communication, they are vulnerable to attacks which are more difficult launch in the wired domain. Many wired networks benefit from their inherent physical security properties. It is unlikely that an adversary will dig up the Internet backbone and splice into the line. However, wireless communications are difficult to protect; they are by nature a broadcast medium. In a broadcast medium, adversaries can easily eavesdrop on, intercept, inject, and alter transmitted data. In addition, adversaries are not restricted to using sensor network hardware. We have analyzed the IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee specification which includes a number of security provisions and options. In this paper, we highlight places where USN security considerations and home network attack scenarios.

  • Recently, Topological Data Analysis (TDA) has attracted attention among various techniques for analyzing big data. Mapper algorithm, which is one of TDA techniques, is used to visualize the cluster diagram. In this study, students were clustered according to the characteristics and degree of mathematics anxiety using a mapper, and students were visualized according to mathematics anxiety. In order to do this, Mathematical Anxiety Scale (Ko & Yi, 2011) in the aspect of mathematical instability in terms of teaching - learning, ie, Nature of Mathematics, Learning Strategy, Test/Performance is used. And the number of questions that measure the anxiety of mathematics can be extracted by extracting the most relevant items among the items that measure the anxiety of mathematics.

  • The tone reservation method is one of the most effective pre-distortion methods for peak-to-average power ratio reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Its direct application to OFDM systems with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) is, however, not effective. In this paper, two novel TR-based methods are proposed, specifically designed for OFDM/OQAM systems by taking into consideration the overlapping nature of OQAM signals. These two methods have different approaches to the generation of the peak-cancelling signal. The first one (overlapped scaling tone reservation) generates the peak-cancelling signal using a least squares approximation algorithm with possible adjacent symbol overlap; the second one (multi-kernel tone reservation) generates the peak-cancelling signal by using multiple impulse-like time domain kernels. It is shown by simulation that, when used in OFDM/OQAM systems, the proposed methods can provide better performance than the direct application of the existing controlled clipping tone reservation method, and even outperform the multi-block tone reservation method.

So we can understand yang taeg theory as a part of feng shui that controls the mental, field of traditional architecture. The results may besummarised as follows. 1. Mentalprinciple of traditional architecfure being understood as a "역" is to result is not the concept of shape as materials and in but that of phase as a spririt. 2. In yang taeg theory, architectural behavior (as selecting site, building and the day for building) is made form the base of that, a human being as a part of universe. 3. Geomantic aspect, to being, laid in an fying a human being and nature as spatial, time concept. 4. The concept of domain in feng-shui is found in village as well as in house.

  • Practical controllers of industrial systems are usually designed and realized in continuous time domain. However, due to the programmable and flexible nature of digital computers and the speed and stability superioity of digital components over analog ones, it seems more effective to adapt digital controllers. When an existing analog controller performs satisfactory, it is often advantageous to use the digital redesign techinque to obtain an equlivalent digital controller which substitutes the analog one. One method of the digital redesign is to use a periodic gain. This method gives a riffle effect on the steady state response, although it's transient response is satisfactory. This paper suggests a method which eliminates or deminishes periodic ripples generated by the periodic function.

  • This study investigates work loads and coping strategies of the married female production workers(MFPW). The data of 370 MFPW in manufacturing sector in Taegu are collected by using a questionare in August 1995 The findings of this study are as follow: 1) The results of objective work loads assessed time dairy show that the average working hours is 14.25 hours during weekdays. The respondents spend 11.5 hours and 2.75 hours on doing paid and household work respectively,. The shortage of phisiological and leisure time due to spending excessively long time on work. 2) MFPW perceive the severe subjective work loads in the areas of personal family and social life. The perceived burden from paid work itself is relatively low due to the nature of their job. 3) The coping strategies MFPW actually adopted are limited mostly to those from an individual domain such as shortening the time for sleep leisure or household labor.
