  • There is a one to one correspondence between Artinian algebras $k[x_1,...,x_n]/Ann(M)$ and finitely generated $k[x_1,...,x_n]-submodules$ M of $k[y_1,...,y_n]$ by Inverse System. In particular, any Artinian level algebra $k[x_1,...,x_n]/Ann(M)$ can be obtained when M is finitely generated by only maximal degree generators. We prove that H = (1, 4, 8, 13,..., 27, 8, 2) is not a level Artinian O-sequence using this inverse system.

  • The 3-Dimensional(3D) localization system based on beacon expansion and coordinate-space disassembly for the design of the 3D localization system in indoor environment is proposed and the performance of the proposed system is analyzed in this paper. The localization ratio of the 3D localization system adapts the proposed algorithm is analyzed by the calculation of errors occurred in the coordinates that the mobile node locates. It is indicated that the average error distance of the 3D localization system adapts the proposed algorithm is less than that of the 3D localization system not adapts the proposed algorithm as 0.47m. The localization average distance error in 12 coordinates is indicated that the 1.5m case is less than 2.5m case as 0.38m by some experimentations under the condition that the distances between the ceiling and the mobile node are 1.5m and 2.5m measured from the ceiling respectively. It is seen that the 3D localization system based on beacon expansion and coordinate-space disassembly can improved the degradation of the quality of service that is caused by some conditions and performance differences in sensors.

  • In this paper, we propose Fuzzy M/M/1/K queueing network model which has derived by appling the fuzzy set theory to M/M/l/K queueing network model in which has single server and system capacity K. When the arriving rate of input job and the servicing rate of a server arc represented as the linguistic attributes, the system analysis can be performed by using this model. The major evaluation measures of system such as the average number of jobs existing in the system, the average number of jobs into system, and the average spending time of job in system etc. are derived for the evaluation of system. Computer simulation was performed for verifying the effectiveness of these result equations. In which the various fuzzy arriving rates and fuzzy servicing rates according to varying the system capacity K were given for the system evaluation. We verified that the results of simulation are in accord with the expected evaluations in the proposed fuzzy model.

  • In the case of numerical implementation, the exact solution method for the M/M/s system where customers demand multiple server use [2] reveals limitations, if a system has large number of servers or types of customers. This is due to the huge matrices involved in the course of the calculations. This paper offers an approximation scheme for such cases. Capitalizing the characteristics of the service rate curve of the system, this method approximates the service rate as a piecewise linear function. With the service rates obtained from the linear function for each number of customers n (n=0. 1. 2,$\cdots$), ${\mu}(n)$, steady-state probabilities and measures of performance are found treating this system as an ordinary M/M/s system. This scheme performs well when the traffic intensity of a system is below about 0.8. Some numerical examples are presented.

  • The sprinkler system is a basic fire extinguishing system that uses water as an extinguishing agent. In order to evaluate the fire extinguishing performance of the sprinkler system, information such as the discharge angle, discharge speed, discharge pressure, flow rate, and water droplet size of the installed head are required. However, there is a lack of research on droplets size compared to other requirements. In this study, to evaluate the extinguishing characteristics of sprinkler system, the droplet size distribution was measured for various types of sprinkler heads actually used. The size of the droplet was measured using laser diffraction method. The 50% cumulative volume distribution ($D_{v50}$) according to discharge coefficient(K factor) was $540{\mu}m{\sim}695{\mu}m$ for K50, $542{\mu}m{\sim}1,192{\mu}m$ for K80, $980{\mu}m{\sim}1,223{\mu}m$ for K115 and $1,188{\mu}m{\sim}1,234{\mu}m$ for K202. Based on the measured results, the vaeiance of the droplet particle distribution and the distribution ($D_{v50}$) according to discharge coefficient(K factor) was $540{\mu}m{\sim}695{\mu}m$ for K50, $542{\mu}m{\sim}1,192{\mu}m$ for K80, $980{\mu}m{\sim}1,223{\mu}m$ for K115 and $1,188{\mu}m{\sim}1,234{\mu}m$ for K202. Based on the measured results, the vaeiance of the droplet particle distribution and the Rosin-Rammler index value are presented. As a result of the fire simulation with FDS, it was confirmed that the performance difference occurs according to the water droplet size distribution even when the same amount of water is used. Therefore, the extinguishing performance of the sprinkler system should be evaluated considering the droplet size distribution according to the sprinkler head type.

  • The defense M&S system, which has been classified as a weapon system between requirements determination and project implementation, is being developed by applying the weapon system development procedure of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration. The M&S system abstracts and models the real world to suit the intended use and proceeds with the process of developing it as a software-oriented system. Overseas, the conceptual model development stage is staged before entering the design stage after the requirements analysis. In addition, each step includes verification and validation processes. In Korea, while establishing and applying the weapon system development procedure based on the SE process, the M&S system is also applied in the same way as the general weapon system, limiting appropriate development outputs and verification and validation. In this study, the system development procedure of the M&S system is established and presented based on the relevant standards and SE process of developed countries.

  • As for M/G/1 queueing system, we use various control policies, with which we can optimize the system. Up to now the most widely adopted policies are N-Policy, T-Policy, D-Policy, and so on. The existing researches are largely concerned to find an optimal operation condition or to optimize the system under single policy in M/G/1 system. There are, however, few literatures dealing with multiple control policies at once to enhance the flexibility of the model. In this study, we consider M/G/1 system adopting N-Policy and T-Policy simultaneously. If one of two conditions is satisfied, then, the server starts the service. We call this Min(N,T)-Policy. We find the probability distribution of the number of customers and mean waiting time in steady state and derive a cost function. Next, we seek the $N^*$, optimal threshold under various N values. Finally, we reveal the characteristics of cost function.

  • In the development of the weapon systems, utilization of Modeling & Simulation is growing in every aspect of development process. For the higher utilization of M&S, reuse of the M&S resources is needed to reduce the cost of M&S. I propose the M&S architecture framework that can enhance the reusability of the M&S resources in developing surface-to-air weapon systems. This M&S architecture design framework enables interoperability between the system and sub-systems. In this paper, the advantage and the necessity of the M&S architecture design framework will be described by introducing the cases that the M&S architecture framework reused in the combat experiments, the system development tests, the system operational tests and the concept developments in real projects. These cases will show the high reusability and efficiency of the M&S architecture design framework.
