성인(成人) 남자(男子)의 슈트 착용(着用) 실태(實態) 조사(調査) - 도시근로자(都市勤勞者)를 중심(中心)으로 - (A Research on the Suit Wearing Conditions for Men - Based on Urban Workers -)

  • The purpose of this research is to offer basic data for study of men's suits by investigating the wearing conditions of men's suits. For data collection, a questionnaire was composed of a number of times and the reason of the suit wearing, and a number of suits they posses etc. The subjects of this research were male who aged 20-59 and resided in Seoul and the capital region. The results of the research are summarized as the following : 1. The mean age of suit wearing for the first time is 22.7 years old. The younger began to wear the suits earlier than the older. 2. A number of times of suit wearing for a week is more than 5 days mostly. Being educated higher, the ratio of suit wearing is getting higher. And In the case of job, office men, sales men and men whose job of specialization are wearing suits many a time more than a graduate student and a technician. Most of tne men especially 30's$\sim$40's is wearing the suit as a working garment. 3. Most of men is wearing jacket, dress-shirt and necktie in spring and fall, dress-shirt and necktie in summer, and jacket, vest, dress-shirt and necktie in winter. 4. As a general rule, men have about 2 suits for spring/fall and winter, and about 1 suit for summer. Also male has more than 6 ready-made suits and about 1 custom suit. The last, men almost do not use the suspender with suits.

톰 브라운 재킷 디자인에 나타난 섹슈얼리티 표현특성 (The Expressive Characteristics of Sexuality in Thom Browne fashion Jacket)

  • The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics of sexuality expressed in the contemporary modern fashion jacket, especially designer Thom Browne. Thom Browne is a very successful fashion brand that has focused on design of extraordinary theme. In the research methodology, the analysis was carried out over a total of 862 work pieces in the collection of S/S, F/W, RESORT, PRE-FALL from 2010 to 2016. The characteristics of the contemporary expressions of sexualities can be subdivided into four separate categories. First, The demolition is inflated retail, exaggerated shoulder silhouettes, such as short sleeve jacket is mainly used in the form of a women's match with each other and expressed by different materials applied to men. Female jackets are designed for the silhouette to highlight the strong masculine image to highlight additional detail on the chest or vice versa, to express women's jacket to distort the female. Secondly, Sensuality is designed the body of a male was represented by a design that gives a greater masculinity was expressed that the interpretation of the male gender in detail jacket sleeves and wrap the exposed areas of the important men of fashion. Women's jacket by using a see-through material, mainly sensory Castle outward to reveal the concealed body of the female form a natural curve shows the feminine sensuality. Lastly, Incongruity is inadequate representation by sex of clothing to match the jacket and skirt in women's wear it is also unsuitable for revealing gender as male by applying soot forms. The study attempts to find the meaning in that this presents the direction of the creative development of the modern fashion design based on the aesthetic characteristics of Thom Browne fashion appearing in the modern fashion.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the various types of styles and characteristics of Japanese street fashion since the 1990's. The primary source of data has been a collection of visual materials which include snapshots of young men and women in the Japanese street scene starting in the 1990's. To approach the Japanese street fashion comprehensively, I have divided the background of the Japanese fashion into three parts: 1. The birth of various fashion markets like the Dankai junior generation, Hetauma generation and Shinjinrui junior generation. 2. The pursuit of fashion senses like the well-balanced sense of independence and commensalism, uncommon sense and sense of a tassel. 3. A boom in new fashion business types like SPA and select shop. After the 1990's, the Japanese street fashion has changed through the popularity of styles which include the conservative casual style, sexy casual style, Harajuku pop style, and 3 Re(revival, remake, recycle) fashion style. The characteristics of the Japanese street fashion reflects the performance of virtual reality, the sign of style culture, and the communication of process.

