  • The mechanical etching technique has recently been developed to a powder blasting technique for various materials, capable of producing micro structures larger than 100$\mu\textrm{m}$. This paper describes the performance of powder blasting technique in micromachining of pyrex for the accelerometer sensor and the effect of the number of nozzle scanning and the stand-off distance on the erosion depth.

조선왕실 의궤를 통해 본 옻칠 공예품 제작 방법 및 사용 재료 연구 (Study on Analysis of manufacturing technique and Materials used for Lacquerware artifacts with focus on Joseon Dynasty Records, Uigwe)

  • 조선 왕실의 의궤를 기록된 옻칠 공예품에 관한 제작방법 및 사용재료를 연구하여, 칠기 유물의 보존처리 방안 수립 시 응용하고자 한다. 문헌조사는 "영조정순왕후가례도감의궤(1759)", "정조국장도감의궤(1800)"를 중심으로 하였다. 의궤에 기록된 옻칠 공예품의 경우, 옻칠은 주홍칠朱紅漆, 흑진칠黑眞漆, 석간주칠石磵朱柒로 나타난다. 왕에게 진상되는 물품에는 밑칠에 주로 콩가루를 사용하였고, 그 외에는 콩가루와 골회를 혼용하였다. 밑칠에 송연을 첨가하여 사용하기도 하였다. 왜주홍칠은 전칠을 칠한 후 매칠에 왜주홍을 배합하여 사용한다. 당주홍칠에는 일부 석간주와 주토를 혼용하여 사용하였다. 흑진칠은 전칠과 매칠을 이용하여 칠하는 것을 기본으로 일부 송연을 첨가하여 사용하기도 한다. 석간주칠에는 석간주를 기본으로 주토를 혼용하여 사용하였다. 마지막으로 명유를 이용하여 광택을 내어주었다고 사료된다. 문헌을 통해 조사된 옻칠 공예품의 제작방법과 전통재료가 옻칠 공예품의 보존처리 방안 수립 시 응용된다면 보다 나은 결과를 도출할 수 있을 것이다.

토치 회전식 자동용접 시스템의 용접공정변수 최적선정 (Optimum-selection in the Welding Process Variable for Torch-rotation Method of Automation Welding-machine System)

  • The purpose of this welding process of the exclusive welding-machine using welding torch-rotation type is to develop a mechanism which can solve the problem of twisting of welding wires and cables. The technique was developed by revising the torch position and smooth controlling of both the normal and reverse rotation. Some of the advantages of using the torch-rotation type apply to the work-rotation technique are the practical uses of increased work space and link work with the factory automation system. Do apply the welding process, I designed and made a special unit so called torch part in order to solve the problems of kinematical. And I made a control panel which can manipulate the progress of the entire process at the work shop. Even if it will be applied to another kind of axle casing's welding work, this process can be utilized if other sizes of the fixed pin and work part is produced and changed. The development of this exclusive welding-machine could reduce the manpower of skilled welding labor and increase productivity and better quality product in comparison to the handmade product.

  • In order to reduce lean-time and cost, recently the technology of Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing(PR/M) has been used widely. So various RP/M methods have been developed and these systems commercialized several years ago. The machining process is one of these methods. It also offers advantages such as precision and versatility. But there are some considerations during machining. The most important problem among them is the fixturing. So we have to overcome the limitation because the fixturing time is depend on the complexity of geometry to be machined. In this paper, we have developed the fixturing technique using filling process that can be widely useful for rapid products within a short time. So we have carried out some kinds of rapid products such as plastic knob and metal fan using our fixturing process. In fixturing step, the filling material might chosen a resin or a alloy according to wether the work material is plastic or metal respectively. Also we developed the set-up equipment attachable on the table of the milling machine that provided practicable quality during a series of machining operations, named by two step milling process.

  • Machining technique for optical crystals with single point diamond turning tool is reported in this paper. The main factors influencing the machined surface quality are studied and regularities of machining process are drawn. Optical crystals have been known to more and more important applications in the field of modern optics. Ge is more brittle material of poor machinability. The traditional machining method is polishing which has many shortcomings such as low production efficiency, poor ability to be automatically controlled and edge effect of the workpiece. The purpose of our research is to find the optimum machining conditions for ductile cutting of Ge and apply the SPDTM technique to the manufacturing of ultra precision optical components of Ge. As a result, the surface roughness is the best when cutting speed is 180m/min, feed rate is 2mm/min, depth of cut is $0.5{\mu}m$ and nose radius of tool is 0.8mm.

