고속 차량 충돌 사고 대비를 위한 충격 흡수용 자기식 댐퍼 설계 (Design of a New Linear Magnetic Damper for Shock-Absorbing from Crash Accident of High Speed Vehicles)

  • This paper proposes a new linear magnetic damper for absorbing shock from a crash accident involving high speed vehicles. The magnetic damper is composed of a conductive plate, a yoke and permanent magnets which are constructed to a Halbach array to improve the damping force. In order to calculate the damping force, finite element analysis(FEA) using J-Mag, a commercial FEA tool, is performed and the results are validated by the experiment. Also, the design optimization of the plate generating the eddy current causing the damping force performed to obtain the most efficient damping force. Finally, the specifications and the performance of the proposed magnetic damper are represented.

  • This paper presents a design and analysis of torque characteristics of a two-phase SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) for high speed blower system. To reduce the electrical frequency and core losses at high speed region, In order to reduce torque ripple and torque dead-band, variable rotor air-gap structure is adopted and the air-gap is optimized according to torque production. The optimized torque output is verified by the FEM results.

  • This paper proposes a high efficiency hybrid generator which has a winding and PM(Permanent Magent) field together. The PM field can supply the enough flux to generate the no-load output voltage, and the field winding current can supply the flux to compensate the voltage drop from the load. Furthermore, the PM exciter can supply the enough power for the field of the generator. The detailed design and the FEM analysis are presented to verify the proposed hybrid generator. Then the experimental results shows the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • 본 논문에서는 세탁기의 DD Moter로 사용되고 있는 BLDCM을 대신하여 세탁기의 부하에 따른 세탁모드와 탈수모드의 특징에 만족시키는 외전형 SRM을 설계하였다. 이와 같은 특징을 고려하여 외전형 SRM의 극 조합으로 12/8, 18/12, 36/24 극에 대해 설계하고 유한요소해석법을 통해 외전형 SRM의 특성을 해석하였다. 본 논문에서는 세탁기용 전동기에 알맞은 구조로 18/12극이 적절한 것으로 평가되었다.

  • Design of high efficiency Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) for Low Speed Electric Vehicle (LSEV) is presented in this paper. The design is made from point of view to save more used energy for operating LSEV. Focus on saving the energy gives more efficiency can be produced. Based on applying suitable driving cycles and investigates the frequently power used are foundation to design the proposed motor. Meanwhile through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) characteristic of the proposed motor such as inductance and torque profile can be obtained.

  • Design and drive characteristics of SR drive for hydraulic pump system using passive converter is presented in this paper. In oder to get the high performance, a simple passive circuit is added in the front-end of a conventional asymmetric converter, which consists of three diodes and one capacitor. This passive converter has the high demagnetization voltage, to reduce the demagnetization time. Futhermore optimal turn-off angle for the proposed passive converter is proposed. According to motor speed and current, an optimal turn-off angle can be achieved by look-up table to reduce torque ripple. The characteristic of proposed hydraulic pump system using passive converter is verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • In this paper, a novel structure Bearingless SRM with hybrid stator poles is proposed. The motor torque can be controlled independently from radial force control. Analytical models of torque and radial force for proposed structure are explained. Based on these models, control scheme of desired radial force is proposed. In this control method, the magnitude of force can be controlled in arbitrary direction and magnitude by selecting some combinations of radial force windings. The validities of structure and control method are verified by the experimental results when motor is at standstill and running.

  • The increment of electric power demand causes interest on new higher power system such as 42V Power Net, and furthermore necessity for development of energy storage device is highlighted recently. Owing to high efficiency and easy speed control of brushless DC(BLDC) motor, the demand of BLDC motor that has high power and low noises are increasing. Especially demand of interior permanent magnet(IPM) type BLDC with high efficiency and high power in electric motion vehicle is increasing. This paper presents the design of the BLBC motor for EHPS(Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering) in 42V system and verified the characteristics by simulation and test results.

  • Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSM) are expanding the application extent for industrial applications. Because that High efficiency and wide speed range are required in applications of electric vehicles, spindle drives and compressors and so on. The performance of IPMSM are deeply affected by the current phase control.
