  • This study is a descriptive research study to determine the relationship between nursing students' emotional intelligence, communication competence, interpersonal competence, and adaptation to college life, and to identify factors that adaptation to college life. The subjects of the study were 173 nursing students attending a university in G City, and data collection was conducted from September 10 to October 10, 2022 Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were performed on the collected data using SPSS 25.0 program. The results showed a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence(r=.760, p<.001), communication competence(r=.600, p<.001), and interpersonal competence(r=.451, p<.001). Factors that have a significant impact on adaptation to college life include emotional intelligence(𝛽=.543, p<.001), communication competence(𝛽=.433, p=.001), and interpersonal competence(𝛽=.283, p<.031). The total explanatory power of these variables on adaptation to college life was 59.9%, and emotional intelligence was confirmed to be the main influencing factor.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between social support and infertility stress in infertile men. Method: Participants were 120 infertile men in a hospital located S city Korea. The structured questionnaire included social support scale, fertility problem inventory scale. The data were examined using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation with SPSS 25.0. Results: Social support was significantly correlated with infertility stress(r=-.32, p=<.001). Conclusion: Based on this study, infertility stress could be decreased by social support improvement in infertile men. Theses results suggests that infertile men need nursing intervention to minimize infertility stress by promoting social support.

  • This study focused on how it affects the surface roughness of work piece in cutting SCM415 steel, widely used steel in industry, by TiCN and TiN tools. Following conclusion was drawn from several experiments. The surface roughness of heat treated workpiece was better than that of non heat-treated materials. Moreover, the roughness of surface roughness(Ra 0.25) on feeding rate of 0.05 was better when it was in wet process, rather than dry process. As the feeding rate increases, TiCN coating tool shows better roughness of surface than TiN tool. Also, in heated treatment, TiCN coating tool shows the least straightness dimension deviation at feeding rate of 0.05, 0.15mm/rev, and concave-like R shape appears by the feeding rate orders of 0.05, 0.15, 0.1, 0.125 and 0.075mm/rev.

  • The purpose of this study aim to analyze factors that influence the job satisfaction of physical therapist in working in Elderly Care Facilities. The participants were 173 physical therapist was using a self-administered questionnaire. Data was collected from June 12 to 15, 2012 and analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The average physical therapist's job satisfaction was $3.27{\pm}.49$ points. There was significant difference according to work motivation in job satisfaction. 83.4% of participants felt pain. The major causes of the pain were 'repeating the same job constantly(25.5%).' There were statistically significant correlations between pain on movement patterns(r=-.163, p<0.01), duration of pain(r=-.174, p<0.01) and job satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis revealed that job satisfaction became significantly high with work motivation is more definitely. It is necessary to develop job satisfaction management program and musculoskeletal pain policy for physical therapist.

  • Due to the city concentrated symptoms, high-rise building symptoms and diversity, the scale of fire disaster is increasing. So the economic expectation of fire disaster industry is growing. The domestic fire industry has an inadequate system, and hasn't a methodical system to foster the industry. And also most of the fire industry company are small and poor scale. So they haven't enough infrastructure like technical skill, manpower, marketing and so on. In order to drive fire industry from local fire protection industry to knowledge service, in this study, the items of human resources fostering, infrastructure and R&D were set and analyzed as detailed growth analysis factors. Also, the improvement plans were suggested and compared with IT industry which is defined as core industry in the 21st century knowledge-based economy in Korea.

  • In this study, we evaluated complex media with influent sewage water (ISW) to isolate novel taxa of bacteria. It was possible to cultivate 13 genera using the complex media with ISW. Additionally, more diverse genera were identified at 37℃ than at 25℃, using the complex media with ISW. Total 12 strains of 179 bacterial isolates were shared less than 97% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities with any known species. These isolates could be assigned to genera Tessaracoccus, Paracoccus, or Candidimonas (or Paralcaligenes).

  • The particle size distribution and physical stability of commercial lipid emulsion inject, $intralipos^R$ before and after mixture with total parenteral nutrition(TPN) was tested. Three TNAs were prepared by adding intralipos to P-TPN, Neo-TPN and IVH-2 respectively. Particle size of fat emulsion in three TNA preparations were measured by using LPA-3000 photon correlater. Each TNAs was stored for 48 hours at $4^{\circ}C\;and\;25^{\circ}C.$ During storage, three TNAs showed the particle size in the range of 40-1000nm(about $100\%$ of total fat) and in the range of 1000-8000nm(less than $0.005\%$ of total fat). All TNAs were stable in terms of pH and visual appearance. The results showed that added lipid emulsion was stable for 48 hours at $4^{\circ}C\;and\;25^{\circ}C$.

  • Fog may have a significant impact on road conditions. In an attempt to improve fog predictability in Jeju, we conducted machine learning with various data mining techniques such as tree models, conditional inference tree, random forest, multinomial logistic regression, neural network and support vector machine. To validate machine learning models, the results from the simulation was compared with the fog data observed over Jeju(184 ASOS site) and Gosan(185 ASOS site). Predictive rates proposed by six data mining methods are all above 92% at two regions. Additionally, we validated the performance of machine learning models with WRF (weather research and forecasting) model meteorological outputs. We found that it is still not good enough for operational fog forecast. According to the model assesment by metrics from confusion matrix, it can be seen that the fog prediction using neural network is the most effective method.

  • Purpose: This study examined the effect of job stress, depression and perceived health status on job satisfaction among child care teachers. Methods: Data were from a convenient sample of 169 child care teachers with self-administered questionnaires from January 5th to 30th, 2015. Collected data were analysed using SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: Child care teachers had upper-medium level of perceived health status, lower level of depression and job stress and above medium level of job satisfaction. Affecting factors of job satisfaction among child care teachers included depression, and job stress ($Adj.R^2=.58$, F=78.60, p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that development of emotional supportive program and supportive system are needed to increase the job satisfaction among child care teachers. Exploration of strategies to reduce the depression and job stress will be necessary in order to increase the job satisfaction.