패션 컬렉션에 나타난 진패션의 형태적 디자인 특성 (The Design Characteristics of Form of Jean Fashion in Fashion Collections)

  • 이 연구는 진재킷과 진팬츠에 관한 연구로 패션컬렉션에 제시된 진재킷과 진팬츠의 디자인 특성을 분석하고 활용 가능성을 모색함으로써 진패션 디자인 연구와 패션산업의 상품 기획에 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 2007년 S/S시즌에서 2011년 F/W시즌까지의 사진을 수집하여 통계프로그램 SPAW를 활용하여 빈도, 백분율을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하고 결론을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 남성의 진재킷에서 심플한 디테일에 미디움길이, 사각형실루엣을 활용하고, 여성은 여성스러움을 강조한 X자형 실루엣과 쇼트길이의 다양한 디테일을 활용한다. 남성의 진팬츠는 스트레이트 실루엣과 컴포트 실루엣으로 활용하고 여성은 다양한 실루엣, 피트, 길이로 다양한 이미지로 진을 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

타투 패션에 따른 패션감성과 감정연구 (Study on Fashion Sensibility and Emotion through Tattoo Fashion)

  • The objective of this study is to provide the basis to planning the design of commercial products and effective image coordination for various situation in investigating the existence of Tattoo with an examination of fashion sensibilities and emotions as well as in analyzing Tattoo fashions which have an effect on the unique image coordinations in the fashion collection. Stimulus pictures have collected from fashion photographs appeared Tattoo expression released on the fashion collection and selected 35 pieces of pictures out of total through the analysing process in many times. Valuation tools have used with 19 pairs of adjective as fashion sensibilities valuation tool and 13 questionnaire as emotion valuation tool. Data has been collected from August 30th to September 17th on the subject of 20's men and women who live in Busan city area and those data has been analyzed by using SPSS statistics package program. The summary and conclusion of verified outcomes on this study are as follows: 1. Main factors of fashion sensibilities about Tattoo fashion are composed of three factors, such as Attractiveness, Visibility, Maturity and those factors have explained by 60.9%. On the other han, the fashion emotions are composed of negative emotion and positive emotion and explained by 66.3%. 2. The image of Tattoo fashion has shown four groups; Sexy, Romantic, Grotesque, Natural. 3. The positioning according to the image of Tattoo fashion has interpreted that X-axis as Grotesque-Romantic, Y-axis as Simple-Dazzling according to design features.

아비투스 관점에서 바라본 폴 스미스와 패션에 나타난 특징 (Characteristics of Paul Smith and Fashion from the Perspective of Habitus)

  • This study examines the characteristics of Paul Smith's fashion from the viewpoint of Habitus. To this end, on the theory of Bourdieu's Habitus concept and theory of the field, we derive the attributes of fashion and fashion designers and Habitus that appeared in fashion from the viewpoint of Habitus. Based on this, the tendency of Paul Smith's Habitus tendency has been examined and how it is expressed in fashion design and store production has been investigated. The scope of the study is from 1977 to the present, and it covers Paul Smith's menswear and stores. Research methods are literature research and visual data analysis. The results of the study are as follows. The characteristics of Habitus' tendency in Paul Smith are childlike imagination and humor, vigorous curiosity and observation, paranoid collection and memos, and British tradition and craftsmanship. Paul Smith's Habitus propensity reflects the following features in fashion design and store direction. First, a unique mix of wit or list structure, second, respect for uniqueness and discrimination with respect for the local image, and third, the new male image was presented to contribute to the diversification of consumers, and fourth, sensitivity and emotion reflecting his Habitus propensity. It is a friendly space for communication. As a result of analyzing and applying to Paul Smith, it was found that the special Habitus characteristics possessed by designers in fashion are important and impart a great influence.

인터넷 패션 정보탐색에 따른 광고유형별 만족도와 재이용의도에 관한 연구 (The study on satisfaction and intent to reuse by type of advertisement as a result of Internet fashion information search)

  • This study is intended to analyze the effect of fashion consumer's information search on satisfaction with advertisement and the intent to reuse depending on type of advertisement. The survey of the men and women in their 20s and 30s living in Seoul and metropolitan area was conducted for data collection, beginning in 17th through 24th, October 2011. Total 355 copies of questionnaire were used for final data analysis and reliability analysis, factorial analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out using SPSS 16.0. The results were as follows. First, for banner, e-mail and search advertisement, constant information search had influence on convenience for use and satisfaction with information, and for e-mail advertisement, information search appeared to have had effect on satisfaction with information. Second, constant information search by type of advertisement had effect on intent to reuse. Third, convenience for use, information and satisfaction with the interest by Internet user had influence on the intent to reuse, while for the user of search advertisement, convenience for use and satisfaction with information had effect on the intent to reuse.

