The purpose of this paper is to examine the paintings and symbols of the Jeju Guandeokjeong murals, Treasure No. 322. Gwandeokjeong Pavilion in Jeju is one of the oldest buildings in Jeju and was built in 1448 during the reign of King Sejong (世宗) of the Joseon Dynasty to serve as a training ground for soldiers. Unlike Gwandeokjeong Pavilions in other regions, Jeju's Gwandeokjeong Pavilion has a long history and is of cultural value due to its beautiful architecture. In addition, it contains various murals which are a further source of attention. There are four murals on the front and back of the two Lintels on the left and right sides of the building. Their contents include of 『The Three Kingdoms (三國志)』 and and on the back. Towards the right, is depicted, with on the back. Based on a replica of the murals from 1976, the plan, style, and age of the Gwandeokjeong Pavilion murals have been studied, together with their meanings. This is a paper that examines the meaning and changes of how Dalgang Song, a parenting song, is accepted in pansori works and how it plays a role in the narrative of the work. In Chapter 2, Compared the lyrics of Dalgang-Dalgang in actual parenting scene and Dalgang-Dalgang in Pansori's work. As a result, the songs in Pansori, show some differences in lyrics, but most of them kept the narrative structure intact. Among them, Gangreung-maehwa-ga maintained the phrase "Dalgang-Dalgang" in front and back, making the least changes. Simcheong-ga and Jeokbyeok-ga maintained their epic structures, but the the front and the rear phrase turned into a "Uh huh, Doong doong". And Dalgang-Dalgang was sung mostly by its mother or grandmother at the actual parenting scene, but the song in Pansori, was all sung by men. This study presents an investigation into South Korean films in the 1990s in the aspects of genre change and emotional reorganization. The 1990s witnessed a change of genres and a paradigm shift in the history of Korean films according to the revolutionary changes of the film industry structure and media environment. Believing that these changes had something to do with emotional changes driven by global capitalization symbolized by democratization in 1987 and the foreign currency crisis in 1998, the investigator analyzed the phenomena in film texts and examined the opportunities and context behind them. Unlike previous researches, this study made an approach to the history of Korean films in the 1990s with three points: first, this study focused on why the romantic comedy genre emerged in the 1990s and what stages its formation underwent since there had been no profound discussions about them; secondly, this study analyzed the biggest hits during the transitional period from 1987~1999 to figure out the mainstream genres and emotions during that period since these hits would provide texts to show the genre domain and public taste in a symbolic way; and finally, this study grew out of the separate investigation approach between melodramas and romantic comedies and looked into an emotional structure to encompass both genres to make a more broad and dynamic approach to South Korean films in the 1990s. History flows continuously without severance from previous times. When there is attention paid to inflection points and opportunities in the continuum, it can show the dynamics and structures of changes. This research led to the following conclusions: the mainstream genre of South Korean films had been melodramas until the 1980s. The old convention had been kept to offset or suture contradictions and excessive elements deviant from the structural consistency. Here, the structural consistency refers to no compliance to rational regulations or trade. The process of genre reorganization in the 1990s happened while securing some distance from the convention of making the structural consistency a sacrifice. The direction was to reinforce control through reasonable rationalism and logic of capital. It developed into romance, which would start with comedy to keep distance from the objects through laughter, heighten the level of remarks, and expand criticality, symbolize emotions with taste items, and build through the logic of mutual consensus and practical trade. In the 1990s, the South Korean films thus developed in a direction of moving away from the narrative of urgent pathos based on unconditional familism. It was on the same track as the entry of the South Korean society into the upgraded orbits of democracy and capitalism as the twins of modern rationalism since the latter part of the 1980s.
