Probabilistic Model for Performance Analysis of a Heuristic with Multi-byte Suffix Matching

  • A heuristic with multi-byte suffix matching plays an important role in real pattern matching algorithms. By skipping many characters at a time in the process of comparing a given pattern with the text, the pattern matching algorithm based on a heuristic with multi-byte suffix matching shows a faster average search time than algorithms based on deterministic finite automata. Based on various experimental results and simulations, the previous works show that the pattern matching algorithms with multi-byte suffix matching performs well. However, there have been limited studies on the mathematical model for analyzing the performance in a standard manner. In this paper, we propose a new probabilistic model, which evaluates the performance of a heuristic with multi-byte suffix matching in an average-case search. When the theoretical analysis results and experimental results were compared, the proposed probabilistic model was found to be sufficient for evaluating the performance of a heuristic with suffix matching in the real pattern matching algorithms.

Studies on the Degree of Genetic Divergence for Different Quantitative Traits Between Paremntal Lines of Silkworm, Bombyx mori L., Hybrids

  • A study was conducted to establish the degree of genetic divergence between different hybrid forms and rearing conditions through estimation of the minimum number of genes (allelic pairs) differentiating parents in terms of specific quantitative traits. It was established that the minimum gene numbers differentiating parental lines in the inheritance of cocoon was 1, of cocoon shell weight- between 1 and 2, and of silk filament length- between 2 and 3. The variability in the specific genetic parameter could be explained by the reliability of the statistical-and-genetic method used and the expression of genes affecting the formation of each of the characters tested. Gene expression, in its turns is conditioned both by the gene interaction within the genotypes and the different genotype response to environmental change. To go deep in the problem, experiments should be conducted under strictly controlled conditions, reducing the mathematical-and-genetic analysis to a physiological levels and hence to analyse the genetic nature of the specific quantitative character formation and its genetic control.

A Mathematical model to estimate the wind power using three parameter Weibull distribution

  • Weibull distribution is a suitable distribution to use in modeling the life time data. It has been found to be a exact fit for the empirical distribution of the wind speed measurement samples. In brief this paper consist of important properties and characters of Weibull distribution. Also we discuss the application of Weibull distribution to wind speed measurements and derive an expression for the probability distribution of the power produced by a wind turbine at a fixed location, so that the modeling problem reduces to collecting data to estimate the three parameters of the Weibull distribution using Maximum likelihood Method.

Systematization Design of Linear Actuator by using CAE System

  • In this paper, we introduce the design method using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) which is profitable in the compatibility and standardization of the developed product, and the reduction of construction time and price to develop and design a machine equipment. Particularly, we select the standard model to design or develop from the large machinery to the super precision one, extract the peculiar characters of the model by the close analysis on the physical and technical part, the experiment for the characteristics of objective dimensions by analogical mathematical analysis for previous results, and can induce the design model demanded by user investigating optimal data in the design previous. We present the analogical algorithms and process method of design factors and restriction factors in the systematization design with computer. Then we analyze step functions for each systematization equipment and induce the process of technical data with actuator model.

On The Function Rings of Pointfree Topology

  • The purpose of this note is to compare the rings of continuous functions, integer-valued or real-valued, in pointfree topology with those in classical topology. To this end, it first characterizes the Boolean frames (= complete Boolean algebras) whose function rings are isomorphic to a classical one and then employs this to exhibit a large class of frames for which the functions rings are not of this kind. An interesting feature of the considerations involved here is the use made of nonmeasurable cardinals. In addition, the integer-valued function rings for Boolean frames are described in terms of internal lattice-ordered ring properties.

  • 3D 게임그래픽 표현기술은 게임콘텐츠발전과 함께 콘텐츠 분야에서 중요한 요소가 되었다. 특히 게임 캐릭터 표현 기술은 사실적인 그래픽 기술과 시각적인 즐거움을 주는 것 이외에 게임을 진행하는 게임에 대한 몰입도의 중간 단계역할을 하며 플레이어가 마치 게임 속에서 영웅적인 모험을 즐길 수 있도록 착각을 만들어 낸다. 3D 게임에 있어서 게임캐릭터의 높은 완성도는 개발과정 가운데 캐릭터 설정작업의 세심한 디테일작업과 신중함이 주요요인으로 작용한다[3]. 본 논문에서는 게임구현을 위하여 인지적 AI 알고리즘이 적용된 3D 유니티 게임 엔진을 사용하여 radiosity의 수학적인 모델과 기본적인 radiosity 모델, 점진적 개선 radiosity 모델 기법을 방법론을 소개하고, 모바일 게임에 적용한 캐릭터 표현기법을 제안하려고 한다. 게임엔진에 실제적으로 적용하여보니 렌더링과정과 모의실험에서 표면의 투영도는 게임콘텐츠 환경의 조명도에 따라 변화됨을 발견 할 수 있어서, 전체적으로 질 높은 게임캐릭터가 완성되었음이 확인 되었다.

