  • In this paper, two algorithms are presented for the optimum design of geometrically nonlinear steel space frames using tabu search. The first algorithm utilizes the features of short-term memory (tabu list) facility and aspiration criteria and the other has long-term memory (back-tracking) facility in addition to the aforementioned features. The design algorithms obtain minimum weight frames by selecting suitable sections from a standard set of steel sections such as American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) wide-flange (W) shapes. Stress constraints of AISC Allowable stress design (ASD) specification, maximum drift (lateral displacement) and interstorey drift constraints were imposed on the frames. The algorithms were applied to the optimum design of three space frame structures. The designs obtained using the two algorithms were compared to each other. The comparisons showed that the second algorithm resulted in lighter frames.

  • We design the Green-Naghdi model type III (GN-III) with widespread thermoelasticity for a thermoelectric half space using a memory-dependent derivative rule (MDD). Laplace transformations and state-space techniques are used in order to find the general solution for any set of limit conditions. A basic question of heat shock charging half space and a traction-free surface was added to the formulation in the present situation of a traveling heat source with consistent heating speed and ramp-type heating. The Laplace reverse transformations are numerically recorded. There are called the impacts of several calculations of the figure of the value, heat source spead, MDD parameters, magnetic number and the parameters of the ramping period.

  • Video proxy server which is located near clients can store the frequently requested video data in storage space in order to minimize initial latency and network traffic significantly. However, due to the limited storage space in video proxy server, an appropriate video selection method is needed to store the videos which are frequently requested by users. Thus, we present a virtual caching technique to efficiently store the video in video proxy server. For this purpose, we employ a virtual memory in video poky server. If the video is requested by user, it is loaded in virtual memory first and then, delivered to the user. A video which is loaded in virtual memory is deleted or moved into the storage space of video poxy sewer depending on the request condition. In addition, virtual memory is divided into each segment area in order to store the segments efficiently and to avoid the fragmentation. The simulation results show that the proposed method performs better than other methods in terms of the block hit rate and the number of block deletion.

  • In this paper, we present the implementation of proton beam irradiation test logic and test results for Xilinx's RFSoC FPGA. In addition to the FPGA function, RFSoC is a chip that integrates CPU, ADC, and DAC and is attracting attention in the defense and space industries aimed at reducing the size of the chip. In order to use these chips in a space environment, an analysis of radiation effects was required and radiation mitigation measures were required. Through the proton irradiation test, the logic to measure the radiation effect of RFSoC was designed. Logic for comparing values stored in memory with normal values was implemented, and protons were irradiated to RFSoC to measure SEU generated in the block memory area. To alleviate the occurrence of SEU in other areas, TMR and SEM were applied and designed. Through the test results, we intend to verify this test configuration and establish an environment in which logic design for satellites can be verified in the future.

  • This study has analysed the composition elements in a cafe space where visual transfer-elements are filled and the perceptual characteristics of facade designs with the purpose of drawing any important elements to advertisement and their related items for uniqueness of designs. For the analysis of the perception process shown in the consecutive situations of observing and visiting cafes, the cafe facade was grouped and stereotyped for the analysis of perceptual characteristics and significant composition elements for better designing of cafes through survey with representative facades as subjects. The conclusions from this study are the followings. First, for the uniqueness specific to cafes to be integrated into facade, memory was chosen first as the most significant advertisement factor followed by interest as with male and attention as with female. The memory has much to do with furniture and finishing material of Clause (4), Chapter 4.1 and the types having effects on perception of Clause (1) and the atmosphere having effect on that of Clause (2) were found to be major factors to attention and interest. Second, it was found out that women preferred horizontally stable partition and men clearly divided facades. The factor of shape was observed first among the constituents of facade followed by color. There was no difference with 'shape' between men and women and color was found to be a space constituent having a lot of effects on women. Third, the memory of experience from visiting a cafe was very likely to offer the motivation of visiting it again, on which furniture had the most effect followed by finishing material and color. Such elevation elements as facade and logo were found not to have effect on the memory or the re-visit. Any intention of visiting again seemed to be influenced by such comprehensive images as atmosphere rather than by any concrete facade, furniture, or appliance. From the above viewpoint, facade design should have any uniqueness or impressive feature as well as the effect of making passers-by drop in and attracting them into the shop. The analysis of attributes of facade constituents revealed that the abstract images in addition to the configuration of facade had much to do with interest or behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to present possibility about applying space design of urban theory focused on collective memory. Urban which is the final data of human's collective life has been recognized creative circumstances human collective is living. It can not think without collective from its motivation to problem of form as well as building as element which compose these cities. It is to recognize essential attribute of construction in the collective that think architecture with urban, and It means that recognize actuality of architecture that can talk as the most collective product that represent human. There was discussion for collective and urban. But, this problem was proceeded to clear human knowledge of architecture mainly in other discipline, and even if speak as field of architecture, it could just pass confined meaning by refering at process that clear several main aspects of architecture as doing not pass over more than it. Problem of form that is ultimate aspect of architecture remained by different thing still doing not combine with collective architecture, and occasionally happened the case that make collective of architecture and relation of form overly incommodiously reducing form by a tool for diagram, shape, figuration in the aspect of collective. This research study concept for memory collective in the urban and collective of architecture, and choose urban planning methodology and their work by specific example between Aldo Rosi and Rem Koolhaas dealing with architecture and urban, and present possibility about space design of urban.

  • In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the impulsive semilinear fuzzy integrodifferential equations with nonlocal conditions and forcing term with memory in n-dimensional fuzzy vector space ($E^n_N$, $d_{\varepsilon}$) by using Banach fixed point theorem. That is an extension of the result of Kwun et al. [9] to impulsive system.

  • The methods of forming the bus impedance matrix, which is mainly employed in fault analysis of power system, can be generally classified in catagories, (1) the one being the inverse matrix of bus admittance matrix, and (2) the other the bus impedance matrix succesive formation method by particular algorithms. The former method is theouetically elegant, but the formation and inverse of complex bus admittance matrix for large power system requires too much amounts of computer memory space and computing time. The latter method also requires too much memory space. Therefore, in this paper, an algorithm and computer program is introduced for the formation of a sparse bus impedance matrix which generates only the matching terms of the admittance matrix. So, this method can reduce the computer memory and computing time, and can be applied to fault analysis of large power system by small digital computer.

  • Selectivity estimation for spatial query is curial in Spatial Database Management Systems(SDBMS). Many works have been performed to estimate accurate selectivity. Although they deal with some problems such as false-count, multi-count arising from properties of spatial dataset, they can not get such effects in little memory space.* Therefore, we need to compress spatial dataset into little memory. In this paper, we propose a new technique called MW Histogram which is able to compress summary data and get reasonable results. Our method is based on two techniques:(a)MinSkew partitioning algorithm which deal with skewed spatial datasets. efficiently (b) Wavelet transformation which compression effect is proven. We evaluate our method via real datasets. The experimental result shows that the MW Histogram has the ability of providing estimates with low relative error and retaining the similar estimates even if memory space is small.