This study is a trend analysis study that discusses the current status and directions of research methods of KAP research. The existing trend ana lysis studies dealing with research methods have problems in that the classification criteria of the studies used are rough and different from each other, rendering comparison between studies being difficult, and do not comprehensively cover research methods of diversified KAP research. Therefore, this study examined the research methods of KAP research from a critical point of view and suggested a set of classification criteria and an analysis framework that can be used consistently in classification and analysis of future KAP research methods. Based on the theoretical background of second language studies and applied linguistics, this study revised and supplemented Brown (2015)'s research method types and selected 289 journals and theses/dissertations from 2012 to 2016 and classified them into a new analysis framework. The primary and secondary studies, which are the major categories, were 219 and 70, respectively, so it was confirmed that there were much more primary studies. The primary studies then were subdivided into 128 qualitative research studies, 142 survey research studies, and 23 quantitative research studies, pointing to the trend that survey and qualitative research methods were preferred. In the qualitative research approaches, there were 21 action research studies, which were used the most. In addition, such qualitative research approaches as case studies and narrative inquiries which were difficult to find in the past, have gradually increased, confirming that the diversification of research methods is becoming common. However, there were still many studies that did not explicitly put forward research questions and there were many studies that did not report reliability and effect sizes in quantitative research. Of the 23 quantitative studies, only 50% reported reliability, and only three reported effect sizes. In order to enable systematic reviews (meta-analysis) of quantitative research and expect quality improvement of research in future KAP research, reporting of quantitative research should be done more systematically. This study is meaningful in that a systematic and detailed analysis framework was proposed to classify various research methods in the future and that the problems and directions for improvement of the KAP research methods were discussed through the analysis of the research trend of the KAP studies for the last 5 years.
After the enactment of the Local Culture Promotion Act in 2014, the government has been continuously trying to find the direction of the local culture that reflects the local life and conforms to the local people's emotions. In response to these efforts, the Organizing Committee for the C Region Biennale has uniquely formed the Biennale Artistic Director as a local artist who includes the historical, ecological and emotional characteristics of the C region. Therefore, I sought to explore the perception of the identity and role of the local cultural arts director through the narratives of the research participants who were appointed as the local residents of the C region and the director of the Craft Biennale. For the study, six local cultural arts directors were selected as research participants, and their identity as a local cultural arts director and its role were explored, focusing on their narratives. In this process, various types of data such as photographs, documents, in - depth interviews, and conference materials were collected and narrative was analyzed based on deterministic events. The results of the investigation are as follows. The idea of the identity of the local cultural arts directors was found to be in three directions. First, it is the view that the symbolic role of the artistic supervisory system of the 10 persons guarantees the identity. Second, the identity of local cultural arts directors was recognized as a role to find ways to be localized by developing and debating cultural and artistic discourses in various regions. Third, the participants had a concern and affection for local cultural arts, not one-time but continuous, and recognized it as their identity. The directors who participated in the interviews showed that the discourse of cultural arts in various regions were developed and discussed, and they wanted to find ways to be localized. The roles of local cultural arts directors recognized by research participants in connection with their identity are as follows. First, it should be the subject of systematic and long-term planning that can close the year and connect with the art events of the following year. Second, it should play a role of academic / research that can derive the identity of social and cultural ecological analysis connected with the area. Third, local arts professionals are required to act as cultural brokers, ie local culture professionals, who can create a venue for international cultural exchanges. Research on the form of local government supervision as a mediator of local cultural arts is to find out the origin of the identity of local artists and to establish a methodology for the direction of culture and art as a subject of local people. In addition, there is a need for continued interest and research in providing a reflection on the communication and meaning of the desirable local culture, and suggesting the system for cultivating local cultural arts intermediaries.
This paper attempts to analyze the trend of research methods in Korean social welfare research and discuss utilities of qualitative research methods in broadening and deepening social welfare knowledge body in Korea. First, this paper examines research methods of 538 research articles published in Korean Journal of Social Welfare from the volume one in 1979 to the volume 51 in 2002. It has the following results: (1) non-empirical research articles were dominant in the 1980s; (2) empirical research articles have been dominant since the middle of the 1990s; and (3) research articles utilizing qualitative methods have appeared rarely since the end of the 1990s. Second, this paper examines the characteristics and the types(phenomenology, grounded theory, ethno-graphic approach, narrative inquiry etc.) of qualitative research methods. Third, this paper discusses (1) fitness between practice in social welfare discipline and qualitative research methods and (2) utilities of qualitative research methods in broadening and deepening knowledge body of Korean social welfare. In discussing the fitness, this paper focuses that qualitative research methods fits with the needs of social welfare discipline regarding broadening and deepening our understandings about social phenomena related to practice, and (2) qualitative research methods fits the needs of social welfare discipline regarding developing endogenous knowledge. In discussing the utilities, this paper focuses that qualitative research methods can be more properly utilized for social welfare research because there are coincidences in basic assumptions and perspectives of both qualitative research methods and social welfare practice. Finally, this paper highlights that 'many ways of knowing' exist in social science and it should be considered more sincerely in the arena of Korean social welfare research in order to more solidly develop the knowledge body of social welfare and practice in Korea.
