소의 친자감정을 위한 Microsatellite markers의 유전적 다양성 분석 (Analysis of genetic diversity for cattle parentage testing using microsatellite markers)

  • The objective of present study was to ascertain genetic diversity for cattle parentage testing. A total of 59 random cattle samples(29 Korean native cattle and 30 dairy cows) were genotyped by using 11 microsatellite loci(BM1824, BM2113, ETH10, ETH225, EH3, INRA23, SPS115, TGLA122, TGLA227, TGLA53, and TGLA126). This method consisted of multiplexing PCR procedure and showed reasonable amplification of all PCR products. Genotyping was performed with an ABI 310 genetic analyzer. The number of alleles per locus varied from 5 to 11 with a mean value of 6.73 in the Korean native cattle(KNC), 4 to 9 with a mean of 5.91 in dairy cows(DC). Expected heterozygosity was ranged 0.534~0.855(mean 0.732), 0.370~0.866(mean 0.692) in the KNC and DC, respectively. PIC value was ranged 0.485~0.821(mean 0.684), 0.336~0.834(mean 0.640) in the KNC and DC, respectively. Of the 11 markers, 7 markers(ETH10, EH3, INRA23, SPS115, TGLA122, TGLA227, TGLA53) and 3 markers(INRA23, TGLA227, TGLA53) have relatively high PIC value (>0.7) in the KNC and DC, respectively. The total exclusion probability of 11 microsatellite loci was 0.9997 and 0.9991 in the KNC and DC, respectively. These results present basic information for developing a system for parentage verification and individual identification in the KNC and DC.

Quantitative T2 Mapping of Articular Cartilage of the Glenohumeral Joint at 3.0T in Rotator Cuff Disease Patients: the Evaluation of Degenerative Change of Cartilage

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the T2 value of the articular cartilage of the glenohumeral joint in rotator cuff disease displayed on 3.0T MRI and to apply it in clinical practice. Materials and Methods: This study involved sixty-two patients who underwent shoulder MRI containing T2 mapping. The mean T2 value was measured by placing a free hand ROI over the glenoid or humeral cartilage from the bone-cartilage interface to the articular surface on three consecutive, oblique coronal images. The drawn ROI was subsequently divided into superior and inferior segments. The assessed mean T2 values of the articular cartilage of the glenohumeral joint were compared and evaluated based on the degree of rotator cuff tear, the degree of fatty atrophy of the rotator cuff, and the acromiohumeral distance. Results: ICC values between two readers indicated moderate or good reproducibility. The mean T2 value for the articular cartilage of the glenoid and humeral head cartilage failed to show any significant difference based on the degree of rotator cuff tear. However, the mean T2 values of articular cartilage, based on fatty atrophy, tended to be higher in fatty atrophy 3 or fatty atrophy 4 groups while some subregions displayed significantly higher mean T2 values. There was no correlation between the acromiohumeral distance and the mean T2 values of the articular cartilage of the glenoid and humeral head. Conclusion: T2 mapping of the glenohumeral joint failed to show any significant difference in quantitative analysis of the degenerative change of the articular cartilage based on the degree of rotator cuff tear. However, it also offers quantitative information on the degenerative change of cartilage of the glenohumeral joint in patients with rotator cuff tear and severe fatty atrophy of the rotator cuff.

  • Objectives: We classified items required for dental hygienists' ethics training by domains. We administered a survey on experts using the Delphi method to collect opinions for guiding future trainings. Methods: 33 participants were selected and analyzed using the Delphi method thrice. Results: For relationships with patients, the item "1.3.1.1 I can keep the confidentiality of the information obtained from patients, including mature minors, related to their specific disease and treatment during medical care as well as other personal information of the patients." had the highest mean value (mean=4.88). For medical and social relations, "2.3.2.2 I can understand how staff provide dental services as a team and explain a dental hygienist's roles and responsibilities that enable a team to function effectively." had the highest mean value (mean=4.85). For individual specialized fields, "3.1.1.1 I can explain the roles and responsibilities in public health of individuals, the public, the state and professional dental hygienist." showed the highest mean value (mean=4.82). Conclusions: We identified 3 categories, 14 sub-categories, and 53 items on the scope of training and standards for ethical competencies for practical applications in professional ethics training of dental hygienists.

  • Due to the large scale application of software systems, software reliability plays an important role in software developments. In this paper, a software reliability growth model (SRGM) is proposed. The testing time on the right is truncated in this model. The instantaneous failure rate, mean-value function, error detection rate, reliability of the software, estimation of parameters and the simple applications of this model are discussed .

  • The notion of approximate derivative was introduced by Denjoy in 1916 [3]. Khintchine [5] proved that Rolle's theorem holds for approximate derivatives and Tolstoff [8] proved that every approximate derivative is of Baire class 1 and has Darboux property. Goffman and Neugebauer [4] proved the above results of Tolstoff [8] in a different and simplified method. Also they [4] proved indirectly (via Darboux property) that approximate derivatives possess mean value property.

  • 가공물을 한 개씩 작업하는 단일작업기계와 여러 개의 가공물을 한꺼번에 작업하는 배치 기계를 포함한 재진입 라인 시스템에서 각 기계가 고장이 일어날 수 있고, 불량품이 발생할 때, 이 시스템에서의 가공물의 생산주기를 구하는 방법을 Mean Value Analysis(MVA)를 이용하여 제시하고자 한다. 배치 기계와 고장 발생, 불량품 발생 등의 이유의 이런 시스템은 승법형 대기행렬 모형으로 모형화 할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 각 기계에서의 체류 시간을 구하여 전 시스템의 생산 주기를 구하는 방법을 MVA 를 이용하여 제시한다.

  • In this paper, we present the three-step mean value iterative scheme and prove that the iteration sequence converge strongly to a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mappings and the set of the solutions of the variational inclusions under some mild conditions. The results presented in this paper extend, generalize and improve the results of Noor and Huang and some others.