초등학교 수학교과서 스토리텔링 분석 - 3학년을 중심으로 (An Analysis of Storytelling in Elementary Mathematics Textbooks - focusing on Grade Three)

  • 본 연구에서는 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 3학년 수학교과서에 제시된 스토리텔링을 분석하였다. 스토리텔링은 메시지, 갈등, 등장인물, 플롯으로 구성되는데 이 구성요소들은 일관성이 있어야 하고 학습 내용에 초점이 맞추어져야 한다. 특히, 갈등이 분명하고 클수록 학생들에게 학습 동기를 부여하고, 학생들이 학습과 문제해결에 적극 참여할 것이다. 3학년 교사용 지도서에 제시된 스토리텔링은 대체로 메시지는 불분명하고, 갈등은 대부분 없거나 궁금증이나 호기심을 유발하는 정도이고, 등 인물의 성격이 불분명하여 그로 인한 갈등이 없으며, 플롯은 개연성이 부족하였다. 수학교과서에 스토리텔링을 도입한 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 스토리텔링이 재구성되고 개선되어야 할 것이다.

초등학교 수학 교과서 개선과 편찬 상의 이슈 분석: 2015 개정 초등학교 수학 국정 교과용 도서를 중심으로 (An Analysis of Improvement and Compilation Issues of Mathematics Textbooks for Elementary Schools: Focusing on the 2015 Revised Elementary School Mathematics Textbook Government Published)

  • 본 논문은 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 수학국정 교과용 도서 편찬의 과정과 결과를 분석하여 향후 교과용 도서 편찬을 위한 시사점을 모색하였다. 2015 개정 초등 수학 국정 교과서 편찬은 전국의 학계와 학교 현장 전문가들이 전문성을 발휘할 수 있도록 체계적인 편찬 시스템을 갖추고 운영되었다. 내용상의 개선 사항으로는 기초 계산 능력 강화를 위한 단원과 차시를 증대하고, 수학 개념과 원리 도입 방식이나 알고리즘 제시 방식 개선 및 내용 간의 내적 연결성을 강화하였다. 학생들에게 이해가 어려운 내용은 상위 학기나 상위 학년으로 이동 배치하여 학습 시기를 조정하였다. 1~2학년군에서는 학생들의 한글수준에 맞게 읽을 분량을 대폭 축소하고, 문장과 어휘 개선 및 지시문을 간결하게 수정하였다. 편집·디자인 개선 사항으로는 단원별 도입 차시의 삽화와 차시별 맥락 그림을 세밀화로 연계하여 제시하였고, 교과서에 등장하는 인물들을 전 학년군에 걸쳐 일관성있게 제시하였다. 편찬 과정에서 교과서의 문장과 어휘 수준, 교과서 분량, 수학 익힘 문제 난이도 등 이슈가 제기되었으며, 이에 따른 교과서 편찬 개선 노력과 그 결과를 조망하였다. 위와 같이 전반적인 분석을 통하여, 향후 국정 교과서 및 검정 교과서 등 편찬을 위해 학생과 교사를 위한 교과서 편찬 개선 방안과 편찬 운영 방안을 제시하였다.

반영적 추상화와 조작적 수학 학습-지도 (Reflective Abstraction and Operational Instruction of Mathematics)

  • This study began with an epistemological question about the nature of mathematical cognition in relation to the learner's activity. Therefore, by examining Piaget's 'reflective abstraction' theory which can be an answer to the question, we tried to get suggestions which can be given to the mathematical education in practice. 'Reflective abstraction' is formed through the coordination of the epistmmic subject's action while 'empirical abstraction' is formed by the characters of observable concrete object. The reason Piaget distinguished these two kinds of abstraction is that the foundation for the peculiar objectivity and inevitability can be taken from the coordination of the action which is shared by all the epistemic subjects. Moreover, because the mechanism of reflective abstraction, unlike empirical abstraction, does not construct a new operation by simply changing the result of the previous construction, but is forming re-construction which includes the structure previously constructed as a special case, the system which is developed by this mechanism is able to have reasonability constantly. The mechanism of the re-construction of the intellectual system through the reflective abstraction can be explained as continuous spiral alternance between the two complementary processes, 'reflechissement' and 'reflexion'; reflechissement is that the action moves to the higher level through the process of 'int riorisation' and 'thematisation'; reflexion is a process of 'equilibration'between the assimilation and the accomodation of the unbalance caused by the movement of the level. The operational learning principle of the theorists like Aebli who intended to embody Piaget's operational constructivism, attempts to explain the construction of the operation through 'internalization' of the action, but does not sufficiently emphasize the integration of the structure through the 'coordination' of the action and the ensuing discontinuous evolvement of learning level. Thus, based on the examination on the essential characteristic of the reflective abstraction and the mechanism, this study presents the principles of teaching and learning as following; $\circled1$ the principle of the operational interpretation of knowledge, $\circled2$ the principle of the structural interpretation of the operation, $\circled3$ the principle of int riorisation, $\circled4$ the principle of th matisation, $\circled5$ the principle of coordination, reflexion, and integration, $\circled6$ the principle of the discontinuous evolvement of learning level.