The purpose of this study was to develop the Meta-Evaluation Criteria which can comprehensively and systematically evaluate and improve the Accreditation Evaluation System for Engineering Education. This will provide useful implications for establishing value, direction, and improvement remedy for Engineering Educations Accreditation System of Korea. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, Meta-Evaluation Criteria was developed to comprehensively and systematically assess and analyze the Accreditation Evaluation System of Engineering Education. The research methodology used to study these subjects: literature review, interviews with experts, Delphi survey (three times), survey, analysis of narrative opinion and secondary source. The results and conclusions of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the final Meta-Evaluation Criteria were developed so as to comprehensively and systematically assess and analyze the Accreditation Evaluation System of Engineering Education. The criteria's validity and reliability were also identified. Specific details are as follows: In a draft plan of the Meta-Evaluation Criteria, Meta-Evaluation concept was defined as evaluation on the whole range of Accreditation Evaluation System of Engineering Education. Meta-Evaluation Criteria was designed to be based on a systematic approach and applies the phased approach to the lower component to reflect evaluation's characteristics. Then validity and reliability of the developed draft plan was verified by calculating Content Validity Ratio (CVR), Degree of Consensus, Degree of Convergence and Cronbach's alpha. The final developed Meta-Evaluation Criteria obtaining validity and reliability were composed of 5 evaluation areas (environment, input, performance, result, utilization), 15 evaluation items, 68 evaluation indicators.

This study performed a qualitative research on the transformative learning cases in vocational education for female baby-boom generation. The baby-boom generation that recently starts retirement is participating in vocational education for their re-employment. Even though their first goal of education was to find a job, they experienced in finding themselves through the actual education. Especially, female baby-boom generation learners were finding their own identity as an entity of social participation, getting out of the existing identity as wife, mother, and housewife. Such a learning experience was the process of recovering themselves, and in this process, new meanings of life were formed. In the results of the study, first, the learning experience in vocational education was the transformative learning to find themselves. They newly created themselves by critically introspecting their negative experience and perception of themselves, and then rearranging/cognizing the accumulated experiences. Second, the immersion in the transitional process to learner increased the motivation for learning and also drew learning about learning. Especially, they reinterpreted their educational methods and contents based on their learning experience in the vocational activity. Through the process, they learnt their past learning experience again. Third, the educational volunteer activity through learning club was a place for study to practice learning. Through this, the research participants realized that theories could not be separated from practice.
Due to the increasing global prevalence of dementia, such as Alzheimer disease, there is a growing public health concern about its prevention. The purpose of this study was to conduct a systematic review for a narrative synthesis and critical appraisal of current published research related to dementia prevention programs among Koreans. To conduct a systematic review, the data bases KoreaMed, Riss4u and 9 Nursing Journals were searched using the key words dementia prevention and cognitive function. Articles published between 2000~2014 and related to dementia prevention programs were reviewed. Two hundred-fifty references were searched but only 29 studies met our inclusion criteria to review. We found that dementia prevention programs focused on: exercise, 11 studies (37.9%); multi-therapy, 9 studies (31.0%); and cognitive enhancement activity, 4 studies(13.8%). The majority of studies (n=19, 65.5%) included adults over 65 while two studies targeted adults over 75. The current literature indicates that future research is needed to develop and provide appropriate and effective dementia prevention programs among Korean older adults.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
