MSMEs in the food and beverage industry play a critical role in the Indonesian economy since they account for the majority of the manufacturing sector's GDP. Despite its importance, it is unable to compete on a worldwide scale due to a lack of technological adoption. As a result, the purpose of this study is to look into the concerns and challenges that F&B MSMEs have when it comes to technology adoption. An online survey of 626 MSMEs and in-depth interviews as well as focus groups with diverse stakeholders from four provinces, namely West Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, and North Sumatera, provided the data for this study. To be thorough, the approach used in the study is based on the Technology, Organization, and Environment (TOE) framework. According to the findings, the majority of MSMEs use technology for marketing and sales, mainly through e-commerce. Meanwhile, for a variety of reasons, most of them continue to rely on traditional and semi-automatic technologies for production. According to the TOE framework, MSMEs lack those three parts of the technology adoption framework, particularly the environmental aspect, which is mostly due to a lack of cooperation among stakeholders. Finally, as a policy proposal, we offer a comprehensive technology adoption strategy based on the findings through an integrated MSMEs development information system including many important stakeholders.

The logistics information system has been recently attracting a great deal of attention for its importance in the national economy. It should be noted, however, that the degree of the system utilization differs by the capabilities of the logistics firms such as logistics management skills, robustness of the organization, technical sophistication, and administrative abilities. A survey was conducted in the Busan and Kyungnam area for 174 companies in the logistics and manufacturing industry. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : First, the degree of utilization of the logistics information system varies depending upon business-type details. Secondly, utilization of the logistics information system is equally important for both manufacturing and logistics companies. Thirdly, it was found that the executives of the companies with logistics management skills can play a key role in utilizing the logistics information system. Finally, the degree of utilization has positive relationships with the logistics performance as the companies benefit from the system not just for saving costs, but more importantly for providing higher-quality services for their customers.
With the advent of the era of the 4th industrial revolution, various factors such as economy, management, and culture are changing in modern society, unlike in the past. Among them, the main characteristic of management is the change from intangible goods to tangible goods, and companies are trying to pursue innovation such as introducing a new management method, converting from manufacturing to service, and expanding technology. However, with regard to human resources, which is becoming the most important for sustainable value creation in a changing era, efforts to enable practical innovation are lacking as they are still in a simple transition. Therefore, in this study, after recognizing the importance of human resources, we verified the relationship between the elements of the human resource in the service economy era according to organizational culture and organizational structure. The relationship between organizational culture and organizational structure by type was verified using the items of human resources, we verified the relationship between the elements of the human resource in the service economy era that were derived and verified in recent research. However, data on ownership of business establishments may be useful and one of the best alternatives for this empirical research because of use of limited information about control This study examines the spatial patterns of external control in the Korean manufacturing activities between 1986 and 1992. Using the data on ownership iinkages of multilocational firms between 15 administrative areas, it was possible to construct a matrix of organizational control in terms of the number of establishments. The control matrix was disaggregated by three types of manufacturing industries according to the capital and labor requirements of production processes used in. On the basis of the disaggregated control matrix, a series of measures were calculated for investigating the magnitude and direction of control as well as the external dependency. In the past decades Korean industrialization development has risen at a rapid pace, deepening integration into the world economy, together with the continuing growth of the large industrial firms. The expanded scale of large firms led to a spatial separation of production from control, Increasing branch plants in the nation. But recent important changes have occurred in the spatial organization of production by technological development, increasing international competition, and changing local labor markets. These changes have forced firms to reorganize their production structures, resulting in changes of the organizational structures in certain industries and regions. In this context the empirical analysis revealed the following principal trends. In general term, the geography of corporate control in Korea is marked by a twofold pattern of concentration and dispersion. The dominance of Seoul as a major command and control center has been evident over the period, though its overall share of allexternally controlled establishments has decreased from 88% to 79%. And the substantial amount of external control from Seoul has concentrated to the Kyongki and Southeast regions which are well-developed industrial areas. But Seoul's corporate ownership links tend to streteh across the country to the less-developed regions, most of which have shown a significant increase of external dependency during the period 1986-1992. At the same time, a geographic dispersion of corporate control is taking place as Kyongki province and Pusan are developing as new increasingly important command and control reaions. Though these two resions contain a number of branch plants controlled from other locations, they may be increasingly attractive as a headquarters location with increasing locally owned establishments. The geographical patterns of external control observable in each of three types of manufacturing industries were examined in order to distinguish the changing spatial structures of organizational control with respect to the characteristics of the production processes. Labor intensive manufacturing with unskilled iabor experienced the strongest external pressure from foreign competition and a lack of low cost labor. The high pressure expected not only to disinte-grate the production process but also led to location of production facilities in areas of cheap labor. The linkages of control between Seoul and the less-developed regions have slightly increased, while the external dependency of the industrialized regions might be reduced from the tendency of organizational disintegration. Capita1 intensive manufacturing operates under high entry and exit barriers due to capital intensity. The need to increase scale economies ied to an even stronger economic and spatial oncentration of control. The strong geographical oncentration of control might be influenced by orporate and organizational scale economies rather than by locational advantages. Other sectors experience with respect to branch plants of multilocational firms. The policy implications of the increase of external dependency in less-developed regions may be negative because of the very share of unskilled workers and lack of autonomy in decision making. The strong growth of the national economy and a scarcity of labor in core areas have been important factors in this regional decentralization of industries to less-developed regions. But the rather gloomy prospects of the economic growth in the near future could prevent the further industrialization of less-developed areas. A major rethinking of regional policy would have to take place towards a need for a regional policy actively favoring indigenous establishments.
The present study was motivated by the needs to make diversified scientific approaches toward influential factors like human, technical, organization, policy and environmental on the basis of the specialized information concerning the cause for industrial accidents in a measure to prevent the falling accident which has the biggest priority among the three major frequent industrial accidents. In this connection, diverse policies have been practiced in the meantime, with little effects in fact to reduce occurrence of industrial accidents, seemingly because such policies have been practiced on the direct dimension, instead of tries to nip in the bud of fundamental causes. This study was thus conducted with a view to determine the causes that have influence on falling accidents from the overall context and unearth the factors requiring management with priority. For this aim, "Fall from Height"(2003), a study by HSE, UK was applied to various conditions of korea as an experiment to search for fundamental causes for falling accidents. The major findings of this study might be summed up as exploring a main critical path that has influence upon falling accidents and suggesting effective ways to cut down through the critical path.
There are lots of efforts to get more and more higher level of reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety in all the railway system development process. To do a RAMS activity and process very effectively, many an information is required based on operational knowledge and manufacturer's engineering technology together. But some interests between organization in demand sector and manufacturers in supply makes it difficult to do. This paper, for this reason, presents an idea about the activities and process for SR001 system, which is newly under developing and manufacturing by SMRT. Especially, we provide it with some idea how to integrate every activity and process and to analyze it specifically for system level as well. With these efforts, we provide a typical RAMS process of SR001 that could be applicable to other rolling stock system and the improvement of the system over total life cycle phases.