  • This study focused on the expression technique and work manufacturing of nail design. Any woman that wants to be pretty is interested in nail design which is considered as a means to express beauty, intelligence and sensuality. These days, nail design carries heavy weight in completion of total fashion coordination. Good dress, elegant hair style, bright make-up and well-trimmed nails are requirements of modem women. These days, the range of nail design is more expanding and its importance is getting bigger. To maintain and establish such developmental flow properly, we have to break our stereotyped view on nails and accept it in open view. And we have to actively participate in development of new products and technologies and perform academic research on nail design. For the purpose, we have to consider further studies which contribute to understanding exact meaning of nails and necessity and importance of nails.

  • RP techniques have inherent disadvantages caused by their working principles: stair-stepped surface of parts due to layer-by-layer stacking of layers, low build speed caused by line-by-line solidification to finish one layer, and post processing to improve surface finish, etc. The objective of this study is to propose a new RP technique, variable deposition manufacturing (VDM), which can make up for the disadvantages of the existing RP techniques, and to develop an apparatus to implement the technique. The proposed process can greatly reduce the building time and improve the surface finish of parts generated. The experiments are carried out to obtain the range of temperature of molten material to maintain its fluidity and to investigate the effect of gas cooling on the preservation of the slopes. Based on the results, some simple shapes such as a line-shape. an S-shape, and a circle-shape were fabricated from Ethylene Vinyl Acetatecopolymer (EVA). In order to examine the applicability of VDM to more general shapes, a tensile specimen and a yo-yo shape were manufactured by the proposed RP method using EVA material as the first trial approach. The present basic study has shown the possibility of a practicable utilization of the proposed VDM process to prototyping of a general three-dimensional shape.

  • The localization of manufacturing technique development is actualizing for low cost with supplies of display devices. We need more high cutting technique because consumers want flat glasses of various sizes. Recently, most general two methods are normal wheel cutting and laser cutting, but both of them have some faults. First, the wheel cutting has cracks and sharp edges of sections. Second, it is easy for laser cutting to cut curved lines. however, it has thermal damage and low traverse speed. I suggest a new cutting method by high-wave frequency vibration wheel cutting(HFVC), which is good for quality improvement. Vertical cracks and crack depth is observed, after HFVC. When the average of the crack depth is $30{\mu}m$ and the average of the wallner liner depth is $200{\mu}m$, it has the most high quality of the sections in this experiment. As a result, when we consider between the normal wheel cutting method and the HFVC method, the latter has low cracks and good quality.

TRIZ 기법을 통한 휴대가 용이한 Drone 설계 (Portable-size Drone Design Using TRIZ Method)

  • Various drones have extended application area very fast. In this paper, we define two contradictions in designing a portable-size drone by using TRIZ technique. The first is a physical contradiction between high rigidity and good portability, and the second is a technical contradiction between high stability and good portability. Through TRIZ technique, six design principles, which guide direction for optimal design, were driven. Consequently, an umbrella mechanism and design criteria were proposed for a portable-size drone. Detail design is verified through finite element method. Test results for the portable-size prototype drone show good performance, and prove its usefulness to be equivalent to a general full-size drone.

  • 약물방출 고분자 코팅 스텐트는 수술후 재협착을 획기적으로 줄였지만, 약물방출이 균일한 구조체를 제작하는 것이 어렵고 체내에 구조체를 영구적으로 남겨야 하는 부담을 여전히 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하는 방안으로 생분해성 고분자로 스텐트를 제작하는 방법들이 활발하게 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 조형가공기술(solid freeform fabrication, SFF)의 하나인 쾌속조형기법(rapid prototyping technique)의 3차원 플로팅(3D plotting) 기술을 이용하여 파크리탁셀(PTX) 약물을 함유한 폴리카프로락톤(PCL) 3차원 구조체를 제작하였고, 생분해성 PCL 고분자로부터 PTX의 방출거동과 스텐트 제작 가능성을 고찰하였다. 약물을 포함한 구조체의 표면특성을 SEM으로 확인한 결과 굴곡이 자연스럽고 매끄러운 표면을 가지고 있었다. FTIR을 통해서 약물이 성공적으로 구조체에 포함되었음을 확인하였고, NMR과 HPLC를 통해서 PCL 구조체 중의 PCL함량과 PTX의 서서히 방출됨을 확인되었다. 또한 세포실험을 통해 구조체에서 방출된 약물이 생물학적으로 활성을 유지하고 있으며, 반복제작된 구조체에서도 균일한 활성의 약물이 방출됨을 확인하였다. 이와같은 쾌속조형기법을 이용하여 약물을 포함하는 구조체를 제작하고 분석함으로써, 생분해성 고분자 스텐트로서의 적용가능성을 제시하였다.
