  • This paper is proposed an efficiency optimization control algorithm for a synchronous reluctance motor which minimizes the copper and iron losses. The design of the speed controller based on fuzzy-neural networks(FNN) controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural networks. The control performance of the adaptive FNN controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. Simulation results are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithm

  • This study sorted high voltage motors by the voltage and the capacity and analyzed the property of motor-start. So we found out some problems of the starting circuit from several sites, and made the answers of the problems. If these results of our study are utilized in new WTPs, the safety of the starting circuit will be improved and the life of electric power system will be longer. We recommend this study as a reference when our company founds the standard of electric facility design.

  • 본 논문에서는 직류전동기의 속도 및 전류제어를 위하여 dSPACE 시스템을 이용하여 전류 궤환을 갖는 속도 제어시스템을 구현하였다. 속도 및 전류제어기의 설계는 MATLAB/SIMULINK 프로그램을 사용하여 간편하고 손쉽게 구현하였으며 직류전동기 속도제어의 안정성과 응답성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 직류전동기의 전류제어 및 속도제어는 DSP 보드와 dSPCE 시스템을 사용하여 수행하였으며, 속도의 궤환은 속도센서인 엔코더 펄스를 이용해서 QEP로 처리하였고 전류의 궤환은 전류센서인 홀센서를 통해서 A/D 변환기로 처리하였다. 제어기들은 각각 PI 속도제어기 및 PI 전류제어기를 설계하였고 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해서 속도 및 전류 응답을 확인하였다.

  • SRM has a characteristic of a robust, simple structure and wide operating ranges. So, recently it has studied and developed in many kinds and forms with the technology of power electronics and analysis and design by use of computer. Also, It is used in a very wide range of industrial applications. In particular, single phase switched reluctance motor has a merit in practical use because it has simple operating drives and control systems, very high energy density per unit volume comparing with three phase SRM. But it must have a starting device. In this paper, the shapes of the single phase SRM rotor are designed to reduce the torque ripple, to improve the efficiency.

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180 km/h

  • In this paper, a vector control method for a AC-Excited BLSM(Brushless Synchronous Motor) is proposed. The BLSM has a feature that separate exciter is not needed for excitation. The proposed method is described in two parts as follow, one is the design of drive and the other is a modeling for its implementation. Rotor flux is estimated using indirect sensing method based on voltage equation in the synchronously rotation reference frame. And rotor position is calculated from rotor angular velocity and stator current. Through computer simulation results of this proposed system, it is shown that the BLSM drive has a ability of precision torque control from the static and dynamic performance.

  • LPM(Linear pulse motor) was developed as a prototype. In this paper, the design results of prototype and its dynamic characteristics are shown. The prototype was designed by using permeance analysis and the thrust value was also confirmed by comparing with the analysis results of the finite element method. To verify the performance of LPM. dynamic characteristics were measured. In slewing characteristic of the LPM, the thrust value of prototype LPM is higher than commercial level. A X-Y table was structured as a application of the prototype LPM. A controller and user's interface was also developed. By using this control system, the position error of X-Y table was checked. The repeat position error in linear movement was under than ${\pm}$ 100 micron.

  • 본 논문에서는 ARM922T Core와 주변장치를 설계할 수 있는 100만 게이트의 FPGA를 내장한 알데라(Altera)사의 엑스칼리버(Excalibur)를 이용하여 DC모터 제어용 SoC를 설계하였다. SoC란 System on Chip의 약자로 하나의 칩 안에 프로세서와 다양한 목적의 주변장치들을 집적하는 것을 말한다. 모터를 구동하기 위한 PWM신호 생성기를 하드웨어 설계언어(Hardware Description Language)로 구현하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 설계모듈을 검증하였다. 이렇게 검증한 PWM 생성기 모듈과 ARM922T Core를 합성하여 SoC를 설계하였다. PWM 생성기 모들을 구성하는 내부의 각 분분을 VerilogHDL로 코딩하여 심볼로 만들어 통합하는 방식으로 설계를 하였으며 실제 모터를 구동하기 위해서 프로세서가 동작할 수 있도록 C언어로 프로그램하여 함께 칩에 다운로드하여 테스트를 하였다. SoC를 기반으로한 시스템 설계의 장점은 시스템이 간단해지고 고속의 동작이 가능하며 회로의 검증 및 다양한 시뮬레이션이 용이하다는데 있다.

  • The current type amplifier is the device that is used for an actuator as the motor's torque controller. However, it is too difficult to select the parameter value that has the desired output because the current type amplifier's transfer function is too complex. This study concern about the design of the current type amplifier with the desired output. From the modeled transfer function of the current type amplifier, the optimal parameter values of the transfer function can be selected in order to have the desired output using the Real Coded Genetic Algorithm(RCGA). The real circuit is made with the selected parameter value. The step response of the real circuit is in good agreement with the desired step response.

  • The hydraulic piston using a hydrostatic bearing has been used widely due to its satisfying performance at very high pressurized circumstance and relative higher power density in comparison to conventional one. For high pressurization, enhanced efficiency and long durability of the hydraulic piston, the design of hydrostatic bearing is at issue, which is installed between piston shoe and swash plate. The performance of the hydrostatic bearing is influenced significantly by the assembly of the piston shoe consisting of circular land and recess. In this study, to estimate the performance of the hydrostatic bearing, the characteristics for lubrication of the assembly of the piston shoe were investigated by measuring a leakage rate of hydraulic fluid under an experimental condition, where a rotating velocity of the piston, hydraulic pressure and temperature of the hydraulic fluid were changed systematically. In addition, a film thickness of the hydraulic fluid on the piston shoe was measured and compared to theoretical one.