This paper aims to analyze the result of SE Process Implementation on Light Rail Transit(LRT) Project. Currently the Light Rail Transit Project of Korea applies SE to the intermediate phase, that is, E&M phase which is a manufacturing and designing procedure. More seriously, the application effect of SE is not remarkable because it applies to some specific engineering fields like RAMS and it depends on superficial consulting of foreign companies with low SE support capability and investment capital. This study points out that the "Requirement Analysis" and "System Alternative Review" has not been conducted from the initial phase (basic plan and basic design) of the LRT projects. Several projects indicate that the amount of investments for SE activities through the Korea LRT project is relatively very small in comparison with the global capital which is about 10% of total project budget. Furthermore, Korea LRT projects have very few SE professionals and weak SE organization with no government directions and guide book for the efficient implementation of SE for the LRT projects.

This paper describes the methodology of an IEC 1131-3-based control logic generator for the control system design and converting algorithm between programmable languages. The proposed control logic generator is generated based on the software model and common element with data type, variables, POUs(program organization unit) and execution control unit commonly used within programmable languages of IEC 1131-3 Standard. The generation method of object file was proposed on five programmable language based on IECI 131-3. The generation method of object file is represented as following; 1) the generation method using conversion algorithm from LD to IL with FBD(function block diagram), 2) the generation method using C code generation algorithm from SFC using the SFC execution sequence with FBD and ST(structured text). The proposed control logic generator was implemented by Visual C++ and MFC on MS-windows NT 4.0

In this paper, it is presented a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of fuzzy control system based-on digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness for system of industrial robot. Fuzzy control has emerged as one of the most active and fruitful areas for research in the applications of fuzzy set theory, especially in the real of industrial processes. In this thesis, a self-organizing fuzzy controller for the industrial robot manipulator with a actuator located at the base is studied. A fuzzy logic composed of linguistic conditional statements is employed by defining the relations of input-output variable of the controller, In the synthesis of a FLC, one of the most difficult problems is the determination of linguistic control rules from the human operators. To overcome this difficult, SOFC is proposed fir a hierarchical control structure consisting of basic level and high level that modify control rules. The proposed SOFC scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation and suitable for implementation of real-time control. Performance of the SOFC is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for robot with eight joints.