샤넬 오뜨 꾸뛰르 디자인의 미적 특성 (The Esthetic Characteristics in Chanel's Haute Couture Design)

  • This study is on the esthetic characteristics in the haute couture work of Chanel. It first reviews the lives and the fashion philosophy of Chanel, a senior designer and Lagerfeld as representatives of the maison, from the haute couture collection since 2000. The results of the study are the following. First, reinterpreting the tradition, Chanel reproduced historical dress items or silhouette with modern sense, or she created a new modern Chanel image through her original restructuring and dismantling. Second, Chanel expressed balanced beauty of compounded eclecticism by accord between simplicity and ornamentation, which meant her design showed impartial beauty with simple silhouette, decoration with colors, accessories, and ornaments. Third, Chanel did not divide the value between men and women, and instead expressed androgyny through dismantling each gender's characteristics by borrowing or mixing. As a result, she emphasized the female image or created a new style through expressing symbolic image embracing masculinity.

7대 디지털 패션위크의 비교분석 연구 (Comparative Analysis of Seven Digital Fashion Weeks)

  • In the COVID-19 era, globally, companies in the fashion industry are pursuing new convergence methods through digital technology. Conventional fashion shows have become difficult to run exclusively, instead, the shows are run through a combination of offline and digital arrangements. This paper examines the trends of seven digital fashion show weeks in London, Paris, Milan, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo, and presents strategies applicable in Korea's Seoul Digital Fashion Week. We focused on the digital technology used in the digital fashion weeks fashion brands, and the characteristics of the host cities. The study conducted a literature review and case study through corporate and research report data, and the Fashion Week website. Based on the study results, changes in fashion industry calendars like 'See now, Buy now', seasonless, and unified collections for men and women, expansion of D2C system, the rise of short-form contents, and the expansion to the virtual world space and physical limitations can be cited as changed trends. The study provides insight into the incorporation of the Korean Wave and K-Pop singers, industrial structure change, and the establishment of B2B system in the Seoul digital fashion week. The shift to the digital runway is not only an alternative method to cope with the COVID-19 era but also a new "new normal". Fashion shows are no longer fixed and planned in free spaces. As a venue displaying the creator's personality, digital fashion week is expected advance in the future.

알렉산더 맥퀸 디자인에 나타난 아방가르드적 해체주의 특성 (Characteristics of avant-garde deconstruction-ism expressed in Alexander McQueen's Design)

  • This study aims to analyze the characteristics of deconstruction-ism expressed in the fashion of Alexander McQueen. The method and contents of this study are as follows. The three large categories for analysis are indeterminacy, decentralization, and intertextuality. The indeterminacy of meaning is divided into unstructured and unorganized factors in fashion, while decentralization can be categorized into cross-gender, subculture, and post-humanism. Lastly, inter-textuality is classified into factors of mixing mode and mixed styles. Materials for analysis were chosen from a total of 616 designs from the website, www.firstview.com, which carries McQueen's collection from 2000 S/S through 2007 F/W. My analysis qualitatively evaluates the frequency of each category and the characteristics of design. The result of this study is as followed. First, the avant-garde facets of inter-textuality are most prominent. In particular, McQueen has introduced retro fashion and ethnic factors of the third world, not to copy them but to create hybrid designs by using pastiches and mixing fashion styles. Moreover, he has enjoyed using two fabrics of different texture in order to inflict a shock and contrast, thus enriching his fashion. Second, the indeterminacy of meaning is the second most frequently shown facet of McQueen's fashion design. McQueen has employed unstructured expression techniques, which dismantle harmony and balance, the basic rule of design, and has presented unorganized images free from basic forms of design. He has made a new attempt to acknowledge clothing as an expressive artwork by allowing clothes to take a complete form when a person actually wears them. Third, the aspects of decentralization were also shown in McQueen's design. His trans-gender clothing dissolves the traditional division of men and women and adopts a mixed gender expression. Furthermore, he has even tried to express a fourth gender by connecting the human with machine or animal or by connecting the material with the non-material.
